Yukinoshita Haruno once mentioned that a certain young lady was a fan of one of Su Yu's works.
Now, as soon as Yūzai's upcoming release was announced, it was immediately selected as a drawing textbook—a clear testament to how influential that young lady was.
With this news, Yūzai might soon become a hot topic in the media.
The hype surrounding it would be unimaginable.
Su Yu mentally noted this.
If he ever got the chance, he would thank that young lady in person.
Just as he was considering how to express his gratitude, his phone rang.
Taking it out, he saw that it was Sata Kana calling.
He glanced at Komachi, who was chatting with Tamura Nanako, before answering.
"Young Master Su Yu, the deal is sealed—1.7 billion yen. I've looked into it, and this price is absolutely worth it," Sata Kana reported.
"Alright, proceed with the acquisition. What about Yukinoshita-sama?"
"I just called her. She said that for any deal under 1 billion yen, there's no need to ask her—Young Master Su Yu's decision is equivalent to hers." Sata Kana lowered her voice.
"I see. Then go ahead with the purchase. Later, compile a list of the voice actors and their work history and send it to me."
"Understood." Sata Kana noted it down.
"As for the agency president, I'll leave that to you. Also… I have a friend who might be interested in becoming a voice actor."
Su Yu's gaze fell on Komachi.
"No problem. I'll handle the arrangements," Sata Kana replied instantly.
Her first assumption was that this friend was a girl—and most likely a very cute one.
After exchanging a few more words, Su Yu ended the call.
Putting his phone away, a thought suddenly struck him.
He turned and pushed open Satou Yumiko's office door.
"Su Yu-sensei? Is there something else?" Satou Yumiko, who had been reviewing some documents, quickly stood up.
"If a program was created to train voice actors using content from Future Manga Publishing's manga, would the publisher have control over it?" Su Yu asked.
"In theory, yes," Satou Yumiko replied, her expression serious. "While manga artists hold copyright, signing a contract with us grants us co-management rights. Any commercial use without approval is subject to legal action—even doujin works fall under this jurisdiction."
"Good. I've acquired a voice actor agency and want to use this training format to give newcomers a chance while offering audiences a unique experience," Su Yu explained as he stepped inside and closed the office door.
"If that's the case, then as long as the manga is serialized in Future Manga Publishing, it can be used without needing to notify the manga artist," Satou Yumiko said with a smile.
"Understood. Prepare a list of upcoming anime adaptations from the past two years. I'll pass it to Sata Kana to assess the feasibility of this idea."
Su Yu nodded, then left the office.
After leaving the editorial department, Su Yu met with Hanada Yui to discuss the company's manga app.
By the time he came back downstairs, Komachi was waiting with a bag full of manga from Future Manga Publishing.
"Nanako-neesan lent these to me! Do you want to read them, Su Yu-nii?" Komachi smiled.
"It's getting late. We should go find your brother—he's probably getting worried," Su Yu said, taking the bag of manga and leading the way.
"Nanako-neesan, see you later!" Komachi waved at Tamura Nanako before following him.
Tamura Nanako watched her leave, feeling fond of the cheerful girl.
Komachi was sharp, well-spoken, and had even noticed that she had feelings for Su Yu.
Outside Future Manga Publishing, Su Yu hailed a taxi, and the two of them sat in the back seat.
"Su Yu-nii, you sure have a lot of girls who like you," Komachi teased in a quiet voice.
"Do you like me too?"
Su Yu glanced at her.
"Of course! Komachi loves Su Yu-nii!" she declared playfully. "Too bad I met you too late—otherwise, I could've learned even more about you!"
"I like you too, Komachi. You're the cutest little sister—even manga doesn't have one like you."
Su Yu reached out and patted her head.
"What kind of like do you mean, Su Yu-nii?"
"The same kind you mean."
"Really? Is this a confession?" Komachi giggled.
"Yes. Next time we see your Onii-chan, I'll call him big bro."
"…I take it back. My bad!"
"It's fine. Just call me Onii-chan a few more times."
By the time they arrived at the tennis court, it was already 5 PM.
Hikigaya Hachiman, Totsuka Saika, and Hayama Hayato were taking a break.
They had been playing all afternoon.
"Komachi?" Hachiman frowned when he noticed the bag in her hands.
"A friend lent her some manga," Su Yu explained.
Hachiman relaxed slightly.
Although Komachi was smart, if she started accepting gifts carelessly, it could cause trouble.
"Su Yu-kun, I asked about the coaching fees here—it's based on an hourly rate…"
"You've improved already. At school, I'll get plenty of practice with you, Totsuka," Su Yu interrupted.
"But—"
"No buts. We're friends."
"…Alright. Thanks, Su Yu-kun," Totsuka finally smiled.
Su Yu looked away instantly—because Totsuka's smile looked just like a girl's.
Even Hikigaya Hachiman's face turned red beside him.
Since it was getting late, the five of them left the tennis court and walked toward the train station together.
Hayama and Hachiman exchanged numbers, adding a new contact to Hachiman's phone.
Su Yu and Komachi had already exchanged contact info, and Komachi even got Hayama's number.
Not because of his looks, but because he and Hachiman would be working together during summer break.
Just as they reached the station, Su Yu's phone buzzed—a message from Sata Kana.
He looked at Komachi beside him.
"Komachi, do you want to become a voice actor?"
"Huh?" Komachi blinked in surprise.
Hachiman and Totsuka looked confused as well.
Hayama, on the other hand, remained calm—he knew that for Su Yu, this kind of thing was easy.
"I bought a voice acting agency. Tomorrow, I'll be taking ownership of it. If you're interested, I can help you become a voice actress," Su Yu explained simply.
Komachi hesitated for a moment.
"Can I think about it? I'll give you an answer tonight, Su Yu-nii."
"Sure."
Su Yu didn't press her for a decision.
Hachiman glanced at his sister, clearly uncertain.
