Chapter 187 - Chapter 187: Celia in Danger

Rosalie's eyes brimmed with tears. She had brought Li Chong here intending to send Celia back to the countryside, but instead, she had ended up banished herself.

Now she felt like a stray dog, cast out by the Su family.

Swallowing her humiliation, she turned away in anger.

Old Madam Su fixed her gaze on Celia, her tone icy and detached. "Celia, since your true identity has been revealed, why don't you move back into the Su family estate?"

Celia's voice was calm but resolute. "No. I'd rather stay here. Uncle, Aunt—goodbye."

Without another glance, she walked away.

"Celia!" Jiang Meiling turned to the old matriarch with clear disapproval. "Mother, why are you always so cold toward her? Do you have any idea what she suffered as a child?"

Regarding Celia's childhood, both Su Mo and Jiang Meiling had chosen to shield her by never speaking of the notorious Li Chong incident.

Old Madam Su stared toward the direction Celia had gone and murmured cryptically, "You wouldn't understand."

Rosalie dragged her suitcase downstairs—only to spot a slender figure waiting under the soft glow of the foyer light.

"Celia, are you happy now?" Rosalie's voice trembled with fury. "You've finally managed to kick me out of the Su family!"

Celia's gaze was cool, her voice steady. "Two years ago, when you pushed my grandmother down the stairs, did you ever think this day would come?"

That old woman?

"Celia, I didn't bully your grandmother—she came to bully me! She was so arrogant, accusing me of hiding you and threatening to ruin the entire Su family. Who could put up with that?" Rosalie's tone dripped with resentment.

"She wouldn't let go, so yes, I pushed her down the stairs."

Listening to her grandmother's fierce reputation being recounted, Celia arched an eyebrow. Yes, her grandmother had always been the one who intimidated others—no one could intimidate her.

But the fact remained: Rosalie had pushed her, leaving her in a coma for two long years.

"An old woman from the countryside—what's so special about her?" Rosalie scoffed, still bristling at the memory.

Celia's lips curved in a faint, almost dangerous smile. "My grandmother wasn't from the countryside. You should be grateful it was me who intervened and not her. Otherwise…"

"Otherwise what?"

Otherwise, the Su family would no longer exist—buried right alongside Rosalie.

But Celia didn't voice it. Instead, she glanced at the suitcase in Rosalie's grip. "From now on, take care of yourself."

She turned and walked away.

Rosalie's nails dug into her palm. She hadn't lost—not yet. Because she still had one final card to play.

Back at the Yipinlan Villa, Celia received a WeChat message from Lin Jiaojiao.

My Cici is amazing!

Celia was about to reply when she noticed a box placed at her doorstep.

Who could have sent this?

She bent to pick it up and opened it—only to find a set of sultry lingerie inside, the exact same style Li Chong had once shown her.

Her heartbeat faltered.

At that moment, a pleasant ringtone chimed from her phone. Nathaniel Fu's name flashed across the screen.

She quickly answered, but before she could speak, a sharp blow struck the back of her neck.

"Ah—!" Celia gasped in pain as her phone clattered to the floor.

From the other end came Nathaniel's deep, magnetic voice, urgent with alarm.

"Celia! Hello? Celia!"
