I feel paralyzed with this warm fuzzy feeling, then all of a sudden his face is already close to mine, I can feel his breath, is he going to kiss me? That is what Sean thought. He closed his eyes, and Skyler just grinned. Sean felt something tighten around his waist; he opened his eyes and noticed it was just the seatbelt. He sighed in relief. "Were you expecting a kiss?" Skyler teased him, "Why would I expect a kiss from you?" but his face betrayed him, he already blushed, Skyler couldn't help but tease him, "We can kiss if you want…" Skyler suggested, with a smile on his face, "No way!" he almost used his male voice in answering, "I'm just teasing you, and there is no need to get upset…" Skyler said as he started the engine.
Sean wants to be buried alive right then and there. It was very embarrassing. He remembered Lemon had texted him, but he couldn't answer yet; Skyler was still with him.
"I never thought I would be able to do something, after all these years, I thought no one would be as interesting as someone like you…" Skyler spoke out of context. Sean looked at him, "When did you start liking me?" He asked, he wants to know if it's before he came to the company or during, "It is when you bump into me at the elevator, I never got to see that side of you…" Skyler said, Sean's heart beats so fast, he is going to fall for him, but he remembered he is a guy, "You said you never liked anyone? Did you mean like women or including men?" he asked, "What are you talking about? I'm straight, I never like anyone romantically with men, and it is just that there is no way…" Skyler explained that Sean's world collapsed; it is only he who fell for Skyler, not his sister, so there is no way Skyler would be loved back, unless his sister liked Skyler.
They arrived at his apartment, and he instantly went out, "Wait! Cindy! Did I upset you? Did I say something wrong?" Skyler asked, Sean wanted to scream at him, telling him why can't he like a guy, why should it be his sister, why can't it be him instead, but he keep it to himself, "Nothing I'm just tired, thank you for the ride home, I'll see you in the office" Sean went in, and Skyler left.
Sean looked at the mirror, he sighed and removed his wig, and looked, would he still like me after he finds out? He asked himself, and he set down the wig.
He looked at Lemon's text message,
Lemon: I saw someone who looked like a woman at the café earlier.
Lemon: Are you busy? You usually reply to me fast… I'm kinda worried.
Sean: Sorry, I was charging my phone and I had it set to mute, I was watching a movie.
Lemon: Oh, you finally replied…
Sean: Maybe you saw my older sister…
Lemon: Oh wow, so that was your sister, you didn't tell me she looks like a female version of you. Is your sister single?
Sean: I guess so… why do you ask?
Lemon: Well, won't you like me to be your brother-in-law?
Sean: Stop it! I'm tired, I'll go now…
Sean can't believe it; his friend, who is also his crush, is interested in his sister. Now it looks complicated; he doesn't know how to react.
Lemon texted,
Lemon: Found your sister's social media account, tell her to confirm me…
Sean: I'll tell her to block you…
Lemon: Oh, come on…
Sean didn't pay attention. The next day, he went to work, and Lemon was there, approaching him.
"Hi, I'm your brother's friend, my name is Lemon…" he offered his hand, Sean reached for it, "and I'm Cindy." Suddenly, someone grabbed his waist. It was Skyler. Sean was surprised, "Excuse us, she needs to go to work…" Skyler said, and Sean just walked along with Skyler.
Sean went to his sister's cubicle as he continued his work, and Skyler kept looking out for him.
Sean received a text from Lemon,
Lemon: Your sister didn't confirm with me yet. I saw her earlier, and you said she doesn't have a boyfriend yet. I saw her with someone earlier. She's so pretty up close.
Sean: I don't know my sister's love life. I told you to stop pursuing her.
Lemon: Hmph! I'm upset you should go out with me this weekend, Saturday, just the two of us, we will play Loop Treasure, the new game by the SkyMaze.
Sean: Okay, no problem…
Sean sighs; he knows how persistent Lemon is. Skyler approached, "I'll just remind you we have a date this Saturday," Skyler said and winked.
MEANWHILE
Cindy takes care of their mom, Lora, who's still in a coma, and she needs to take care of her and also the house. Their father had been with someone else and with his new family, so there were only the three of them. Cindy had been wanting to bring her mom abroad with her and Sean, but her mom wants to stay at their home because it is where she grew up, and also where Cindy and Sean grew up. Cindy waits for her mother to wake up. "Ma, it's me… Cindy… Sean was still there… working things out for us… I just hope you wake up soon… because I miss you so much…" Cindy said with tears pouring out of her eyes. She held her mother's hand tightly, wanting her to feel her presence.
She looks at her phone and sees someone friend requesting her, "Lemon Avery Lucroix? Isn't this Sean's rich best friend? He could wait… I have to check on Sean… I hope he's doing well…" Cindy went through their group chat in the office, only to find a rumor about her and Skyler; the group chat is composed only of his colleagues in the planning department.
DevJen: Is it true? Or my eyes playing tricks, I saw Boss and Cindy at the entrance, his hands wrapped around her waist!!!
DevLou: There was a yellow-haired cutie who approached her as well…
Wujin: They were at the café after the launch,
