In Yunnan Province of China, there lives an ancient ethnic minority known as the Miao people. According to legend, their culture still retains some ancient witchcraft rituals, totem worship, and medical practices, which mostly fall under folk activities such as sacrifices, treating diseases, and warding off evil spirits. However, there are also legends saying that they could put poisonous creatures such as snakes, centipedes, scorpions, spiders, toads, and even human and animal organs into sealed containers. Through special methods, they could turn these into evil objects that could harm people, control people's minds, or even seek wealth and cast curses. People all called this 'gu shu' (spells and magic arts).
In the following story, Mo Fan and his adventurous family members will set foot in this mysterious land where the Miao people live, in search of the 'Bodhi Fruit', a legendary plant said to be able to cure all diseases in the world. Let's embark on this new adventure together.
