Chapter 2 - Spinny spinny spin sp- Wait, what?

In response to my mental command, a shimmering panel materializes in front of me, glowing faintly with a soft light. Appearing translucent, like a hologram hopefully only I can see. It had a few bold words, centering my vision, reading left from right: Log, Spin, and Exchange.

Suppressing my urge to instantly start spinning, 'Log', the screen changes... to nothing, just empty space. 'This must be where I can see what I've previously spun. In the top left corner I see the word "Back" with an arrow pointing... well left, 'What is this, an internet page?' I chuckle, while going back to the previous page and going to the Exchange section of the menu.

Analyzing the screen, I see that basically I can, well... exchange items that I have spun for these so-called "Echo Shards". In the top right corner of this sub-menu it showed me the different rarities of these Echo Shards, 'I suppose different items have different tiers after all...', from common to rarest this was the order: White, Green, Blue, Purple, Gold, Red, Black, and... what seemed to be a shifting rainbow color... 'prismatic I think it's called'.

'Well enough of that, let's check out the spin!' I shift to the Spin Menu, quickly taking everything in.

In the dead middle read, "10x-spin, 1x-spin, and Daily-spin. The top right corner had the image of Echo Shards, which was basically just a octahedron. The top middle had the words written in capital and bold "ORIGIN", and the top left had the usual "Back" button.

Curious about the "Origin", I check it out and a list of differing worlds, consisting of movies, anime, manga, games, and the sort popped up. 'Wow, this is amazing! Truly a Multiverse Gacha System... now that I think about it, what is the name of this system?'

Thinking that, a prompt suddenly flashes before me, asking a question: "Would you like to rename thesystem?"

'Wow, okay.' pondering quickly, I choose a name instantly, 'Gacha Infinity', seeing it enter the words I'd thought, I accept the name, and think about the next step before me- which world should I spin from? 'Well, I think it's only necessary that I should spin from the world that I am currently in...' I choose the world of One Piece and then use my Daily Spin.

In bold words a prompt pops up again, this one different: "Noting user's first spin, setting rarity parameters to extreme", before fading away and continuing to spin... many things flashing before my eyes, I caught glimpses of a few names... Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Daibutsu... Shusui, Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Phoenix... 'Holy crap, Sengoku and Marco's fruit popped up... Shusui, isn't that Zoru's sword?' my mind was spinning at these legendary items.

Watching the words cycle through... it took quite a while honestly, 'I hope it doesn't always take so long... maybe because it's a Daily Spin?' I think, before noticing that it was starting to slow down... cycling through some more items before finally landing on...

THE SOUL OF XEBEC, written in bold... colors dancing across its surface, a constant, liquid rainbow... prismatic... the highest rarity. 'What in the living hell?! Xebec, as in THE Rocks D. Xebec? What does having his soul mean??'

A prompt surfaces in my vision: "Noting User's first acquisition, sending to Soul-Anchor space. To enter the space, user must envision entering a door into a space such as the one you met my creator."

'Huh? Oh... I see, this must be why I didn't see an inventory option in the menu... let me check it out then... also, I wonder how I check what this item does, maybe the Log?'

Shifting to the log before I exit the menu and attempt entering my so-called 'Soul-Anchor space', I see that the newly acquired "Soul of Xebec" is there, with an "info" button beside it. 'Clicking' it curiously, I read the information that quickly surfaces on the screen... and boy, let's just say I hit the jack-pot!

[The Soul of Xebec - User's body and soul becomes an anomalous vessel capable of safely housing and utilizing multiple Devil Fruits without fatality. User's limit depends on his vessel's strength with the upper-limit being a total of seven.]

Hastily, I exit the menu and focus, imagining a door that led to a room similar to the space that I had met the old man who gave me the system... I image myself entering through the door and 'poof' here I am... a completely white space, devoid of anything except for... a floating spherical shape that shifted colors of the rainbow- The Soul of Xebec.

Hmm, this space is not too small but not too large... I'd say around the width of a shipping container in each direction.

Walking toward the Soul of Xebec, I put my hand on it and receive a prompt to absorb flashing in my vision. Accepting, I suddenly have a sensation of electricity run through me, shocking me greatly before an intense stabbing heat in my chest and brain.

I shriek due to the sudden pain, but it went just as quickly that it had come... with everything returning to normal... completely normal, nothing felt different.

'I believe my system wouldn't scam me... but I mean, well I don't have any devil fruits to begin with so of course I won't feel anything different... duh.

Taking another glimpse around the room, I imagine myself leaving before returning to where I originally was before entering my Soul-Anchor. 'Okay, I'm still in the same place... I assume time still passes while I'm in there though. Hm, I'll spin some more before leaving here, I've been in here quite a while, Jarvey may get suspicious soon...'

Opening the menu, I click on the 10x-spin... 'Let's see what I get...'

Next time on...
