Inside the Recording Booth
Hikigaya Komachi sat on the sofa, watching curiously.
On the table in front of her, there were snacks, fruits, and various treats.
Outside the Booth
Su Yu was assigning tasks to Lin Yueyin.
Sata Kana held a file containing lists of anime and manga projects that could be used for auditions.
Since new voice actresses lacked experience, it would be easier for them to start by imitating veteran seiyuu.
For lesser-known voice actresses, the issue was usually poor performance in auditions, leading to them losing roles to more established talents.
By allowing them to dub scenes from unadapted manga, they would have a chance to impress producers.
If their performance stood out, Flash Animation would record their names, and once those works were adapted into anime, they would have priority.
As for original anime, Sata Kana would ensure that Hoshiyuu voice actresses got audition opportunities.
Even though newcomers might not land major roles easily, Sata Kana would push for them.
Since this was Su Yu's decision, both Shinnohara Jin (Flash Animation's director) and Tamura Wakana (Future Manga Publishing's editor-in-chief) would support him.
Meanwhile, Future Animation, Su Yu's new animation studio, was still in the planning phase.
When Su Yu told Lin Yueyin about the types of original anime they'd produce, she was thrilled.
If all the anime were like that, it would be a huge opportunity for Hoshiyuu Talent Agency.
When Lin Yueyin mentioned recruiting more top-tier seiyuu, Su Yu gave her only one condition:
"Since Hoshiyuu Talent Agency is unique this way, let's keep it that way."
Lin Yueyin's eyes flashed with concern.
But before she could speak, Su Yu added:
"I already have a girlfriend. I'm not interested in the agency's voice actresses.
I only care about their abilities—not their looks."
Lin Yueyin flinched at his words and lowered her head.
"M-My apologies, Young Master Su Yu…"
Su Yu didn't even look at her. Instead, he turned his gaze toward Sata Kana.
Sata Kana also looked down, feeling guilty.
She had arranged for Lin Yueyin to become president partly because she was young and beautiful.
She had thought Su Yu might be interested—but now she realized she had completely miscalculated.
"Focus on your work. Don't overthink things."
Su Yu's voice was calm but firm.
"Yes, sir."
Lin Yueyin breathed a sigh of relief.
Less than thirty minutes later, the three top voice actresses entered the recording booth.
Su Yu stood up and walked in after them.
Outside the booth, Lin Yueyin couldn't help but whisper:
"Sata-senpai… is Young Master Su Yu really just a high school student? He seems… amazing."
"Even Yukinoshita-sama respects him. What do you think?"
Sata Kana glanced at her.
"I… I even misunderstood him just now…" Lin Yueyin muttered awkwardly.
"Young Master Su Yu's girlfriend is incredibly beautiful. Even that Shimizu girl can't compare."
Sata Kana watched Su Yu enter the recording booth.
Lin Yueyin finally relaxed and smiled.
"Then I don't have to worry anymore."
"Focus on your work. Hoshiyuu is backed by major resources—we'll become a top-tier voice acting agency."
Lin Yueyin nodded.
She believed it too.
Recording Scene 1: The Tsundere Childhood Friend
Akizuki Rina was up first.
Her character? A tsundere childhood friend who harbored hidden feelings for the male protagonist (Su Yu).
The dialogue? Completely improvised.
Su Yu stood at a separate microphone, holding nothing in his hands.
The scene took place in a hallway, meaning they had to imagine everything themselves.
"Rina! I finally found you. Where were you just now?"
Su Yu's voice was gentle and kind, a perfect male lead voice.
"Do I need to tell you where I go?"
Akizuki Rina's tone was sharp and haughty, perfectly embodying a tsundere attitude.
"Of course not. I just… wanted to have lunch with you. We used to eat together all the time…"
Su Yu's voice was soft and nostalgic, as if recalling fond childhood memories.
"We're high schoolers now. Eating lunch together? That's childish.
You just don't have any friends to eat with, so you came to find me, right? How pathetic."
Her words were harsh, but they matched her character perfectly.
"I…"
"Hmph. My aunt asked me to look after you, but that doesn't mean you should cling to me."
"I'm sorry. I just… wanted to eat lunch with you."
"Well, I don't! Just looking at you makes me angry!"
"Did I… do something wrong?"
"Like you don't know!"
"I'm sorry, Rina. I—"
"Move aside. You're in my way."
After saying this, Rina hesitated for a moment.
She clenched her small fists, then lowered her voice and muttered:
"You promised to marry me when we were kids… even kissed me… and now you don't even remember? How awful."
With that, the scene ended.
Sata Kana and Lin Yueyin were stunned.
The dialogue was all improvised, but Akizuki Rina's tsundere performance was flawless.
Meanwhile, Su Yu's voice-acting skills were…
"Young Master Su Yu is…"
"Incredible."
"He could debut as a voice actor right now!"
Inside the Booth
"Not bad. Very strong tsundere vibes." Su Yu praised.
"Thank you, Young Master Su Yu!"
Rina smiled brightly.
"But you were even more amazing. I seriously thought you were a professional. Your gentle protagonist voice is just as good as the top voice actors in the industry!"
Su Yu shrugged.
"I used to write novels and practiced voicing my own characters. I would act out different scenes by myself."
Rina froze.
She wanted to say:
"Maybe you should see a doctor?"
But she didn't dare.
Recording Scene 2: The Kouhai Who Likes Senpai
"It's my turn, Rina."
Sakura Yuki stepped forward.
"Good luck!" Rina cheered.
Yuki's character? A cute kouhai (junior) with adorable energy.
"Young Master Su Yu, I'll be in your care!"
Yuki bowed politely.
Su Yu nodded.
Yuki took a deep breath—then began.
"Su Yu-senpai! I saw everything!
Akizuki-senpai was too harsh! Let me eat lunch with you instead!"
"Thank you, but I'd rather eat alone. You should eat with your friends—"
"Senpai… do you dislike me?"
"No, it's just—"
"Just what? Am I not cute enough?"
"You're very cute. It's my fault."
"Then it's settled! I've got you now, Senpai! Let's go!"
"People might misunderstand."
"I don't mind~! Because… I've always liked Senpai."
