A few minutes had passed since Ralfold had entered the class room, he explained to the students "There are a lot of things that are about to go down, one of those things would be the next assassination exam.", everyone was a bit stunned "Assassination exam?", Mio thought to herself. Ralfold continued to explain "You all have done about two assassination exams. The first one was to fight your assigned sensei's, the second one was to fight some certain assassins that were in the area's you were assigned to go into. Those are the only two exams that you were to partake in, but things are starting to escalate with the incoming war.". Kito thought to himself "The war against the Knight kingdom, this is going to be the second war against the Knight country in the modern era. Most of the other wars where the one's that happened hundreds of years back. And according to the few history books I've read, THE KNIGHT KINGDOM DONT PLAY FAIR!". Ralfold explained to the students "I assume you all know where I'm going with this, but I'll explain anyway. What I'm trying to explain is that you all would start to take another assassination exam that would let us understand your strengths so that we can fight against the Knight country.". Kazuma then asked "Um, Ralfold sensei, what is this assassination exam going to be about?", Ralfold explained "This assassination exam is one where you all would have to fight amongst yourselves.... TO THE DEATH!", this statement from Ralfold got everyone shocked, tensed and slightly enraged. Yuji was irritated and had visible annoyance written on his face "Ha? Kill each other?", Volt was also slightly angered "Nah, that can't be right.", Kito had a serious look on his face "Do you really expect us to kill each other? Don't joke like that Ralfold sensei.", Kazuma didn't seem too bothered, but he kept quiet with a look of seriousness on his face. As for the girls, Mio seemed slightly tensed with a serious look on her face "I really hope its a joke", she thought to herself, Gwen then asked "Teacher Ralfold, you can't be serious. I understand fighting one another and making ourselves admit defeat, but killing ourselves is something that shouldn't make sense.". Ralfold smirked and started to laugh, this made everyone in the classroom a bit confused, Fred said with a wierd grin "This dude's crazy. Don't you think?", Roy replied with a nervous grin "Yeah, he is.". Ralfold's laugh started to calm down, he rubbed off the tear from his laugh "Oh, I'm sorry kids. I didn't mean to make you all so tensed up. I just wanted to see your reactions. Offcourse we're going to be fighting each other with all we have, but we won't kill each other. Although depending on the referee, killing among fighters isn't a crime.". Gwen asked "Why tho?", Regina explained to her "Its because that's how it was during the early days of the city of Kagahara. The concept of assassination exams were used as a form to test what civilians were capable off. These tests were created by Kagaru Takanoguro, he was the second lord of the city of Kagahara and was also known as the ice lord.", Mio then asked "So In other words, the concept of assassination exams were initially created to see how strong the people were.", Rachel added "I guess that makes sense.", Lydia added a dry remark "Its sounds more like a suicide attempt than a mere event to test strength of the people.". Rem had a nervous smile on her face "Yeah, that sounds just about right. Although, when humans discovered the concept of energy, they used to fight amongst themselves in a death match. It was rather fun to them than a test of strength, it was about almost a hundred years ago that Kagaru Takanoguro decided to modernise it.", Kito then explained "Yeah, Rem's right. Before it was modernised, these tournament like battles were the things early humans used to as a form of sports and fun during the old earth era. And well, they pretty much found death and danger amusing.". Kazuma muttered to himself "Sounds like it was an era of crazy bastards." Yuji replied while muttering "Yep.", Baroka also muttered "Sounds fun if you think of it. Well, except the death part.". Ralfold clapped his hands to get the kids attention "It looks like you kids are rather smart In history, so I don't need to explain that aspect, thank God.", everyone had nervous smiles on their faces "Lazy ass!", they thought to themselves. Ralfold then took a sigh "Well now that I've explain all that, you guys should be able to understand the rest. The assassination exams are going to be starting next week, everyone is assigned to different stadiums for battle. And just to clarify, boys and girls would fights separately in different stadiums.". This statement from Ralfold got everyone's attention "Huh?", the girls exclaimed. Ralfold then continued to explain "This assassination exam would be in two parts. The first part would be the elimination aspect, this aspect is where you all would fight each other to go to the second aspect of the exam. The second aspect is the one where everyone in the city would come to watch the match of the people who made past the first aspect. The matches would be recorded and streamed online for people of the city. And on no account is anyone from other countries allowed to watch or participate unless they are allied with the city.". Kazuma just sighed "Ahh, I see it now. We're going to be in an uncomfortable and unnecessary competition where everyone is trying to assert their dominance on one another, what a pain.", Yuji added with an uninterested look on his face "Yeah, it's going to be a disaster, one that would be caused by stupidity and unnecessary pride.", Volt also added with a dry remark "You have no idea.". Kito had an uninterested look on his face "So In other words, this tournament is an excuse for kids like us to start doing the most base and arrogant shit. Fuck!", White on the other hand had a dry look on his face but didn't say anything "Hm, I don't like where this is heading.", he thought to himself. White stood up "Well If this is all you wanted to explain sir, then I guess we all get the gist." Kito sighed "You've got a point there buddy.", Ralfold just cleared his throat and replied "Well, now that you all understand, I guess I can say that the meeting is dismissed. You all can go now. The exam starts next week Monday, and today is Wednesday, so you all have four days to train. Your stadiums would be pasted on the academy's notification board by tomorrow.". Kazuma got up and yawned "Well If that's the case, later.", the rest of the team alongside Fred and Roy got up and left the class room, Ralfold just smiled softly "Hm, these kids sure are smart, and they really are on their toes. Despite how relaxed they seem, they sure are strong and very sharp. I hope nothing bad happens to any of them.". As all of them were walking on the hallways Volt called to Rem's attention "Hey Rem, wanna hangout again today? Lets play the game we played last week.", Rem replied while she rushed off "No thanks.", this got Kazuma, Yuji, Kito, Baroka and even White shocked, their jaws dropped "Damn, ignored by your own sister.", Kito muttered to himself, Baroka used his elbow to hit Kito's hand. Rem rushed to Roy and hugged him from behind "Hey Roy.", Roy turned to her "Oh hey Rem, haven't seen you since last week. How've you been?", Rem replied as she and Roy walked off together "Oh, nothing. I've been busy training and going on a few missions, that's all.". Mio, Gwen and Lydia had their mouths opened with slight shock "Wow, that was dirty work.", Lydia said with indifference, Yuki just walked past them "Wow couldn't be me tho." Baroka clicked his tounge and said to Yuki "Hey now, that was rather rude.". Volt on the other hand felt a bit bad with how his own sister ignored him like that, to him, it was like as if she didn't care about him for a mere moment. Kazuma, White, Kito, Baroka and even Yuji saw this and felt rather bad and disturbed for Volt.
