Jihl didn't want anyone else to take care of Bao Bei anymore.
While thinking that, he softly whispered into Bao Bei's ear as the boy started to drift off to sleep.
"I'm going back to the royal capital. You're coming with me. Judy is waiting there too."
"Judyyy… munnn…"
Whether he understood or not, Bao Bei just mumbled something sleepily and fell asleep.
In the morning, as Bao Bei took a big bite of buttered white bread while Jihl spoke to him from the side.
"We're returning to the royal capital. You're coming too. You'll get to see Judy and Kesi."
"Judy!"
Bao Bei tried to shout but choked on the bread in his mouth.
Trying hard to talk, he ended up spilling crumbs everywhere.
Jihl, watching him struggle, gave him a glass of water.
"Calm down. You can talk after you're done eating. Chew properly."
Bao Bei quickly swallowed the bread in his mouth.
"We're really gonna see Judy and Kesi? Really? When? Tomorrow? Today?"
Jihl gave a wry smile and patted Bao Bei's head.
