Chapter 197 - Chapter 197: The Helpful Su Yu

After Dinner

Su Yu walked Miura Yumiko and Ebina Hina to the station.

On his way back home, his phone rang.

Taking it out, he saw it was a call from Hanada Yui and picked up.

"Did you find the maid I was looking for?"

"I did. She has a driver's license, a daughter, can drive, and is experienced in childcare," Hanada Yui replied.

"How much is her monthly salary?"

"Three hundred thousand yen."

"That works. Tomorrow, buy a car for her—nothing too expensive, just something she can drive. At noon, have Tamura Nanako take her to the school." Su Yu sounded satisfied.

"Understood," Hanada Yui responded.

Returning to Sakurasou

Su Yu stopped in front of Hiratsuka Shizuka's room and knocked.

Moments later, the door opened, and Hiratsuka Shizuka looked at him with a puzzled expression.

"Shizuka-sensei, you're going to be quite busy soon, aren't you? I know you plan to tutor the students in the gardening and culinary clubs for free," Su Yu stated directly.

"What are you getting at?" Hiratsuka frowned.

"I hired a maid who can drive—"

"I get it. I'll take her to school in the morning, and she can pick her up in the afternoon," Hiratsuka interrupted, glancing toward the Kawasaki household.

"Thank you for understanding. If you don't mind, may I come in for some tea?" Su Yu asked.

"Go to bed early," Hiratsuka replied bluntly and shut the door.

Su Yu wasn't surprised at all.

Next, he walked over to Kawasaki's house and knocked.

Kawasaki Saki opened the door.

Seeing Su Yu at her doorstep, her face turned slightly red.

"I hired a maid. Now you can pick up your sister yourself after school," Su Yu said gently.

"I…"

"Don't say it's a bother to me—I don't mind. Besides, with our relationship, there's no need for formalities," Su Yu said, taking her small hand.

"…Thank you," Kawasaki Saki hesitated, then accepted his kindness.

"Is your sister in the living room?" Su Yu leaned in slightly.

"Keika is reading in her room," Kawasaki Saki replied softly.

Hearing that, Su Yu kissed her lightly on the forehead before releasing her hand.

"Good night."

"Good night."

Kawasaki Saki, her face flushed, watched as Su Yu went upstairs.

Back at Home

As soon as Su Yu entered, he spotted Yuigahama Yui peeking at him from around the corner.

"What's wrong? Why are you hiding?"

He asked as he stepped inside, changing his shoes.

"Su Yu-kun…" Yui's shy voice called out.

After switching to indoor slippers, Su Yu looked up—

And was momentarily stunned.

Yuigahama Yui was wearing the swimsuit he had picked for her when they went shopping together.

"I… I…" Yui stammered, too embarrassed to speak.

Su Yu, however, understood what she meant.

Without another word, he walked past her.

Yui, her head lowered, followed closely behind.

Entering the bathroom, Su Yu glanced at the warm bathwater before turning to look at Yui again.

Her face was bright red, and she kept her head down—looking absolutely adorable.

"Who taught you this?" Su Yu asked.

"Hina…" Yui admitted honestly.

"Oh? Next time we go to the beach, I'll have to check out her swimsuit," Su Yu teased as he stepped closer.

"Su Yu-kun, you're such a bad guy," Yui murmured.

"Click."

Su Yu shut the bathroom door.

The Next Morning

Su Yu didn't go for his usual morning run.

He realized jogging no longer benefited him—his physical abilities had surpassed even Hiratsuka Shizuka's.

Unless he ran ten kilometers daily, it wouldn't be effective.

But instead of doing that, he figured he'd rather go to the tennis courts—where he could both train and teach Totsuka Saika.

So, after waking up, he started drawing Yuru Camp.

Once he had drawn enough, he woke up Yuigahama Yui and brought her clothes.

Still sleepy, Yui yawned and didn't seem to mind Su Yu being nearby.

Watching her take her time dressing, Su Yu found it inefficient—

So he decided to help.

His "assistance" immediately snapped Yui awake.

"Su Yu-kun, I-I can do it myself—"

"I'm just helping. I like being helpful."

Su Yu's gaze remained fixed on her.

Blushing furiously, Yui couldn't refuse and simply let Su Yu assist her.

With his help, it still took twenty minutes for her to get fully dressed.

After washing up, the two grabbed their school bags and headed downstairs.

At School

After breakfast, they arrived at school.

The Yukinoshita family's construction company had started work on the cafeteria.

It would take about a month to complete.

Since it was located far from the main building, construction noise wouldn't disrupt classes.

The school had issued an official notice:

The cafeteria was not being built for profit, but for the well-being of the students.

Word had also spread that Future Manga Publishing was the main investor—though few knew that Su Yu was the company's owner.

Future Manga's website and digital manga app gained some traction.

Advertisements were placed on hallway vending machines and convenience store walls.

While this alone wouldn't significantly increase user numbers, it was still an effective promotion strategy.

Students would talk about Future Manga Publishing, spreading awareness to other schools.

This would make future investments much easier—some schools might even reach out to them proactively.

If Future Manga Publishing reached a critical level of influence, it could attract young talent for animation and voice acting.

Tours of Future Manga Publishing and Flash Animation would happen in the near future.

Lunch Break

As Su Yu predicted—

Nearly every student was discussing Future Manga Publishing.

Those who downloaded the manga app were surprised to find that registering gave them free points to read manga.

As a result, registrations surged.

In addition, Future Manga Publishing received contact from nine different schools that morning alone.

Not every school needed a cafeteria—there were various ways to collaborate.

Hanada Yui accepted all the inquiries.

She knew these investments wouldn't yield immediate returns.

But the long-term benefits were enormous.

Beyond securing talent, it was also great for the company's reputation.

The news that Future Manga Publishing was investing in schools had already become a hot topic.

When Hanada Yui was interviewed by reporters, she made a clear statement:

"Future Manga Publishing will continue investing in schools and education, helping more students."

When asked whose idea this was—

Hanada Yui looked into the camera and said, "It was the boss's decision."

The reporter then pointed out that Future Manga Publishing was still in its early stages. Such large-scale investments in schools weren't ideal for the company's financial health.

Hanada Yui's response was simple:

"Doing good deeds means being prepared to take losses. Before making these investments, Future Manga Publishing had already accepted the possibility of losing billions of yen annually."
