Chapter 4: Lin Ze: I really picked it up from the garbage dump!

Feeling the tempting atmosphere in the room, Lin Ze swallowed his saliva.

Hunger surged like a tide.

For five years, he ate human food like a human. But no matter how he ate—spiritual food or ordinary—no matter how much Lin Ze consumed, he could never feel full.

Obviously, his stomach was no different from that of an ordinary five-year-old child, but no matter how much he ate, there would be no change.

There would be no feeling of fullness.

Only by feeding on the lust of Sidi could Lin Ze feel like he had eaten something.

Of course, he didn't have to devour Sidi's body.

But Sidi warned him that he was not allowed to show this ability in front of other people.

This was also the reason why Sidi didn't let him contact outsiders.

Lin Ze smacked his lips, with a hint of desire for "food," and slowly pushed open the door.

"Sister Sidi, I'm coming in..."

As the door was pushed open, the bedroom of the Devil of Love came into view.

The room of the Devil of Love Sidi was dominated by pink and black, giving off a blend of temptation and danger. The pink velvet bed and black marble desk intertwined stylishly. Magic crystals and rune decorations were scattered in between. The air was filled with a romantic pink fragrance, and the soft lights revealed magical arrays hidden among the decorations.

At this time, the Love Demon God Sidi was wearing a thin pajama, sitting in front of her dressing mirror, choosing today's makeup.

Lin Ze, unbothered, ran all the way to her side and said directly:

"Sister Sidi, I'm hungry..."

Sidi continued picking out makeup and responded,

"How many times have I told you to call me sister!"

Lin Ze muttered,

"I know, sister..."

"Why?" Hearing the reluctance in his tone, Sidi turned and looked at Lin Ze:

"Why is it so difficult for you to call me 'my lady'?"

Lin Ze scratched his nose,

"Not really... I just prefer to call you Sister Sidi..."

In truth, Lin Ze never understood why Sidi insisted on being called "lady." It felt a bit strange to him.

Sidi didn't press the matter. Her original intent behind the formal title was to avoid emotional entanglements. From the start, Lin Ze was only a "tool" in her eyes.

However, after five years of living together, Lin Ze still refused to address her formally, so she had to settle for the second-best option: "sister."

"How was the training today?" Sidi asked.

"It's finished. Xiao Yun told me to come see Sister. She said there are guests today and asked me to come to you."

Sidi glanced at the faint shadow of Taotie behind Lin Ze. After years of observation, she'd come to understand some of his situation.

Seeing the shadow thinner than before, Sidi frowned:

"Are you being greedy again?"

Lin Ze's heart skipped a beat. He replied with guilt:

"After training today... I was really hungry, so I had just a little from Xiao Yun..."

"But I swear, Sister, I really didn't mean it... I couldn't control it..."

Sidi snorted coldly, voice stern:

"Tomorrow's training will be doubled. I won't punish you this time, but you must remember what I say next!"

"Yes."

Lin Ze nodded seriously, sensing her rare anger.

Seeing this, Sidi reached out and turned the mirror toward Lin Ze.

"Look carefully!"

Lin Ze looked into the mirror as told, though confused.

At first, he saw nothing out of the ordinary.

But just when he was about to ask what she meant, he caught a faint reflection—a horrifying figure behind him.

It had a sheep's body, a human face, eyes under its armpits, tiger teeth, and human claws.

Startled, Lin Ze turned his head, but he couldn't see the creature in reality.

Still, he could feel it—an immense pressure in the air, as though elemental forces were being squeezed.

"Sister Sidi... what is that?" Lin Ze asked, bewildered.

Sidi sighed internally: "What is it? That's what I should be asking you..."

But out loud, she said calmly, maintaining the image of an all-knowing guardian:

"Don't worry. This creature belongs to you. It only manifests when your hunger reaches a certain level. But you must remember: never allow yourself to become that hungry unless absolutely necessary."

"While its phantom is still faint, some people who are sensitive to elemental fluctuations may notice it."

"Its existence is tied to your origins. You'll have to uncover those answers for yourself someday."

"Ah~"

Lin Ze gasped.

"Sister Sidi... you really picked me up from the garbage dump!"

Sidi: ???

She was stunned.

And then furious.

"You brat! I'm being serious here, and that's what you focus on?!"

Lin Ze scratched his head, awkward:

"Xiao Yun said... when adults say a child came from the trash, it's usually just to scare them..."

Then his voice dropped a little.

"I really don't have parents..."

Sidi, ready to scold him more, softened when she heard that.

Five years of raising this child... no matter how cold-blooded she tried to be, feelings had still developed.

She sighed:

"Why? Is someone only your parent because they gave birth to you?"

Lin Ze lifted his head, then threw himself into her arms, smiling:

"Sister Sidi is my mom!"

"Hmph, that's more like it."

Sidi replied reflexively, her voice a little gentler.

She didn't even realize that the look she gave Lin Ze was full of affection.

But she was still a demon of lust—she knew very well what she could and couldn't desire.

And so—

"Let's begin. Let's see if today, you can fully absorb one of my emotions."

Lin Ze didn't hesitate. For him, devouring emotions was as normal as breathing.

It was his way of surviving.

Human desires are categorized into seven emotions and six desires.

The seven emotions are joy, anger, sorrow, fear, love, hate, and desire.

The six desires refer to attachments to life, aversion to death, and cravings of the eyes, ears, mouth, nose, and body—for color, sound, taste, fragrance, and touch.
