Chapter 5 - The STBSKs

The qualified candidates assembled before the great academy gate at dawn. The gate was an enormous and gigantic iced structure with edges as wide as a horse and a carriage, it is held with branches as thick as a trunk at the hinges, at the centre of the gate is water having sea life and at the edge, liquid fire, the gate gives off steam as thick as clouds when opened. It takes twelve water soldiers, two grass soldiers and a fire soldier to open the gate using their harnessed element energies. The gate had a sigil of a six winged creature having a wolf head, four legs, two tails and a halo above It's head.

The qualified candidates, now the soon to be soldiers and knights (stbsk) assembled outside the academy in anticipation of what the inside looks like and when they can finally commence training. The gate opened and a godlike voice announced a welcome address as they walked in. All the stbsk could utter was 'wow' the academy looked way better than what they had been told by parents, masters and even history books. The academy was glorious, everything was alive in this place, the trees, the grasses, the flowers, the grounds, they saw different creatures they've never seen in Kauoha.

While they were taking in all the wonders around them, a woman riding on a Liomanu came and addressed them. She alighted from the creature and levitated to their middle.

"Welcome soldiers and knights"

The stbsk mumbled in confusion.

"Dearest, i'm not mistaken. You are soldiers and knights cause i see it already, all of you gathered here qualified from the day you were born, all the tests and screening processes are simple formalities to keep things in order. I am the goddess in charge of your progress, i have eyes watching over each of you even before you got here. I'll be with you every step of the transition and if you need my counsel or wisdom or someone to serve as intermediary between you and the gods, i'm here. Now that you're here i need you to forget about your life before the academy, whatever you were called or whatever rank you belonged to cause this is a fresh chapter and all i see is gloriously shining soldiers and knights, this is THE most important chapter of your lives. Leave whatever you left and release yourself from it, else it will be the block you'll stumble on and limit your progress in here. Looking forward to anoint you at the end of the trainings, quests and tournaments. See you when you need me" she mounted her Liomanu and rode into thin air. The stbsk were awe struck, someone fainted at this point.

A water soldier splashed some water on the person and resuscitated him.

"Brace yourselves for more of where that came from. You'll be thought how to harness and master the energy each element consists of, how life happens around us and how to keep the balance in whatever force you end up in. Each force is important to the existence of Kauoha, be it water, fire, grass, even slaves. The gods knew an order would be created outside the knight order and they permitted it. Each element you successfully master and harness would be of great advantage to you in the tournaments and quests. You're to take classes serious, mute every distraction and strive to unlock your peak version. ATTENTION SOLDIERS! Proceed." she ushered them into a large building.

Diah found her room quickly thanks to a key that flies and leads one to its designated door. She got into the room and 'wow' was the only word that came out of her mouth. The room was nothing like she'd seen before, the floors and walls were made of crystals which glowed and glistened, there's a walk in closet with various compartments for different outfits for different occasions and activities, the room had a king sized bed, a stand for weapons, a shelf filled witb books, a table and chair, a wall at the center that demarcated the room, she walked to the wall to see what's on the other side and she saw a duplicate of her room.

"Wow!" She said slowly.

"I know, that's all i've said since i got here" a voice answered from the closet.

"Who's there?" Diah asked alarmed.

"Your roommate" a lady walked out of the closet with a little winged creature on her shoulder. "Hi i'm Sharna and this is my assistant Kibi. Kibi say hi" the creature blurbed and Sharna giggled. "He likes you"

"I'm Diah" she managed to say in the midst of her perplexed mind.

"You look like a goddess are you from a knight lineage?" Inquired Sharna.

"I'm... I used to belong to the lowest rank, my father is a grass soldier, my mom..." She shrugged, "no memory of her"

"Aww. My parents are fire soldiers"

"So how come about the..."

"LeHe'e? I found him in the river when i went to fish, poor guy was entangled in sea weeds, i freed him but we couldn't find his family so he migrated to mine" she smiled. "Do you have any rescued pets?"

"A cat, but he wasn't rescued, he was a gift from my mom, so says my dad. His name is lily"

"Cool."

"I have to settle in, see you later.

"Yeah! Bye!"

She went to her side of the room and flung herself on the bed, she smiled satisfactorily to herself.
