Chapter 54: The Shadow Alpha
Darius's POV
"Do you hear me, boy?"

The voice was sounding very deep inside my skull, breaking my bones, sounding through my veins as if I had been emptied out and filled with ash.
I moved through the runes of the Wastes, my breath was weak, something had been burning in my skin, my chest moved as if fire still lived in my lungs. But the pain was very very much now.
I could realize how much peace I had when I was back with Seraphina, I loved her with all of my heart but because of the bond, Seraphina refused to forgive me. I begged so much for his forgiveness but still she had to let me go without doing anything about it.
And now, I have become something else already. My hands were shaking as I looked down at the black marks on my flesh.
The hollow wolf said to me again, a voice that was neither a man nor a beast but a shadow of both.
