---------------

Clark shot into the Dark Dimension without a moment's hesitation, his speed even faster than when he was rescuing people in the world outside. In the blink of an eye, he was in front of the Flash and the others.

"Get away!" he shouted, not using his fists but instead unleashing a powerful blast of heat vision from his eyes. Kryptonian abilities are far more complex than they appear. Heat vision, for instance, can be a ray of extreme heat capable of melting almost anything, or it can be a force of impact powerful enough to knock objects away. In Superman's hands, it can even be focused to cause an explosion on contact.

While Clark didn't have Superman's level of control, he was still able to convert his heat vision into a concussive blast. The ray didn't melt Black Manta but instead sent him flying backward.

Even without Black Manta, the infected horde, including several infected heroes and villains, immediately rushed toward the Flash and her companions. They instinctively knew she was the only one with the power to escape, so all their attacks were focused on her. The three heroes, not known for their head-on combat skills, were powerless against the onslaught.

"Hurry!" Clark was there again, using his super breath to create a powerful gust of wind that blew all the surrounding infected away.

At that moment, he felt a hand on his arm and knew it was the Flash. With a pink flash, the four of them vanished and reappeared just in front of the portal—but still a small distance from the outside world.

"Oh no! I can't see clearly what's outside. The teleportation failed!"

Regardless of the principles of teleportation, a person must use their five senses to locate their destination. To teleport out of the Dark Dimension and back to their port, the Flash needed to see the outside world.

Otherwise, they could end up teleported into the ground or the deep sea, a fate that Clark might survive but the others certainly would not. Because the portal was on the verge of closing, the Flash couldn't see the outside clearly, and in her panic, the teleportation had gone wrong.

"I have to try again. I can do it," she said, bracing herself. The portal was shrinking fast. All she could see was a sliver of the vast sky outside. It was dangerous and she didn't know where they would end up, but she had to try.

"There's no time!" Clark exclaimed. He had no grand strategy; he simply felt this was what he had to do. He wrapped all three of them in his bio-force field and threw them toward the portal, which was now only wide enough for one person.

"Wait! You...!"

Before the Flash could finish her protest, they were hurtled through the portal, allowing her to see Lucian and the others waiting outside. Acting on pure instinct, she reactivated her ability, bringing the Pied Piper and Hawkman out of the Dark Dimension and onto the ground next to Lucian.

Seeing that Clark was not among them, Lucian was stunned. He was surprised to find that, despite everything, he actually cared about this boy who was destined to become the Superman he despised.

"Superman!" The surge of emotion overwhelmed his rational mind, and he screamed for help. In an instant, he thought of the only way to save Clark: call for Superman.

"Is that a bird? Is that a plane? No! That's Superman!" This phrase from Metropolis represented humanity's love and hope for Superman.

Superman, who had been clearing out survivors in the distance, heard Lucian's call. He didn't ignore his mortal enemy. Instead, he arrived at the portal in a flash, and in less than a second, he understood the entire situation.

"Lucian, everyone will condemn you for this!" he said, rushing toward the rapidly closing portal. Inside, Clark, who had just sent the others out, was flying toward the portal, too.

Lucian just curled his lips. "Why don't you be so kind, Superman? Haven't I been criticized enough by you already?"

The portal was now too small to pass through, but Clark wouldn't give up hope. He had learned from the heroes he had been with. Wonder Woman would hold up an entire prison to save lives.

Martian Manhunter was still searching for survivors in the wreckage. Superman had not rested for a second since the outbreak began. Countless heroes were willing to die for a single life. The scenes he had witnessed gave him the strength to push on.

At that moment, the portal between reality and the Dark Dimension was like a mirror. On either side, two identical yet different people flew toward each other with all their might, their figures seeming to overlap.

"No!" In the end, Clark missed. The portal closed just as he and Superman were about to reach each other. Clark was trapped in the Dark Dimension forever.

Just as the readers and all the heroes thought it was over, something impossible happened.

Superman, having missed his target, didn't stop. He accelerated, faster and faster—Mach 10, Mach 50, Mach 100, the speed of light, and then beyond the speed of light. Superman had never flown so fast before, not even when racing against the Flash.

Batman once said that even Superman himself doesn't know his limits. To avoid destroying the world, Superman constantly controls his power. This control creates a psychological barrier that makes him vulnerable to injury, Kryptonite, and the red sun, and susceptible to fatigue and death. But when necessary, Superman can always unleash greater strength to break through any obstacle and bring hope.

This was one of those moments. As he flew around the Earth, no one realized what was happening until they heard the sound of breaking glass. Space itself had shattered under the force of Superman's speed.

His fist reached through the broken space and grabbed Clark's outstretched hand.

Snap...

With a sharp crack, Clark was pulled out by Superman and fell to the ground in a heap. Superman, who had just shattered space, felt a tightness in his arm and saw blood. The act of breaking through the dimensions had pushed him to his absolute limit, almost completely disabling his arm. Even with his healing factor, it would take days to recover.

"Are you okay, Superman?" Everyone gathered around, their main concern being whether the injured hero had become infected.

Clark, who was stunned by the sight of space shattering, wanted to thank Superman. But when he tried to stand, the same phenomenon that happened when he traveled through time occurred again. His left arm, which had been supporting him on the ground, warped into a colorful, chaotic image like a glitching TV screen. The next moment, it returned to normal.

"Could it be..."
