CHAPTER 40
CHLOE'S POV
"You're awfully quiet, what's up?", Keith asked, when we stopped at the red light.
"I'm having cramps, that's all"
"Is there anything I can do to help?"
"I don't know", my eyes teared up.
"Why are you crying?", he wiped my tears with him thumb.
"I don't know. I guess it's just the mood swings that come with cramps", I sobbed.
"Sorry. You know I can take the pain away and it won't be back for nine months, right?"
I smacked his head.
"Why would you say that?"
Who comforts someone by indirectly telling them you wanna get them pregnant?
"I was just kidding", he chuckled.
"Don't joke like that next time"
"I'm sorry, I won't"
"I just wanna get home and have a nice nap"
"Do you want a cuddle buddy?"
"What'd I say about....?"
"Boundaries, I get it", he took the word right out of my mouth.
I really wish we could cuddle again...

I couldn't sleep.....
These cramps are killing me.....
I kept rolling on the bed, clutching to my stomach, groaning and crying.
My eyes are red and puffy....
I need help...
Usually, Jess gets me all I need for the period but this one is impromptu.
I'm not prepared!!
I can't even go downstairs, my legs hurt like hell....
The only person I can call right now is Keith....
He left after dropping me off, saying his dad wants to see him.
I don't know if he's back yet but it's worth a shot.
I picked up my phone and called him.
"Hello"
"Hey, what's up?"
"I'm having serious cramps and I was hoping if you could help me with a few things"
"Shit! I'm still at my dad's, but I'll see what I can do"
" If you're still there, you don't have to hurry back. Take your time, I'll help myself"
" Just give me a few minutes", and he hung up.
He isn't really gonna leave his dad now is he??!!
I closed my eyes and pressed on my stomach. I was once told that applying pressure on my stomach would ease the pain.
I grabbed my water bottle containing hot water and pressed it in my stomach.
Nothing is working!!!
The tears flowed freely from my eyes. I couldn't hold them back any longer.
I cried for a few minutes and then my room door flew open and Keith rushed in.
"Hey"
"Hi", I managed to say.
"I got you chocolate shake, chocolate cake, chocolate cookies. Everything I got is chocolate"
"Why?"
"I read somewhere that girls on their period usually crave chocolate, based on a survey"
" You actually read it because of me?"
" Yeah, I mean, I had to do something"
" Thank you"
" You are most welcome. Now, what do I have to do to make the pain go away?"
" First, you could help me refill this with hot water", I handed him the water bottle.
" Okay, I'll be right back", he handed me the bag of chocolate cookies and left.
I instantly dug in and I started craving more.
"Here you go", he came back and gave the water bottle to me.
"Thanks", I took it from him and placed it on my bare stomach. I was wearing a crop top and a pair of shorts.
"Is it better now?"
"Yeah", I took a sip from the chocolate shake.
"I feel sleepy and I want a cuddle buddy", I said with a pout.
"I thought you respected 'boundaries'?"
"I know but that's just what I need right now"
"Fine", he got on the bed and I scooted towards him.
"Thanks", I mumbled when I kept my head on his chest.
God, I've missed this...
"Are you asleep yet?"
"Are you expecting me to respond to that question?", I chuckled.
"I just wanted to know", he said as his cheeks turned red.
"Will you be here when I wake up?", I managed to speak as my eyes got heavy.
"Of course", he said and I allowed the sleep take over.
It wasn't up to a minute when I felt Keith's warm lips on mine. It was a quick kiss but I enjoyed it.
I didn't complain cos I was craving his kisses.

KEITH'S POV
"You wanted to see me", I said, clearly uninterested in whatever my dad has to say.
I just left Chloe's house and came to his house because he wanted to have 'an important discussion with me'.
His words, not mine....
"It's concerning the company....."
"Jesus Christ..."
"Don't interrupt me when I'm speaking young man. I want you to start working there as acting CEO"
"What?! How'd you expect me to do that, go to school and pursue my modelling career?"
" I never said anything about you being a model. And, running the company should be easy because you will go to school first. When school closes, you head over to the company and handle things until the work for the day is done"
" You have got to be shitting me. You call that easy? How am I supposed to live my life if I do only what you want? Sorry to say this but I can't and I won't"
" You dare defy me?!", he thundered.
" Oh, please. Quit with your temper tantrums"
" How dare you speak to me like that?!", he was about charging at me when my phone rang.
Chloe
I smiled. She always brightens my mood
" I'll have to take this call, you can yell at me later", I excused myself and answered the call.
"Hello", she said from the other end and I can tell she isn't okay.
"Hey, what's up?"
"I'm having serious cramps and I was hoping if you could help me with a few things"
"Shit! I'm still at my dad's, but I'll see what I can do"
" If you're still there, you don't have to hurry back. Take your time, I'll help myself"
" Just give me a few minutes", and I hung up.
" So, dad, I'm gonna have to go"
" We aren't done talking!"
" For me, we are. And tell mom I said hi", I rushed out of the house and got into my car.
I turned on the engine and started driving. I brought out my phone and searched something online.
I know it's wrong to be on the phone while driving but you can't blame me for wanting to know what to get a girl with menstrual cramps.
" Aha", I exclaimed when I saw a site that suggested chocolate.
Seriously though.....
Chocolate??!!!
I was thinking I was gonna see something like ginger tea or green tea.....
This stuff is really weird....
I pulled over at a bakery, and bought chocolate cookies, chocolate shake, even chocolate cake.
Don't be surprised.....
The site suggested chocolate and I'm just carrying out what I saw.
I hurriedly drove to her house and went in without knocking. She seemed a little bit shocked to see me and I didn't miss the tear that slipped out of her eye.
"Hey"
"Hi", she managed to say.
"I got you chocolate shake, chocolate cake, chocolate cookies. Everything I got is chocolate"
"Why?", her puffy face was looking puzzled.
"I read somewhere that girls on their period usually crave chocolate, based on a survey"
" You actually read it because of me?"
" Yeah, I mean, I had to do something", I scratched the nape of my neck.
My cheeks heated up...
" Thank you"
" You are most welcome. Now, what do I have to do to make the pain go away?"
" First, you could help me refill this with hot water", she handed me a weird looking water bottle.
" Okay, I'll be right back", I gave her a bag of chocolate cookies and left to the kitchen to refill the bottle.
"Here you go", I gave the water bottle to her.
"Thanks"
"Is it better now?"
"Yeah", she took a sip from the chocolate shake. She's looking kinda pale.
Is it normal??!!
"I feel sleepy and I want a cuddle buddy", she said with a pout.
"I thought you respected 'boundaries'?"
Hold on a sec, she was the one preaching about boundaries and now she wants a cuddle?
I'm quite surprised....
I guess periods make people act differently.
"I know but that's just what I need right now"
"Fine", I got on the bed and she scooted towards me. I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her closer.
"Thanks", she mumbled when she kept her head on my chest.
I've really missed this, though....
"Are you asleep yet?", I couldn't help but ask.
"Are you expecting me to respond to that question?",she chuckled.
"I just wanted to know", I said as my cheeks burned up.
"Will you be here when I wake up?", she asked, her eyes closing slowly.
"Of course", I said and I heard her soft breathing.
She's asleep and I did what I've been wanting to do since I walked in.
I placed my lips on hers to give her a quick kiss.
I couldn't stop myself....
I'm so fucking whipped.....
