After spending the most rewarding father-son day ever, Kendrick and Griffin returned to the hospital to check on Hiraya.
Brimming with excitement, Griffin spent the next hour animatedly recounting their fun activities to his delighted mother.
"Kendrick… thank you for giving Griffin a memorable day." Hiraya's voice was soft and filled with gratitude. "I know you're a very busy man, but... You sacrificed your entire day just to make him happy. Words are not enough to express my gratitude. So I promise to return the favour when I'm stronger."
Kendrick's heart swelled with pride and love as he replied softly, his subtle gaze locked on hers. "You don't have to. I should be thanking you for trusting me with our son.
