Dr. Wu led Newt through the cryogenics wing, stopping beside each chamber with quiet reverence. The room was lined with massive containment cylinders, each one pulsing faintly with energy and life. Inside, silhouettes floated—monsters in the making.
"These Titans have been growing in these chambers for three years," Dr. Wu explained. "If all goes according to plan, they'll reach full maturity in less than a week—possibly sooner."
Newt nodded while scrolling through data on his tablet, taking note of the specs. "What about their shapes? We'll need accurate measurements to construct armor that fits properly."
Dr. Wu hesitated, then sighed. "We initially assumed they'd each develop three heads due to the Ghidorah DNA... but they've turned out quite different."
"How so?" Newt asked, his gaze narrowing with curiosity.
"For starters, they have four limbs—excluding the wings," Wu replied.
"You mean… like dragons?" Newt asked, lifting an eyebrow.
"Yes, that's a fair comparison," Wu said. "But there's more. Their blood is highly corrosive. You'll need to design armor that's resistant to acid, while still being lightweight enough to maintain flight capability."
Newt smirked, intrigued. "Mind if I get a closer look? It might help refine the designs."
"I'm sorry, I don't have the clearance to permit that," Wu said politely.
"That's fine. Totally understandable," Newt replied with a casual smile.
Dr. Wu glanced at him. "Anything else you'd like to know?"
"Actually, yes," Newt said, eyes flicking toward one of the larger pods. "Black Wyvern and Ghidorah had no corrosive properties in their physiology. So how did your Titans develop acidic blood?"
"We believe it's a mutation that occurred during the gene-splicing process," Wu answered. Just then, a lab tech approached and whispered something into his ear. Wu nodded, then turned back to Newt. "I'm needed elsewhere. I believe you've gathered what you need. I'll also have someone send you structural imaging, in case the verbal descriptions weren't sufficient."
"Thank you, I think I have everything I need," Newt said with a nod.
"Great. I'll have someone escort—"
"Oh, don't worry," Newt interrupted cheerfully. "I've memorized the way out."
Dr. Wu gave a small nod and walked away, disappearing into the hallway that led to the monitoring room.
Newt waited until the doctor was out of sight, then turned and slowly walked toward one of the sealed cryogenic pods—its entire chamber covered in a heavy metallic casing. He pressed a palm to the cold surface and exhaled.
A slow smile crept across his face.
"They may try to hide it… but I can feel it," he whispered. "You carry her DNA. You are one of us. And when the time comes, you'll help end this world… all of you."
He glanced around at the other pods, each housing a dormant nightmare.
Suddenly, blood began to trickle from his nose. His eyes turned red—almost bleeding themselves—before quickly fading back to normal.
Three years ago, after the Kaiju defeated by Alex in Japan were recovered and dissected, Newt had been one of the first to experiment with the newly-invented Drift technology. Driven by curiosity—and obsession—he drifted with the brain of a slain Kaiju.
That was the moment everything changed.
The infection began.
And the Precursor influence took root.
Now, Newt wasn't just a scientist. He was their prophet.
Tasman Sea
Alarms blared across the ship, interrupting the conversation between Dr. Nathan Lind and Dr. Ilene Andrews. The red emergency lights painted the corridors in pulsing crimson as both scientists rushed to the main deck. On the way, they encountered Jia, who was frantically signing with wide, panicked eyes.
Ilene turned to Nathan. "She says Godzilla and Black Wyvern are headed this way."
Outside, Kong thrashed against the reinforced chains restraining him, his muscles bulging with strain. The ship trembled under the force of his growing rage. He could feel them—two titanic forces closing in fast.
"Do we change course?" Ilene asked, her voice tight.
"No," Admiral Wilcox answered grimly. "They're not giving us that option."
"Looks like they're coming for us," Nathan said, his heart pounding.
Ilene stared at the radar screen and shook her head. "No. They're not coming for us…"
"Then dump him! Dump the monkey!" Mia Walter snapped from behind, panic bleeding into her voice.
Ilene shot her a venomous glare. "How about we dump you instead?"
"We need to release him," she said firmly, turning to Nathan.
"We lose Kong, we lose the mission," he argued, even though he already knew she was right.
"He's a sitting duck out there!" Ilene shot back. "He needs to defend himself—and us. Or would you rather go out there and fight Godzilla and Black Wyvern yourself?"
Outside, chaos erupted.
Missiles and artillery fire lit up the sky and sea, targeting two directions at once: something in the water and something in the air. The ship carrying Kong groaned under the strain.
With an ear-splitting roar, Godzilla breached the ocean surface and slammed into the vessel, capsizing it. Water flooded the chambers as the crew was thrown into disarray. Nathan, barely keeping afloat inside the half-submerged ship, scrambled through flooded corridors. He found the emergency lever and yanked it down with all his strength.
KLANG!
The locks snapped free. A massive hand grabbed the edge of the hull as Kong hauled himself up, flipping the ship upright in one thunderous motion. He stood tall atop the deck, dripping with seawater, chest heaving.
Then the sea stilled.
Godzilla circled back, charging again—
—but stopped.
Something descended from above. Dark as obsidian.
Black Wyvern hovered at the edge of the fray, his wings folding partially, his eyes glowing crimson in twin pairs. He hovered effortlessly just above the water, the force of his gravity field rippling the surface beneath him like invisible pressure.
Godzilla halted mid-stride, raising his head out of the water to stare at Alex.
Kong turned slowly, his chains still dangling from his wrists, as he too locked eyes with the aerial behemoth.
Three titans.
Three apexes.
Caught in a moment of silence.
A three-way standoff in the middle of the Tasman Sea.
'Well, what do we have here…' Alex thought as he hovered just above the ocean's surface, glaring down at the two legends of this world—Godzilla and Kong.
For a moment, he considered holding back. Then Godzilla let out a thunderous roar and surged forward beneath the water, cutting a trail of foam and fury toward him.
'What's this? Defiance?' Alex narrowed his eyes. Let me fix that.
Crimson light surged across his body as he charged his crimson Resonance , the water beneath his feet boiling from sheer energy output. With a sharp roar, Alex released a focused red beam.
The beam struck Godzilla square in the chest underwater.
BOOM.
Water erupted upward as steam exploded from the impact zone, the force driving Godzilla deeper into the depths. But Alex had no time to celebrate.
He turned—only to meet the sole of Kong's foot.
Bang!
The kick slammed into his snout, snapping his head downward and driving his face into the ocean. His vision spun, stars dancing across his mind's eye. Blinking, he regained focus just in time to see Kong attempting to swim away.
With a snarl, Alex lunged, wrapping his serpentine body around the great ape's legs, dragging him down into the black.
That's when Godzilla came charging back, blood in his eyes. He lunged and sank his jaws deep into Alex's tail.
Now all three Titans thrashed beneath the surface, locked in a spiraling death struggle, sinking lower and lower.

On the Ship
"We need to help Kong before they drown him!" Dr. Ilene cried.
"Let's use depth charges!" she insisted.
Admiral Wilcox didn't hesitate. He flipped a switch and barked, "FIRE!"
From the deck, depth charges dropped into the sea one after another, vanishing into the dark.
Alex had begun building a dangerous charge of bioelectricity, planning to electrocute both Godzilla and Kong. The glow around his body intensified, the water crackling and humming with building energy.
Then—something floated past his eye. A tiny metal sphere.
BOOM.
BOOM. BOOM. BOOM.
Shockwaves erupted all around him. Explosions distorted the ocean with violent tremors. Interrupting him in the process.
Then, a massive hand burst from the water.
Kong!
He emerged first, gasping, coughing seawater as he clung to the ship. Then he flopped onto his back, exhausted, body steaming and battered.
From below, Godzilla exploded upward, carried by a thick crimson beam erupting from Alex's core. The titan was flung into the air, limbs limp, before the beam vanished and Godzilla slammed back into the ocean, sinking slowly,Steam hissing off his scaly hide.
On the Bridge
"Cut the engines and shut everything electronic down!" Dr. Nathan yelled.
"We do that and we're dead in the water," Wilcox shot back.
"No—we're playing dead. Do it!"
After a tense moment, Wilcox relented. "Shut it all down!" he ordered over the intercom.
The engines powered down. Lights dimmed. The ship went silent.
Minutes passed.
The sea was eerily still.
Then it exploded again.
Alex rose from the depths like a shadow from the abyss, water trailing from his massive wings. His spines hissed with latent energy as he loomed near the disabled ship.
Kong, still lying on the deck, tried to rise.
Alex's wing snapped out and pinned him to the deck like an insect. The crew aboard the ship watched, frozen, breaths held.
Alex loomed over Kong, eyes glowing—twin pairs of crimson orbs locked onto the ape's.
'Look at you now,' Alex thought darkly. The mighty ape... flattened. I could squash you like a bug.
But no.
Someone still needs to keep the apes in check when Scar King finally falls...
