Lawrence glanced at Shawn in surprise, then withdrew his gaze and chuckled, "The future? So you think highly of him?"
"Not really, I just coincidentally became a little interested," Leyton shook his head, then added, "Perhaps, we should find another place to talk."
"My apologies, I was negligent. There's a very good coffee shop nearby. Perhaps we could go in and sit for a while?"
As he spoke, Lawrence turned his body, gesturing for Leyton to follow, then led the way, a half-step ahead of Leyton, while quietly expressing some of his doubts:
"A Blood Moon suddenly occurred a while ago. It had already happened once this year, without any warning. At that time, I almost lost control and became a monster in my sleep."
"Some records left by the Abraham Family ancestors indicate that the occurrence of a Blood Moon is not without reason. Does this mean that some hidden, unknown changes occurred at that time?"
Leyton was silent for two seconds, recalling the timeline in his mind, then gave his conclusion:
"A while ago? It was probably when the Primordial Moon's Blessed was killed, and that evil god reacted to it."
Lawrence was clearly surprised by this answer. The Primordial Moon was not an evil god with a particularly strong sense of presence, basically only circulating among the Sanguine and the Life School of Thought. The former still maintained their faith in their ancestor Lilith and were very resistant to other existences who held the Moon's authority.
However, considering that this was also an evil god who held the Moon's authority, he felt it was only natural for him to cause the Blood Moon night.
He paused, then asked curiously, "The Primordial Moon's Blessed? Is it a Blessed system similar to the Church of the Earth Mother? Or does it simply refer to an existence that received a god's blessing?"
Leyton calmly explained, "The latter. It's a kind of paper doll that accepted power from the Primordial Moon during long-term bloody sacrifices, gradually mutated, and came to life, similar to a mystical item. The Primordial Moon's followers know how to use them."
As he spoke, he had already arrived at a coffee shop called "Black Romance" under Lawrence's guidance.
The coffee shop was quite spacious, but there weren't many people inside, scattered in different seats. Compared to the bustling street, the shop was as quiet as if it had already closed.
After finding a seat by the window near a corner, Lawrence skillfully hailed a waiter and ordered two cups of black coffee from the Paz River Valley.
After the waiter left, he looked at Leyton and said with a low chuckle, "Today is the Ocean Festival, and most people are out participating in the celebration. It's estimated that people will only gradually go to bars, coffee shops, or return home to rest after they feel tired in the afternoon."
As Leyton gently nodded, his right hand, wearing a mechanical glove, lightly tapped the edge of the table twice with his fingers. Spirituality spread out like ripples, forming a Wall of Spirituality that encompassed the area.
After doing all this, he leaned back slightly against the chair, his gaze falling on Lawrence, and calmly said, "I need a Beyonder characteristic of a Traveler or a Secrets Sorcerer to create a mystical item. Is your Abraham Family willing to trade a collected Beyonder characteristic or mystical item to me, or tell me some information so I can hunt a Traveler myself?"
Lawrence was silent for a moment before slowly speaking, "I have a mystical item corresponding to a Traveler. If you need it, you can buy it from me."
"A Secrets Sorcerer is already at the demigod level. Even in the major churches, the number of Grade 1 Sealed Artifacts is limited. I have no right to decide the fate of such a mystical item; it must be approved by the Elder Council."
After a two-second pause, he continued, "Besides the Abraham Family, the Theosophy Order also possesses some Apprentice pathway formulas and Beyonder characteristic."
"They believe that spirit is the essence of man, and the body is merely a cage that binds the spirit. People commit evil because they are influenced by the body. They must obtain knowledge through spirituality, allowing the spirit to gradually free itself from the body, and then, after layers of trials from the Astral Body, finally escape the material world and return to the purest and true self, achieving eternal salvation."
"However, these are probably just their disguises, or a part of their doctrines. According to my understanding, most of their members belong to the Demoness Sect and are an identity used by the Demoness Sect to be active in various places. We suspect that the Demoness Sect possesses a Beyonder characteristic of a Planeswalker."
Leyton leaned back in the wooden chair, quietly listening to Lawrence's narration. He didn't care that the other party had steered the conversation towards the Theosophy Order and calmly nodded, "I understand. If I want to buy that mystical item from you, how many gold pounds or other things do I need to pay?"
Lawrence almost without hesitation stated his conditions: "15,000 pounds, or, help me recover a Beyonder characteristic of a Secrets Sorcerer later."
Leyton said almost without thinking, "Alright. I will give you 15,000 pounds by tomorrow."
"If you need help recovering the Secrets Sorcerer Beyonder characteristic later, you can also find me. I don't mind earning this money back."
During their conversation, the waiter had already brought over the brewed coffee.
Lawrence picked up the coffee cup from the table and took a sip, then began to introduce the effects of the mystical item he possessed:
"I call it the 'Magic Chalk Box.' It looks like an ordinary iron-gray small box containing three colors of chalk. It automatically refills after use, but only after all the chalk inside has been used up."
"The blue chalk can draw a 'door' on a wall or floor leading to the desired location in your mind. The greater the distance, the higher the probability of deviation, but as long as the destination is within a city, there will generally not be too many problems."
"The yellow chalk can be used for divination. Whether you write down the question you want to ask or simply throw the chalk, you will get a relatively accurate answer. Do not ask vague questions, as this will make the divination result dangerous."
"The red chalk can turn drawn objects into reality. For example, if you draw a lightning bolt, a lightning bolt will indeed strike nearby. However, if the drawn object is too abstract or too complex, it will appear as an illusion or a random magical attack."
"It has two negative effects: one is that the holder will suffer from severe claustrophobia, and the other is that after each use of the chalk inside, they will get lost and encounter uncertain dangers. It must be quickly immersed in boiling hot water to avoid this negative impact."
"Claustrophobia?" Leyton murmured softly. His powerful spiritual intuition allowed him to glimpse some blurry images from the fragmented words.
After a two-second pause, he said thoughtfully, "This Traveler seems to have had a bad experience in his life, so much so that a strong spiritual imprint was left within his Beyonder characteristic, which manifested in the mystical item it formed."
Lawrence was silent for a moment, his voice sounding somewhat dejected as he said, "This came from a family member during Emperor Roselle's time. He tried to find a sufficiently hidden place to avoid the ravings he would hear during advancement."
"No one knows where he went or what he encountered. This mystical item was discovered decades later, and the family members at the time only learned about it through divination."
"Because it overlaps with my own Beyonder abilities, I don't carry this mystical item with me. When do you need it? I can go get it anytime."
"No hurry. Let me raise the gold pounds first," Leyton chuckled in response, picking up his coffee cup and bringing it to his lips.
Leyton sat with Lawrence in the coffee shop for about an hour, discussing many topics from mysticism to the current international situation. Towards the end of their conversation, Lawrence brought up his desire to travel to the Paz River Valley.
"The meaning of travel is not just to have been to different places and seen different scenery. A Traveler is also a witness, which is a further interpretation of a Scribe."
"I have a premonition that in the Paz River Valley, which is undergoing drastic changes, the Traveler potion in me will be completely digested."
As he spoke, a deep silvery-white glint flashed in Lawrence's eyes, as if he had seen some of his own future.
Leyton gently nodded, "That is your freedom, but I need to remind you that the Aurora Order's Saint of Secrets is also in the Southern Continent, spreading the faith of the True Creator."
Lawrence chuckled twice, then said, "I am no longer young, and naturally no longer impulsive. I will not appear before him unless I am 100% confident."
After communicating with Lawrence, Leyton casually found a hotel with vacant rooms and used a fake identity to check himself in for two days.
He then followed the waiter to his room on the third floor of the hotel. After closing the door, he walked directly to the full-length mirror against the wall, reached out and drew a Eyes of Mystery Prying symbol reflecting a book on the mirror's surface, while chanting an incantation under his breath.
As the spirituality spread, faint blue light rippled in circles on the mirror's surface, and brilliant stars shimmered into existence, outlining the symbol he had just drawn on the mirror.
Amidst the shimmering water, a figure identical to him, but with different attire, emerged in the mirror. Below the mirror, Bugs Bunny, wearing a black tailcoat and a top hat, was curiously lying on the mirror, patting the surface repeatedly with his fleshy paws, seemingly wanting to see if he could pass through from the other side of the mirror.
To the left and right of Bugs Bunny, Orange Cat Ritz and Cow Cat Brie, wearing the same black top hats, were pressed against the mirror, curiously scrutinizing it up and down.
