Chapter 223 - Chapter 223: Mr. Fu, Have You Ever Seen a Fairy?

Ning Xiner's face turned pale. What fairy?"Ajun, what fairy? You…"

"Ning Xiner," Fan Jun interrupted coldly, "I'm officially informing you—we're breaking up. I'm going after my fairy."

The call ended with two sharp beeps.

"Hello? Ajun! Ajun!" Ning Xiner shouted into the phone, her hands trembling.

Lu Yao, standing beside her, frowned. "Xiner, what happened?"

Ning Xiner's grip tightened around her phone, her expression dark and twisted. "Yaoyao, Ajun wants to break up with me. He's obsessed with some… fairy."

"Fairy?" Lu Yao's brows knitted. Born into privilege, she was the cherished daughter of the Lu family and used to being the center of every social circle in the capital. To her, fairies only existed in folklore and bedtime tales.Where could such a person possibly come from?

At the Shen estate, inside the princess-style bedroom, Madam Shen and Celia were studying a delicate little bell bracelet. Madam Shen sighed, turning it over in her hands.

"My dear, this little bell is extraordinary. I can't even tell what material it's made of. Why don't we ask Mr. Jiang?"

Mr. Jiang was the president of Tsinghua University, one of the most prestigious institutions in the capital. He was renowned for his vast knowledge and love of rare antiques.

Celia, eager to uncover her true origins, knew she had to start with this little bell. She picked up her phone and dialed Mr. Jiang.

The call had barely connected when an excited, elderly voice boomed through the receiver.

"Hello? Little Cici! You finally remembered to call an old man like me. I thought I'd never hear your voice again."

"…Elder Jiang, I have a little bell bracelet with me. Could you take a look at it when you're free?"

"Of course, of course! But, Little Cici, our Tsinghua University team is preparing to compete in the World Science and Technology Competition. Could you spare some time to give them a lecture?"

Celia: "…"

As expected, Elder Jiang hadn't changed. He never missed a chance to drag her into something.

"Little Cici, this competition is vital. I, an old man, desperately need your help. Don't worry, besides you, another prodigy of Tsinghua will be returning as well. With two geniuses of the century guiding our team, victory will be ours!"

Celia finally relented with a helpless sigh. "Alright. But about the bell bracelet—"

"I'm currently abroad at a seminar," Elder Jiang interrupted. "I'll return soon. Bring it to me when I get back. In the meantime, you can return to Tsinghua—it is your alma mater, after all."

Celia nodded softly. "Okay."

At the Night Club, Lu Yao had gathered her circle of friends once again. Not long after, Nathaniel Fu arrived.

Lu Yao quickly stepped forward, wrapping herself around his arm. "Nancheng, you're here."

Nathaniel removed his black leather gloves and handed them to Secretary Song. Then, with a faint smile, he pulled Lu Yao close. His gaze softened as it lingered on her. "Why did you want to come here again?"

"Tonight's meeting is about a plan Xin'er and Mr. Fan set up. But you don't know—Mr. Fan is threatening to break up with Xin'er. He claims he's fallen head over heels for some little fairy."

Nathaniel arched an eyebrow. "What little fairy?"

"I have no idea. None of us in the capital's socialite circle have seen such a person. She must have appeared out of nowhere. But she's already enchanted Mr. Fan."

Still holding Lu Yao, Nathaniel pushed open the door to a lavish private room. Inside, wealthy heirs and elegant young women immediately rose to their feet.

"Mr. Fu."

Nathaniel took the main seat on the sofa, his presence commanding. Everyone else quickly followed, sitting in neat rows. His gaze fell on Fan Jun.

"What's this about a fairy you can't stop talking about?"

At the mention of her, Fan Jun's usual arrogance melted away, replaced by a lovesick gleam in his eyes. He leaned forward eagerly, his voice almost trembling.

"Mr. Fu… have you ever seen a fairy? Someone with an otherworldly grace, a beauty so flawless it feels unreal? When she walked into the airport, it was like the whole world dimmed around her. Every step she took carried an elegance that didn't belong to this world. She didn't even need to speak—her presence alone was enough to make everyone hold their breath.

I swear, she wasn't human—she was a celestial being descended into our midst. And from the moment I saw her, I knew… she was destined to be mine."

Nathaniel's expression barely shifted, but the corner of his eyes darkened slightly. A trace of curiosity flickered beneath his usual calm. A woman who could make Fan Jun abandon everything without hesitation?

For the first time that evening, Nathaniel Fu leaned back and narrowed his eyes, as though considering whether such a "fairy" truly existed.
