Chapter 109 - Can I ask you guys a question?

Hello everyone, I wish to ask something.

Do please answer, it can help me a lot for future writing.

What is it you enjoy the most about reading stories?

Do you actually enjoy if it makes sense, despite it making the characters' lives more difficult?

How I basically understand writing is that stories are made up of a couple aspects.

A couple of points that attract people to reading them:

Character interaction.

Fight/cool scenes.

Slice of Life.

Mystery.

(Do tell me if I missed any.)

From what I know, and have experienced, happiness without struggle feels hollow to the reader and makes stories boring and them click off.

Same thing with too much Slice of Life, too many fights and too much mystery.

I'm making sure to not be repetitive, and actually show the growth of my characters and their struggles- at least, to me I am doing that.

For me, making sense is honestly the most important aspect of a story to me- otherwise I won't enjoy it.

I, of course, already stated that making sense, doesn't mean I will write filth - I make sure, to keep in mind when I am writing to not create a scenario where filth makes sense, since I refuse writing it - but is making sense also the most important or one of the top important things in you guys' eyes or not?

This is not me trying to make a hidden complaint- I'm geniunely curious.

When writing, I keep in mind, despite Lucien's status- it is still just that STATUS (emphasis not yelling).

He, when not at full potential, is important to Creation, but doesn't hold the power that comes with that status yet- only the consequences with it, the whole being sought after, and if leaving the Multiverse, the Multiverse dying as it is.

Lucien is up against 100+ to billions of years old beings (archangels).

They are master strategists who have plans upon plans, and have experienced so much they can adapt real well, and understand things real easily, because of how much they know.

Lucien is what?

A 20-year-old pretty normal guy past life - 13-year-old this life, trained by the Winchesters for like 4 years, and even in those 4 years, these Winchesters are early timeline ones, who are good hunters, but nothing compared to the Legendary Hunters that made Hell quake in the original timeline.

Like... Wouldn't it be illogical if Lucien outsmarted them off the bat? Lucien is making up things as he goes, getting experience, and trying outsmart them with an insane disadvantage.

And yet, look at what he has achieved right now- despite so many losses.

-Defeated a Werewolf-Knight of Dracula. Defeated the Fates.

-Slayed a Dragon.

-Got the cure to werewolf venom,

-Destroyed 1000 year old curses,

-Got the Original Family to become his allies out of charisma and character alone.

-Endured being cursed and tortured by evil "gods"

-Outsmarted Isaac AND Dracula.

-Had Dracula hide and test the waters, because he had actually become afraid of a 13 year old (hell let's count his past life 33 year old person, when Dracula is near 2000 years old), someone less than 2% hisage.

All this while being a hunter for around 4 years, in a kid body.

Hell even less, since he barely has gone on hunts because of his family being protective of him.

Like... I feel like I'm having it make sense.

These are in my eyes, insane amount of wins.

Well... Sorry if this turned into a slight rant.

I just, well, yeah, do please answer my question if you have the time.

I hope to see you all later,

Bye!
