Chapter 84 - Chapter 84: Tang Yuehua Has Had Enough

Chapter 84: Tang Yuehua Has Had Enough

The Wolf Raiders were soon completely exterminated. Qian Renxue, exhausted, leaned against Ah Yin. Her soul power had been entirely depleted. Her body was stained with blood splatter from the Wolf Raiders, and she bore several bloody marks as well.

To complete Qian Xunji's assignment, Qian Renxue had resorted to even more ruthless techniques toward the end—"twin dragons playing with pearls," or in other words, eye-gouging.

Once a person crosses certain lines, their moral bottom line only gets lower. After doing one dirty thing, it's much easier to do something worse the next time.

"Weakly, she muttered, "Daddy… I didn't finish your task… I only killed ninety-five…"

Qian Xunji nodded calmly. "Xue'er, do you know why you failed to complete the task? It's because your mind was full of hesitation and overthinking—you wasted too much soul power."

"Battle is battle. Against beasts, you need only consider how to use the least effort to completely wipe them out. I saw your later fighting style—it was very good. But still, you didn't fulfill my task."

His tone turned stern. "So, your allowance is fully confiscated."

Qian Renxue pouted, her big eyes welling up with tears.

Ah Yin, hearing her daughter's sniffles, became anxious. "Husband, isn't that a bit too strict? Xue'er really gave it her all."

Qian Xunji shot her a glare. "You should talk. Don't think I didn't notice—you secretly replenished some of her soul power. It's exactly this spoiling that makes her so naive."

Ah Yin shrank back. She had done it subtly, but Qian Xunji still saw through it.

"But considering how you dealt with the beasts in the end, Daddy is pleased. So—you can still wear new clothes."

Qian Xunji gave her a warm smile. He understood well the art of managing people: a slap followed by a reward was the most effective way to guide someone. The same principle applied to parenting.

"Thank you, Daddy!"

Qian Renxue immediately brightened up. For a young girl, not being able to wear pretty clothes was worse than death.

"Elder Chrysanthemum, Elder Ghost—check the corpses of those green-furred Wolf Raiders. Their bloodlines are atavistic—besides not producing soul rings, they're almost like real soul beasts. If any dropped soul bones, split them between you."

Soul Emperor-level Wolf Raiders were roughly equal to 10,000–20,000-year soul beasts. For Qian Xunji, those bones weren't particularly valuable.

"As you command, Your Holiness!" x2

While searching, Ghost Douluo actually found a soul bone—a left arm bone—from one of the green-furred Wolf Raiders.

He wanted to give it to Chrysanthemum Douluo, who still had no soul bone, but Chrysanthemum insisted Ghost Douluo absorb it instead. Their martial souls didn't match, and a mismatched soul bone would be wasted.

They were already like one entity, so it didn't matter who absorbed it.

"Thanks, Chrysanthemum. Next time we find a soul bone, I'll fight tooth and nail to get you one—even if I have to beat the juniors or my elders."

Ghost Douluo sat down and began absorbing the soul bone.

Meanwhile, Qian Xunji looked at Qian Renxue, who had changed into a clean dress, and said, "Xue'er, go wake up the woman who pissed herself. Tell her to change her clothes—we don't need her stinking up the air."

Covering her nose, Qian Renxue went to the broken carriage. She found Tang Yuehua still unconscious, a bright yellow stain visible between her legs. Disgusted, she amplified her voice with soul power.

"Hey!"

Tang Yuehua suddenly opened her eyes, dazed. "What happened…?"

"Qian Renxue…"

Qian Renxue frowned in distaste. "Tang Yuehua, hurry up and change. You fainted from fear—fine. But you also wet yourself. Don't pollute the air."

Tang Yuehua looked down, saw the yellow stain, and caught a whiff. Her face turned beet red. As the memory of the green-furred Wolf Raider surfaced, her expression turned ghostly pale.

"Wait!" she called out, seeing Qian Renxue turn to leave.

"What?"

Qian Renxue snapped impatiently.

"Can you… not tell your parents about this…?"

"It was my dad who told me to come get you."

Qian Renxue replied casually and walked off without another word.

Tang Yuehua was stunned. If Qian Xunji knew about it, then everyone probably did.

A deep sense of shame consumed her. Once praised as the graceful Lady Yue of Moon Pavilion, she had now soiled herself—and a man had witnessed it. She felt like she could never show her face again. She wanted to cry.

Damn you, Qian Xunji… humiliating me again…!

After absorbing the soul bone, Ghost Douluo reached peak level 95. Whether he could break through further would depend on future opportunities—especially since he was constantly busy as a Palace Guardian Douluo.

After dealing with the Wolf Raiders, they rested overnight. The next morning, Qian Xunji set out toward the Clear Sky Sect.

Tang Yuehua was overjoyed—they were finally heading back. She vowed that once she returned, she would pour out all her grievances to her elder brother Tang Xiao. She would expose Qian Xunji's cruelty and manipulation so the Clear Sky Sect would be on full alert against Spirit Hall.

That night, under a sparse moon, the three tents stood quietly.

After playing her harp for the group, Tang Yuehua returned to her tent, looking forward to a good night's rest. They would reach the sect tomorrow.

She had just closed her eyes when strange sounds came from the neighboring tent—Ah Yin's tent. As time passed, the sounds grew louder… and more enticing.

After a few moments, Tang Yuehua realized exactly what Qian Xunji and Ah Yin were doing. She blushed deeply and cursed in her heart.

Beasts! Animals! She's pregnant and they're not even worried about hurting the baby! And their daughter is nearby!

Of course, Qian Xunji wasn't worried. He'd already used the Threefold Control Heart and soul power to seal off Qian Renxue's tent. As for Tang Yuehua's tent? He didn't bother.

"Ah~ Ah~"

The seductive sounds continued to invade her ears. Sleep was now impossible. She tossed and turned, legs unconsciously rubbing together.

Despite her deep feelings for Tang Hao, she was a 39-year-old single woman. Usually, her Noble Ring would suppress such desires, but her soul power had been depleted after playing the harp. She didn't dare leave her tent—it was pitch dark outside.

So she chose to endure. Just wait until they were done. Then sleep.

But after an entire hour, her mind was screaming, Two hours now?! Are they done or not?!

To hell with it.

Eventually, Tang Yuehua gave in.

The next morning, Qian Xunji and Ah Yin walked out of their tent looking refreshed. Sleep was unnecessary at their level. But Ah Yin's posture betrayed a different kind of exertion.

Tang Yuehua emerged too—but the dark circles under her eyes said it all. She glared at Qian Xunji's back with eyes full of resentment.
