Lawrence sighed, glanced at Leyton and Bernadette standing silently to the side, then continued Mr. Door's words, asking, "But your ravings still exist, and members of the Abraham Family can still hear your voice when they encounter the Full Moon, then go insane or lose control."
"If I want to completely lift this curse that has plagued the Abraham Family for thousands of years, what should I do?"
Mr. Door sighed like an elder facing a stubborn junior and said, "There is only one way: help me escape the troubles of darkness and storms. Only then can I have the energy to control and improve my mental problems and stop making insane roars."
Lawrence pressed, "How do I do that?"
"Set up a ritual, recite my honorific name, and then sacrifice one Secrets Sorcerer, one Bizzaro Sorcerer, and one Parasite. With the unique qualities briefly produced by the convergence of these three pathways, I can escape my predicament."
"But this is too difficult for the current Abraham Family, almost impossible, so there's no need to force it."
"You just need to live well. You don't necessarily have to become Beyonders. With the wealth accumulated by the Abraham Family, even as an ordinary person, you can live a happy and fulfilling life."
Lawrence gave a bitter smile, "I understand."
The crimson moonlight shattered inch by inch around them, revealing the light of dusk once more, shining on the ground and on Lawrence, revealing an indescribable sense of decay and desolation.
After a long while, Lawrence finally composed himself and turned to look at Leyton and Bernadette, asking, "What do you think? Is there a problem with our ancestor? The initial roar and the one who spoke to me later don't seem like the same person at all."
Bernadette nodded, her tone certain as she said, "There is definitely a problem with Mr. Door. His normalcy is just a disguise. It was he who tempted and deceived my father to go to the Moon, where he suffered the corruption of the Primordial Moon. That's why all those things happened later."
"Among those who followed my father back then, there was also a member of your Abraham Family. You should not be unfamiliar with the changes he underwent in his later years."
Lawrence shook his head with a bitter smile, "I had this suspicion, but our ancestor's tone shook my belief."
Leyton saw Lawrence's doubt and struggle. He didn't try to persuade him but instead suggested, "Being corrupted doesn't necessarily mean turning into a mad monster. It could also mean being unknowingly replaced by another self."
"As a demigod, you no longer fear the Full Moon. You can find some Sanguine and ask them to record the Beyonder power that creates the Full Moon effect. Listen to Mr. Door's voice at different times, and then compare them."
"I understand. I will do that." Lawrence nodded heavily in response, then fell silent, no longer speaking.
After a brief exchange, Lawrence bid farewell and left. He needed to return to the Abraham Family to convene the elder council and discuss the next steps.
After Lawrence left, Bernadette suddenly asked, "You seem to be intentionally pushing this matter, both giving warnings and helping him come into contact with Mr. Door."
"After learning about Mr. Door, even if the Abraham Family reaches a unified opinion, there will inevitably be some who want to rescue Mr. Door and restore the Abraham Family's glory."
Leyton nodded, his tone calm as he said, "Concealment is not my authority. Since they asked questions, I will naturally give answers. There's no need to stop them from seeking the true, and as for providing some help, all of that has clear price tags."
"Just as I said earlier, Mr. Door will inevitably return. Without him, the Lord of the Mysteries cannot appear. This is something all existences cannot accept, except for those in the cosmos."
As he spoke, Leyton suddenly paused, tilted his head to look in the direction of Constant City, a silver-white glint flashing in his eyes, instantly becoming extremely deep.
This change didn't last too long. Once his eyes were clear again, Leyton tilted his head to glance at Bernadette and reminded her, "0-02 has appeared. Its information comes from Constant City."
Upon hearing this, Bernadette's body instantly dematerialized, disintegrating into complex knowledge that rapidly surged, approaching Constant City.
Watching Bernadette leave, Leyton remained motionless. He tilted his head slightly, listening intently, a faint, illusory sound of a Steam train running echoing in his ears, though there was no Steam train station or tracks nearby.
"Could it be too much of a coincidence that everything everyone is looking for has appeared at once?"
Whispering to himself, Leyton's body suddenly became transparent, then illusory, turning into a pile of foam.
These bubbles, illuminated by the dusk light, reflected dreamy colors, scattering and floating away, vanishing in an instant.
Somewhere in the vibrant, layered Spirit World, a silver track suddenly extended from the void, continuously moving forward, entering a distorted mass of colors.
Amidst rumbling sounds, a dark-colored Steam train emerged from nothingness, rapidly advancing on the silver track.
Inside the continuously moving train, in the dimly lit carriage, black cables as thick as little fingers hung down from the ceiling, tangled together, suspending one blood-stained and rusty head after another.
These heads swayed continuously with the movement of the Steam train, striking each other and sparking, producing the sound of metal colliding.
Among the many suspended heads, there was also an ancient silver mirror with strange patterns. It was tightly bitten by several heads, as if they wanted to bite it into pieces and swallow it.
A somewhat benevolent-looking head turned around, still tightly biting the silver mirror, and spoke in Horamick Haydn's voice:
"What happened just now?"
On the mirror surface, a layer of ripples agitated, and then one Feysac word after another, dripping with fresh red liquid, appeared:
"Several rules here were replaced, which happened to destroy the train's hidden environment, causing us to fall out of that peculiar state."
"It's impossible to know who did it, but the Erudite's angel has already arrived in Constant City."
The head resembling Horamick Haydn let out a disdainful snort:
"Hmph, that hypocritical Sage! The authority of reality and civilization belongs only to the 'Stars,' and will ultimately return to the 'Stars'!"
Another ripple surged across the silver mirror's surface, and new words appeared:
"It's my turn to ask. Who are the 'Stars' you speak of?"
The head resembling Horamick Haydn suddenly leaned close to the silver mirror's surface, revealing a strange smile, its expression twisting, and black oil constantly dripping from the corners of its mouth, its voice becoming manic as it said, "Do you really want to know?"
"Of course, it's the great Supernova Dominator, the creator of the cosmic Stars, the embodiment of the true rules, the ruler of all civilizations!"
As Horamick's voice rang out, the light inside the Steam train carriage suddenly flickered, no longer dim yellow, but a deep blue like the cosmos, as if countless Stars were twinkling, and one Star after another was reflected, forming a distorted, sinister face.
On the silver mirror's surface, all the words instantly vanished, and the mirror became dim, as if covered by a gray-black gauze, reflecting nothing.
The suspended Horamick's head was no longer insane. It turned back and said at the same time, "Give up the struggle. Wouldn't it be better to join us? We are connected to each other, forming one body, sharing power, knowledge, and faith. This is the ultimate form of civilization."
"You are very special, more special than most Grade 1 Sealed Artifacts, even surpassing some Grade 0 Sealed Artifacts. Only those foolish Steam believers would only treat you as a Grade 2 Sealed Artifact."
"This is also why I value you. Otherwise, you would have long ago become our sustenance, like those useless things."
The silver mirror, tightly bitten by several heads, remained silent and motionless, like an autistic child.
Boom!
A huge crashing sound echoed as the Steam train seemed to hit a solid barrier, shaking violently, tumbling, and becoming a chaotic mess.
Arrodes, tightly bitten by several heads, was flung out, hitting the glass window and causing cracks.
On both sides of the silver mirror, a pair of illusory small hands materialized, vigorously slapping the window, seemingly wanting to smash the cracked window.
Its actions were unsuccessful. Several black cables hung down from the top, tying it into a ball.
On the silver mirror's surface, a layer of ripples spread out, and one bright golden word after another appeared:
"My Master is coming for me! You just wait to be made into a model toy by my great, supreme Master!"
Above the Gray Fog, Klein watched this scene through the prayer light, feeling a bit amused. He looked down at the mirror he had casually taken from the historical void at the edge of the table. The mirror surface was displaying colorful fireworks, and below it, a small figure was excitedly waving its little hands, rushing towards him.
"Great, supreme, and exalted Master, you've finally come for me! I was almost eaten by that lunatic—no, it should be 'it,' um, 'them.' I got a lot of information from them."
"I see."
Looking at the words appearing on the mirror, Klein nodded gently in response.
After Leyton informed him of the situation, he immediately came to the Gray Fog. Using the special summoning of the Sefirah Castle, he summoned mirror Arrodes, and then, using its connection to its main body, he used the 'Curtain' to exert influence, cleverly grafting the Steam train's tracks to the Steam train station in Constant City.
As for why it was Constant City, he wasn't quite sure, but his true sight above the Gray Fog allowed him to see the difference in Constant City. It seemed to be affected by some influence, and its rules were in an extremely unstable yet unusually strict state.
