Chapter 50: Dimensional Travel · Outcast World
[Photo Princess]: Rimuru?
[Photo Princess]: [Moe King]
[UnshakenBilian]: Looks like he's gone. Moment of silence.
[Dragon King Spitting Water]: Let us wish Rimuru a peaceful journey. Moment of silence.
[Seeker Of Dao]: +1

Seeing the casual and relaxed conversation in the group chat, Zhongli finally felt at ease.
He then opened the group store, and based on the instructions in the group files, sold some of his knowledge.
After collecting enough points, he bought a copy of the Golden Light Mantra.
As he flipped through the technique from another world, Zhongli nodded while reading.
It was indeed excellent. It allowed ordinary people to possess strength equal to, or even greater than, those with Visions.
Just from that, it was evident—people from other worlds had proven they could thrive even without gods.
"In that case, it truly is a good thing."
...
Exiting the group chat, Wu Tong looked at the dimensional travel ticket he had exchanged for.
The ticket was a piece of white paper, about the size of a talisman.
Rectangular in shape, the edges were completely blank except for the center.
In the center was a circle, and inside the circle was one large character, occupying the whole space: "票" (ticket).
Looking at the ticket, Wu Tong couldn't help but let his inner sarcasm erupt.
"Isn't this just a blank sheet with a circle and a word on it? So lazy. No wonder it's a weekly ticket—cheap for a reason."
He then reopened the group's private chat.
[Seeker Of Dao]: Chulan, I just bought a dimensional travel ticket...
[UnshakenBilian]: Brother Tong, are you planning to come to my world?
Zhang Chulan immediately guessed Wu Tong's intention after reading his message.
[Seeker Of Dao]: Yeah, you already know I need to accumulate more knowledge. I've already exhausted everything I could access in the Douluo world.
[Seeker Of Dao]: So I need new material. In a modern society, it's way easier to gather data.
[Seeker Of Dao]: Don't worry, I'll pay you back. How about curing Elder Tian Jinzhong's body?
[UnshakenBilian]: Sure thing, come on over. And help me out while you're at it—I still don't know what those Quanzhen weirdos are planning.
Zhang Chulan thought it over and agreed.
After all, the Quanzhen people hadn't found his grandfather's body, so they'd definitely target him next.
If Wu Tong came, he could save some points and help fend off the incoming trouble from Quanzhen.
[Seeker Of Dao]: Great. Then I'm on my way.
Wu Tong had no objections. He understood perfectly well that gains always came with effort.
After finishing the chat, Wu Tong exited the group, organized his belongings one last time, and after confirming nothing was missing, jumped down from the banyan tree and returned to the wooden house.
Standing before the house, he took out the dimensional ticket and pressed it to the door.
A flash of white light, and the ticket disappeared—dissolving into a soft glow that enveloped the entire door.
With a thought, Wu Tong grabbed the doorknob and opened the door.
The scene beyond was no longer the familiar interior, but a white curtain stretched across the frame—transforming the ordinary door into a gateway linking two worlds.
Wu Tong's face lit up. As long as this experiment proved his theory, this would be a massive gain.
Outcast World, here I come.
He took a deep breath and stepped into the portal.
A flash of white light—Wu Tong and the curtain vanished from the spot.
...
Outcast World.
Night had fallen. A waning moon hung in the sky, its light spilling across the land, illuminating the human world below.
Zhang Chulan and his grandfather Zhang Huaiyi sat atop a small hill surrounded by forest. After fleeing for most of the day, they had decided to rest here for a while.
"Grandpa, Brother Tong is coming over."
Zhang Chulan looked at Zhang Huaiyi and said.
"The friend from that group chat you mentioned?" Zhang Huaiyi asked. "Weren't they still unable to cross over?"
"It just became possible. The group leveled up—it can now connect across worlds. Not only can Brother Tong come here, we can also go over there," Zhang Chulan explained.
"Then let him come. I'd like to see what kind of friend my grandson has made," Zhang Huaiyi said with a laugh.
Just as the words left his mouth, a white curtain of light slowly appeared in the space before them.
The white screen stood upright like a rectangular door planted in the ground, glowing softly with pale light.
It looked both mysterious and sacred.
Then, as the light retreated backward, a tall youth nearly eight feet in height seemed to be spat out from the screen, suddenly appearing before the two.
The screen didn't stop. It continued to slide backward, growing dimmer until it eventually faded into nothingness in the air.
Seeing the elderly and young man in front of him, Wu Tong immediately knew he had successfully crossed worlds.
After all, the young man in front of him looked exactly like the Zhang Chulan he remembered from the anime in his past life.
White t-shirt, brown jacket, black pants, and a four-leaf clover hairstyle tied at the back of his head. His entire demeanor carried a distinctive aura.
"Yo, Chulan. Senior Zhang."
Wu Tong waved to Zhang Chulan and Zhang Huaiyi, then walked up to them.
"Brother Tong."
Seeing Wu Tong approach, Zhang Chulan raised a hand to greet him.
Wu Tong raised his hand in a peace sign toward Zhang Chulan, then took a screenshot and sent it to the group.
[Seeker Of Dao]: Met up with Chulan in real life.
[Seeker Of Dao]: Group photo.jpg
[Dragon King Spitting Water]: ???
[Dragon King Spitting Water]: How did you two suddenly meet up in real life?
[Heaven Base King]: Yo, you two standing together actually look pretty good.
[Moe King]: You're saying that eight-foot-tall guy is Wu Tong? Isn't he supposed to be twelve?
[Photo Princess]: Eh? You're awake? How are you feeling, [Moe King]?
[Moe King]: Hard to explain. If I didn't have super high poison resistance, I probably would've been out for a day or two.
Thinking about what the Great Sage said when analyzing the coffee, Rimuru's face went green. He swore never to let his curiosity get the better of him again.
[Passerby]: Looks like Himeko's coffee really is something else. Even Rimuru, who has no sense of taste, couldn't handle it.
Everyone smiled knowingly at Rimuru's words, and the topic quickly shifted.
[Dragon King Spitting Water]: Back to the point though—eight feet tall at twelve years old is kind of insane. I know Douluo people mature fast, but that's a bit much.
[Seeker Of Dao]: Haha, I'll start a livestream to explain that one.
[Seeker Of Dao]: And while I'm at it, I'll give everyone a look at this modern world. I bet some of you miss it, or are at least curious.
[Moe King]: Thanks in advance. I haven't been gone long, but I still feel a bit nostalgic.
[Worldly Wanderer]: Much appreciated, Brother Wu Tong. I remain curious about the world built by humans.
[Worldly Wanderer]: I've seen parts of it in other stories, but nothing beats witnessing it myself.
[Seeker Of Dao]: OK.
Wu Tong made a hand gesture and opened the group livestream.
[Ding~ Group member "Seeker Of Dao" has started a livestream. Everyone, come take a look!]
As the group notification fell, everyone rushed into the stream.
"[Worldly Wanderer] has joined the livestream."
"[Moe King] has joined the livestream."
"[Photo Princess] has joined the livestream."
...
"So this... is the miracle humans created?"
Looking at the stream view, even from atop a mountain, they could see the city lights below glowing brightly and beautifully.
Zhongli's expression turned wistful. Though he had seen depictions of human civilization's prosperity in other worlds, seeing it with his own eyes left him truly amazed by its brilliance.
Zhongli was undoubtedly a god who loved humanity. Every Archon in Teyvat loved people.
But most of them treated humans like children in need of protection—unwilling to let go.
Yet Zhongli had the strength to let go. He chose to trust his people, transitioning Liyue from rule by god to rule by man. Though partly due to wear and tear, it also showed his resolve.
To believe in humanity. To believe in his children.
Zhongli never regretted that decision, but he had harbored doubts about the future.
Now, having witnessed humanity's potential with his own eyes, Zhongli finally let go of that uncertainty—and chose to believe.
