It was a Sunday night, Yuji and Kazuma were laying on their beds, none of them were asleep at all, both boys were wide awake in their dark room that was as quiet as the night. Yuji asked Kazuma "Hey, Kazuma. What's the time?", Kazuma turned to his left and looked at the clock "Its 11:25PM. Why?", Yuji replied "Nothing, it's just that I can't sleep. And my body's still slightly aches from my grandpa's training from yesterday.". Kazuma scoffed "It must have been hard." Yuji replied "You have no idea at all.", Kazuma then asked Yuji "You're scared for the exam tommorow?", Yuji replied "Yep, I am scared. I've never seen or heard an exam where people would have to fight each other almost to the death, it's a first for me.", Kazuma just scoffed "Well, it's not that surprising when you realise what kind of world we live In.". Kazuma then asked Yuji "Hey, Yuji? Have you ever thought of fighting me before?", Yuji smirked "Countless times. Aside from the fight we had when we first met due to Ranpo asking us to spar, I've always wanted to fight you. Not as an enemy or with a drive to win, but as friends.", Kazuma just started laughing "Hahaah!", Yuji asked "What's the matter?", Kazuma's laugh subsided "Nothing, I just wanted to say I felt the same about you.". The two boys kept quiet for a moment, they wanted to enjoy the peace and silence the night had to offer before the competitive day tommorow, Kazuma broke the silence "Yuji, let's do our best tommorow, okay?", Yuji replied with a soft smile "Yeah.". Hours later, Kazuma was in a quiet dream land laying floating in a dark space, he started to hear a loud muffle that sounded like it was calling his name, Kazuma thought to himself "What the fuck?", it turned out that Yuji was yelling his name. "KAZUMAAAA GET UP!! WE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE AT THE ARENA BY 8:00AM! THIS IS 9:56AM!", Kazuma jolted up with his hair messed up "AH! WHAT THE FUCK!!!". It took two seconds for these boys to jump out of their hostels and run at their fastest speeds, "YOU FUCKING IDIOT! WHY DIDN'T YOU WAKE UP EARLIER?!" Kazuma yelled at Yuji as they were running and jumping on roof tops. Yuji replied "THAT'S MY LINE YOU PURPLED HAIR FUCKER!!!". Meanwhile at arena 1-B, Mio was kneeling on the railing above the battle ground, along side Regina and the rest of the girls. White, Kito, Baroka and Volt were also kneeling on the railings with a bored expression on their faces, Mio and Regina counted down silently "And in 3, 2, 1.", Kazuma and Yuji came blasting through the hall way of the enclosed arena and blasted into the hall the rest of their friends were. Mio muttered "Called it.", Regina also muttered in response "Nice!", they did a fist bump. Kazuma and Yuji got up while dusting their clothes "Damn it." Yuji muttered, Kazuma asked "Did we even make it?", Kito then called out to them "Kazuma, Yuji. Up here.". Kazuma and Yuji got up and walked up the stairs to their friends, "You're late.", Kito said to Kazuma. Kazuma replied "Yeah, my fault.", Yuji looked at him with slight annoyance "Its definitely your fault you idiot!", Kazuma looked at him with an annoyed smile "Awn, let's not start acting aggressively.", White seeing this small squabble then said to them "Oi, you guys should behave.", "Sorryyy", Kazuma and Yuji apologized. Regina called out to Yuji "Yujiii.", Yuji turned to the direction of the sound and saw her waving at him. Yuji waved back at her with a smile. Mio then walked up to Kazuma "So, you ready?", Kazuma replied with a mild smirk "You bet. You look like you're ready.", Mio also replied with a mild smirk "Offcourse i am.", Yuji thought to himself while looking at Mio and Kazuma "Looks like they're still close with one another. Their relationship is still as good as usual.", he smiled softly. Ralfold came in the arena, and everyone immediately became silent. Ralfold looked around for a moment, he took a look at the list on his hand "Looks like you all are here, good.", he said out. White took a look at the end of the side he and his friends were standing at, he saw Zeraph standing at the end. Zeraph locked eyes with him and smirked at him, White thought to himself "Him, he's the guy that I fought when all of us fought Monoma's group of friends. I guess he was posted up here too.". Ralfold explained to everyone in the arena "I assume you all know the details of this exam. It's to fight one another in a match, who ever wins their match ups gets to the next round.". He looked and pointed above "Above me is the screen that has been inputed with the names of the soliders fighting here. Whoever it picks at random are to fight one another till one of you can't fight anymore.". Volt muttered to Regina who was standing beside him "So In the end, this assassination exam is the equivalent to a gladiator match.", Regina replied "You have no idea.". Suddenly, White, Lydia and Racheal felt a strange vibe, it was like as if gravity was chocking them. Kazuma, Yuji, Mio, Regina and Volt along with the rest of the group sensed their wierd behaviour. Yuki asked with slight worry "What the...? Lydia, Racgeal. Are you okay?", Gwen also asked "Hey, don't just stand pail like that. What's wrong?". White said with anger and his teeth gritted "They're here!", Kito asked with slight shock "Who's here?", White replied in his pressured and angered state "The Katakuri's!". Kazuma, Yuji and Baroka were confused "The what?" Baroka asked, Racheal was annoyed "Those bastards applied for the exam too?", Ralfold then introduced "Now, i'll be introducing a clan that is allied with the city through the attack clan.", Zeraph clicked his tounge "Not those motherfuckers! Did they really come?", he muttered to himself. Ralfold then completed his sentence as two kids that seemed to be age mates with the rest of the group stood behind him "Welcome the Katakuri's strongest young assassins. Tendra Katakuri and Astera Katakuri.". White, Lydia and Racheal were all annoyed, there seemed to be a pressure trying to pin them down. Lydia muttered with annoyance and anger "The cousins to the attack clan, the most arrogant people who have the overwhelming skills to back up that fucked up arrogance. THE KARAKURI'S!", Yuji thought to himself "Katakuri huh? Ive heard of them. They were said to be part of the attack clan before separating about a thousand years back.". Tendra(13 years old, blue hair and holding a katana) glanced up "Yo, Astera. It seems that they are here as well.", Astera replied "Yeah, the three strongest teens of the noble lords.". Astera then looked forward and saw Zeraph standing at the corner, his hands were folded and he wore a frown while looking back at her "I can see that. He's here too. The kid who is one of the basic attack clan members and is known as the young solider of the attack clan with the most potential among the basic clan members. ZERAPH.". Suzuha Blaze then came in with a cheerful smile"Hi, Hi! Sorry to interrupt you kids.", Ralfold sighed with slight annoyance "What do you want Suzuha?", Suzuha replied "Awn, that's not how you greet a friend, Ralfold.", Volt was a bit stunned "Suzuha? What's she doing here?", he asked himself. Suzuha then explained "Hey, kids, sorry to interrupt. But I got word from Lord Fugaku. Apparently he found out that one of the arena's was empty. So....", she had a smirk on her face and raised her finger "He wants you kids to separate. Boys in one arena and girls in another.", everyone was slightly shocked from this information, Marallda sighed "Ahh, what a pain. Who would have thought something like this would have happened?", she said with a lazy attitude, Gwen replied "This sucks.", Gwen then glanced at Tendra and Astera "Katakuri's huh? For some reason, i actually feel i dont like them.", she thought to herself. Suzuha then explained "Alright you girls are to follow me now, including you. ". Tendra looked at Astera "She's talking to you.", Astera(Long blue hair, a blue and black skirt and a top that resembled that of a school uniform.) replied "Whatever.", and went off with Suzuha and the rest of the girls. Regina looked at Yuji as she and the girls left the arena "Yuji, I hope you'd be okay.". After the girls left, Ralfold snapped his finger, "Let the elimination round begin!", the screen above started to pick names at random. Everyone was tensed and ready for battle, Kazuma just smirked "Hm, the real thing's started now huh. Let's fucking go!".
