Her lips curved faintly. She did not answer with words, but she leaned into his touch, letting her silence show him what she felt.
Yanchen still held her hand, his thumb brushing against her skin as if reassuring himself she was real. He leaned closer, his voice low and steady.
"Mianmian, come with me. There's somewhere I want to take you. Just us."
Her lips curved into a small smile. "You're being very mysterious. Where are you taking me?"
"You'll know when we get there.." he said, eyes dark with determination. "But it's a place where I can tell you what I've been holding inside."
She searched his face for a moment. Whatever it was, he meant it. She gave a light nod, squeezing his hand. "Then let's go."
They walked out to the road, where his black sedan was parked by the curb. He opened the passenger door for her, waited until she slid in, then closed it gently before circling to the driver's seat.
