Getting ready after a nice bath, I stepped out of the room. The sun was about to rise, and I was happy that, at least today, I wasn't sleeping like a sloth.
I first went to Kael's room to see my baby Raven. I sneakily entered the room, not intending to disturb their sleep. Raven was sleeping in bed, while Kael was sleeping on the couch, holding Kaya in his arms.
It seemed like Kael didn't get any sleep due to our little girl, but then why wasn't she with Rafe? It was Rafe's job to handle her and even put her to sleep, as that's what Kaya preferred.
Where was that idle bloodsucker after kissing me like he wanted to kill me and then running away? Didn't he return home? Is that the reason Kael is taking care of Kaya?
Roman was with me, Jason and Lucian were hurt, Rafe ran away. Does that mean Kael alone was doing everything? No wonder he was sleeping.
