"Skyler! Do you have extra cash? We need to pay for our electricity!" Skyler's mom Sunshine yelled from downstairs,
"Mom I haven't received my payment," He said from upstairs, "Well, if you do, pay the bills, and your brother needs money for his date! So keep making those silly games so that we can have money!" Sunshine yelled, Skyler didn't argue with his mom, instead, he continued to create games, he is only 20 yet he already created games, he was still in college in web development but his game-developing skills are beyond compare, getting tens of thousands download from across the world for his fun and interactive offline games and was bought by big gaming companies. He looks at the box of chocolate he received from an admirer, it has a letter in it "I like you" he sighs puts the card away, and eats the chocolate, he continues developing and designing the animation, and after he lays down in bed, "Romance.. tsk!" he set his glasses on his bedside table, "If I fall in love I hope it's somebody that could understand me, pfft the heck of course they'll understand me I'm speaking in English, this is why I don't have a lover, I'm talking to myself… who else I'm gonna talk to? You? Yeah, you the one reading this… do you think I'll be able to find love?" "Hey Sky who are you talking with?!" His brother Orion knocks, "I'm… on my phone!" Skyler lied. "Hey I need money for my date, give me 500…" Orion demanded, Skylar sent the to his brother's account the money, and also sent his mother the payment for the bills, even though Orion is older he kept asking Skyler for money, Skyler is the middle child and the only one who looks neither of his parents but looked like his grandfather on his father side, so he was rather loved by his uncles and aunts and grandparents rather than his parents and he became their personal bank since he turned 18, but he can't do anything about it and just continued to support his family. 3 years passed he still became the source of income for the family, he built his own company "Sky! Why haven't you given me money? Are you neglecting your responsibilities to me? Your mother? I gave birth to you and you are obliged to repay me!" Skyler's mom said, Skyler finally snapped, he realized his mere existence is for his parents to have money, thinking that since Skyler looked like his grandpa then he is going to inherit the Mazer's assets, but that is where they got it wrong, the assets all went to his cousin Ronan Mazer the sole heir of their family, Skyler already accepted it but still, his parents believed they still had a chance with Skyler's face. "Mom! Am I really your son? Or a bank to you? I gave you everything I could give you, ever since I was young you never helped with my studies, Ronan's mom is the one who sent me to school to fully support my education, my allowance was given to you and Dad, and especially your favorite Orion, while I struggle in working for them, tutoring Ronan and even lowered myself to his personal bodyguard, even though we are cousins because I am nothing to them, so don't have shares with their wealth, my existence is nothing to them a charity as they see, because dad married you, a commoner, and no use for them, who doesn't know the business or even handling money which you showed them when they saw the difference between me and Orion!" Skyler finally said what he wanted to say all these years, but a slap hit his face, it was a really hard slap that made his ear ring and lose his balance, "… you think you know enough just because you built this company that you are so proud now? Think of what your employees learn how disrespectful you are!!!" His mom yelled, he barely heard the first thing his mother said, it must have been her calling him ungrateful, his employees looked at him and when he looked at them they instantly avoided his gaze and continued to work, while his mom left the building. Skyler looked at his computer as he continued developing games, then he received a notification, a new player of his developed game, named Seasalt. "Why is your name Seasalt?" He asked, "My mother used to crave salt when she was pregnant with me," Seasalt replied, Skyler laughed forgetting the incident earlier. "That is really funny, my name is SkyMaze" he introduces himself with his pseudonym, "Nice name, either you will get lost in the maze of clouds or maze of stars in the sky just to reach either the sun or moon" Seasalt explained, Skyler never thought of this, he just thought his name was just to compliment all of their names, his dad named Rigel like the star that can be found in the Orion constellation, and his mom named Sunshine. "I never thought of that about my name" Skyler typed responding to Seasalt, "You make good games and have a great name, I want to be like a pro gamer and game developer like you" Skyler's heart fluttered with the compliment, that he announced an extra bonus to his employee, and since then he would cherish his name, and his company was named after it.
He wanted to meet Seasalt, "Where are you from Seasalt?" Skyler typed, "I'm from the Philippines, and I'm still 14 years old" Seasalt replied, Skyler choked on his coffee as he read Seasalt's response, "You're still 14? Yet you are already very… smart" Skyler praises him, "No I'm not…" Seasalt replied, "One day, we will meet, and then we can play one on one" Skyler offered, "Sure…" But it has been 5 years and Skyler hasn't talked with Seasalt, it's not that he is busy but, Seasalt rarely plays, and when he does Skyler is busy.
PRESENT
Skyler went to his house, he looked at his room and thought someone would be there waiting for him, but of course, he was alone in his condo unit.
"How can I find someone… it is too hard…" Skyler muttered to himself. He lays down on his king-size bed, "I wish tomorrow is a better day" Skyler said and went to sleep. The next day, Skyler goes to his office he bumps into Cindy, she looks awkward, and he glances at her and then proceeds to the elevator. He went in and Cindy went in as well, "Good Morning sir…" she said in a high-pitched tone voice, "Are you hitting falsetto?" Skyler asked, "No, sir… just had a pitchy morning" Cindy explained, "Okay… how was the project?" He asked while looking at his phone, "It was fine" Cindy replied, "Fine? I need details not just fine…" Skyler raised his eyebrow and glared at her, he just fixed his bangs as he was annoyed early in the morning, as soon as the elevator door opened he came out, "I need a full report later!" Skyler said and headed to his office, Cindy who has been confident suddenly becomes timid and very awkward. Skyler just shrugged it off, the entire day Cindy was totally off. Skyler went to the comfort room and he was relieved, then Cindy went in, "Cindy! What are you doing here?!" Skyler said as he was surprised to see Cindy, "Uhmm… well… I'm sorry" Cindy went out immediately "What the hell is wrong with her?" Skyler continued to relieve himself.
