My leg bobbed incessantly under the table, with my eyes downcasted to the floor, avoiding any eye contact with anyone in the doctor's office. Three days came so fast and although I was relieved to finally have an answer, the knot in my chest only seems to tighten as the clock ticked.
I have no idea what was taking the pack doctor so long…we've been sittted here for at least 30 minutes.
It had to be 30 minutes or did it just simply feel like it.
A large hand dropped on my left lap, pulling me out of my thoughts. I turned to Kaelith questioningly
" You're doing it again".
My eyebrows creased in confusion " Doing what?".
" Drowning in your thoughts". He called me out, his finger tucking a loose strand of my hair behind my ear " We've talked about this".
The little talk we had this morning before coming here flashed in my head and I winced at how right he was. Although we talked about the possibilities of what today result can be and I recalled our conversation.
