Chapter 149 - Chapter 149: Su Yu-nii Is a Good Person

The video call didn't last long.

After hanging up, Su Yu returned to his room and opened his email.

Inside his inbox, he saw a message from Sata Kana—the details of the voice actor agency he had just acquired.

The agency's full name was Hoshiyuu Talent Agency.

It only had three popular voice actresses, along with thirty lesser-known or newcomer voice actors.

Additionally, there was an affiliated voice acting school with eighty students, but not many of them were likely to make it in the industry.

Hoshiyuu's most unique characteristic?

There wasn't a single male voice actor—the entire roster consisted of female voice actresses.

The three popular voice actresses were all:

Visually appealingExperienced in numerous rolesHighly skilled in voice acting

Two of them had distinctive voice styles, while the third was a versatile talent, capable of adapting to any character.

Sata Kana had even highlighted in her report:

As long as these three remain, Hoshiyuu will have no major issues.

After reviewing the report, Su Yu found that Hoshiyuu fit perfectly into his plans.

After all, the anime projects he had lined up featured many stories centered around female characters.

At the very least, the agency would always have voice acting work.

However…

Su Yu couldn't help but wonder—if they kept dubbing these types of series, would some of them actually develop… strange thoughts?

After pondering for a moment, he shook his head.

That wasn't his problem to worry about.

Just as he was about to close his laptop, a new email arrived.

It was from Satou Yumiko, containing:

A list of anime productions from the past two yearsA list of manga that could potentially be adapted

She had already been in contact with Sata Kana and was aware of the Hoshiyuu acquisition.

However, she had not disclosed the details of Su Yu's plans to Sata Kana.

Su Yu glanced over the lists, took mental notes, and then shut off his computer.

At that moment, his phone rang.

He glanced at the screen—Komachi.

Answering the call, he heard her cheerful voice:

"Good evening, Su Yu-nii!"

"Good evening, Komachi," Su Yu replied while gazing out the window.

"I talked with my parents and learned more about voice acting. I want to give it a try."

Komachi paused briefly before making her decision known.

Su Yu wasn't surprised in the slightest.

"The voice acting school doesn't require tuition. Once you become a professional, just treat me to a meal," he said casually.

"Deal! I'll even invite you to dinner at my house!" Komachi giggled.

"Send me your home address. I'll pick you up tomorrow morning."

"Okay! I'll send it right after this call!"

"Get some rest. Also, tell your Onii-chan I said good night—and that if he wants to come along, he'll have to take the train."

"Onii-chan isn't coming tomorrow. He says he trusts that you'll take good care of me."

"Sounds like he has a date with Totsuka."

"Su Yu-nii, you don't think… he actually…"

"Very possible. If I get evidence, I'll let you know immediately."

Saturday

Su Yu woke up early and completed his morning jog.

Today, Hiratsuka-sensei had skipped her run—perhaps to avoid losing to him again.

After eating breakfast prepared by Kawasaki Saki, Su Yu grabbed his motorcycle keys and set off.

Arriving at the Hikigaya Household

The Hikigaya residence wasn't far from school, but it was still a few kilometers away.

Su Yu got stuck at a red light, causing a slight delay.

By the time he arrived, it was already 8 AM.

Parking his motorcycle, he stepped forward and knocked on the door.

A moment later, a sleepy-looking Hikigaya Hachiman opened it.

Seeing Su Yu, he wordlessly turned around and grabbed a pair of slippers.

"Come in."

Before Su Yu could say anything, Hachiman was already walking toward the living room.

"Excuse me," Su Yu said politely as he stepped inside, switched into indoor slippers, and followed.

In the kitchen, he saw Komachi preparing breakfast.

"Su Yu-nii! I made breakfast just for you!"

Komachi walked out of the kitchen, carrying a tray of food.

"I already ate," Su Yu said.

"I figured you might say that, but I also figured this much wouldn't be a problem for you," Komachi said, smirking playfully.

Su Yu glanced at the portion size.

"Fine."

He sat down at the dining table.

Hachiman was eating his breakfast absentmindedly.

Meanwhile, Komachi sat beside Su Yu with her own plate.

Su Yu took a bite—he could taste the difference in the cooking.

"How is it? My cooking?" Komachi asked, eyes full of expectation.

"It's… exactly what I'd expect from a little sister's cooking."

"That sounds like something Su Yu-nii would say," Komachi muttered while eating.

"It tastes good, but you overcooked it slightly."

After quickly finishing his food, Su Yu set down his chopsticks.

Hachiman finished his meal and stood up.

"Take care of Komachi."

"Take care of the dishes, Onii-chan~," Komachi said sweetly.

Without another word, Hachiman gathered the plates and carried them to the kitchen.

Su Yu and Komachi headed outside.

The moment Komachi saw the motorcycle, her eyes widened slightly.

She glanced at Su Yu, a hint of concern on her face.

"Don't worry. I have a license. I wouldn't risk your safety," Su Yu reassured her, handing over a helmet.

"Alright… I trust you, Su Yu-nii. Just… don't go too fast, okay?"

Komachi carefully put on the helmet.

As the motorcycle glided down the road, Komachi felt at ease.

Su Yu rode steadily, avoiding sharp accelerations and reckless moves.

He obeyed traffic signals, waited at red lights, and gave way to other vehicles.

She had thought he might speed up for fun—or even scare her on purpose.

But now…

She realized something.

Onii-chan was right…

Su Yu-nii is a good person.

Arriving at Hoshiyuu Talent Agency

It took less than half an hour to reach their destination.

Hoshiyuu was a mid-sized agency, occupying a three-story office building.

Sata Kana was already waiting at the entrance.

Komachi got off the motorcycle, looking curiously at the building.

Su Yu parked, took off his helmet, and handed a document to Sata Kana.

"Young Master Su Yu, please follow me," she said with a smile after glancing at the papers.

Standing at the entrance, waiting for them, were:

A young woman in a business suitThree voice actresses, each dressed uniquely

Sata Kana introduced them:

"This is my junior, Lin Yueyin. She was the former assistant to the president—now, she's the new president of Hoshiyuu."

"Pleasure to meet you, Young Master Su Yu," Lin Yueyin greeted him in perfect Mandarin.

"I don't judge based on age, only capability. Since Sata Kana appointed you, I trust you'll do well."

"Thank you, Young Master Su Yu!" Lin Yueyin's eyes brightened.

Her biggest fear had been that Su Yu would find her too young to manage the agency.
