Chapter 240: The Titan Giant Ape Arrives
Thanks to the Crystal Blood Dragon Ginseng replenishing a massive amount of vitality and the nurturing of Xuantian internal energy, Tang San regained consciousness. Meanwhile, Ning Rongrong and Oscar remained unconscious, their faces pale as paper.
"Brother!"
"Xiao Wu..." Tang San's gaze swept past the cheering Tianshui Academy team and then lingered on Gu Chen, Yu Tianheng, and Dai Mubai, who stood untouched, full of soul power. His eyes brimmed with questions. "We lost...?"
Xiao Wu's eyes brimmed with hatred. "Yes, Brother. Tianshui Academy used despicable and shameless tactics to wound you, Rongrong, and Little Ao. If we hadn't surrendered, all three of you would've bled to death."
Boom-boom-boom!
Colorful fireworks exploded in the sky.
"We won!"
"We won!"
Tianshui Academy burst into cheers. Qian Renxue beamed with joy and exchanged a glance with Shui Bing'er. To be honest, the finals were shockingly easy. They hadn't expected Spirit Hall's team to lose to the Heaven Dou Second Team. They had spent half a day strategizing for Spirit Hall. That entire afternoon of deep planning was now wasted. He was almost embarrassed to report back to his father, claiming he'd met expectations.
Behind the Pope's Hall…
Spirit Hall's team—Tianchen, Qianguliuyun, and Qingfeng—each held a boulder weighing over a thousand jin, performing deep squats with them as part of punishment.
"That sounds like celebratory fireworks. Is the tournament over?" Qianguliuyun paused his reps and turned to look toward the Pope's Hall.
Crack!
A bamboo whip lashed across their heads. "Bam-bam-bam!" All three cried out in pain.
"What are you looking at, you disgraceful punks? You couldn't even beat the Heaven Dou Second Team. With soul rings that good—you wasted them! And you still dare slack off?"
Before them stood a young man in golden armor and a red high-collared cape. Though he appeared about thirty, he was actually over eighty. Only someone of his standing—Seventh Consecrate, Demon-Subduing Douluo—could treat them this way.
"Seventh Grandpa." ×2
Tianchen and Qingfeng obediently resumed their squats.
Qianguliuyun protested, "But Second Grandpa, they cheated—"
Whip!
Another strike landed.
"You still dare argue? Don't you know all schemes collapse before absolute strength? You spoiled brats have raw power but no battle experience. You'll all train in the Maze Canyon for the next three years!"
"WHAT?!" ×3
Their eyes bulged. Maze Canyon was a death trap—thick miasma, visibility under five meters, and the soul beasts were insanely aggressive. It was a place where only ghosts survived. Less than one in a hundred made it out alive.
"No buts. I already cleared it with Second and Fourth Brother—Gold Crocodile and Azure Luan Douluo. You leave in a month."
Interestingly, Azure Luan Douluo had leapfrogged from Third Consecrate to Fourth after another elder—Lightfeather Douluo—consumed his own Immortal Herb and surged to level 98, claiming the third seat.
Back at the Pope's Hall...
The Heaven Dou Second Team members retreated to the rest area after a brief recovery, joining Yu Xiaogang, Zhu Zhuqing, and Dugu Yan. The arena now belonged solely to Tianshui Academy.
Every member wore proud expressions. They were champions—yes, champions. Although five of them had largely coasted through, contributing less than 10%, they still had a part to play.
The Pope and all Titled Douluo rose. With a calm expression, Qian Xunji announced, "The final winner of the All-Continent Advanced Soul Master Academy Elite Tournament is—Tianshui Academy. Congratulations, gifted young soul masters."
All eyes turned to the ornate tray carrying the two 100,000-year soul bones. Xiao Wu fixed her gaze on the glowing pink skull bone, restraining the hatred in her eyes to avoid giving Qian Xunji an excuse to seize her.
The red-robed bishop acting as referee declared loudly, "Will the representative of Tianshui Academy step forward to accept your championship reward!"
Qian Renxue took a deep breath and walked to Qian Xunji. "Father—Your Holiness."
Qian Xunji smiled faintly. "These two soul bones are yours. Distribute them as you see fit."
Qian Renxue nodded and accepted the tray. Surrounded by countless envious eyes, he returned to his team.
The five Tianshui girls tactfully declined. They knew they had contributed barely anything—maybe 10%. Shui Bing'er had done about 30%. The rest was all Qian Renxue.
"Bing'er, which one do you want?"
"I'll take the Death Spider Emperor's right arm bone. My Ice Phoenix has no offensive power—this will fill that gap."
Soul bones needed to match a soul master's attribute to be effective. Shui Bing'er was ice-type, Qian Renxue was life-type, and the Death Spider bone was darkness and death. None matched—but who could refuse a 100,000-year soul bone?
Qian Renxue chuckled dotingly and picked up the glowing pink Soft Bone Rabbit skull. The distribution was complete.
The Tianshui girls looked slightly disappointed. The tournament had lasted nearly five months. They had participated in every round, yet received no reward.
Qian Xunji noticed their expressions but said nothing. He had no intention of giving them cultivation resources—Qian Renxue had already given plenty. Standing beside him, basking in this glory, should be reward enough.
Suddenly, an overwhelming surge of soul power rippled across the horizon. Every Spirit Hall soul master turned toward Star Dou Forest. Qian Xunji, the first to react, smirked.
"The delivery has arrived."
