"You know why?" Azik's eyes flickered, looking at Ankewelt, who had transformed into human form, with surprise.
Ankewelt gently shook his head, stroking his grizzled beard as he said, "I'm not sure, I'm just making some guesses based on your reaction. This is something every Spectator is good at."
"However, I have some guesses about your state. This might be related to the arrangements left behind by Death. You are His direct descendant, or an Angel of this Pathway. You are the best vessel for His resurrection."
"Furthermore, ever since Death fell, the Uniqueness of this Pathway has been lost. Neither Evernight nor Badheil has been able to find this Uniqueness."
"...Uniqueness." Azik lowered his head, his brows gradually furrowing. His head felt a bit swollen and painful, but he couldn't recall anything more.
Seeing Azik deep in thought, Ankewelt redirected his gaze to Klein at the head of the mottled long table. He asked with a slight hint of doubt, "That knowledge's Blessed isn't truly dead yet. Where do I need to place his stone statue?"
Klein resisted the urge to instinctively turn his head and look at the Prophet Clone, speaking leisurely, "Sacrifice it directly to me."
He was worried that the gray-white stone statue might have some lingering methods from the Demoness Sect or this Dragon King, so it would be safer to first bring it above the Gray Fog for Purification.
"Alright." Ankewelt nodded slightly, responding without much change in tone, as if he had already guessed that the other party would say so.
His gaze lingered on the Prophet Clone for a moment with a hint of deeper meaning, then he smiled and nodded at him before retracting his gaze.
Klein tapped the edge of the table twice again, his voice calm as he said, "Let's end it here. If you need me, you can directly chant my name."
Ankewelt then rose from the high-backed chair, his gaze sweeping around. Seeing that the other two figures had also risen like him, he spoke in a gentle voice to the figure shrouded in Gray Fog at the head of the table, "Pleasure working with you!"
"Pleasure working with you!" Klein responded with a leisurely posture.
As his thoughts stirred, a Red Light suddenly surged, then quickly dissipated. Ankewelt's figure vanished along with the Red Light above this Gray Fog.
With Ankewelt's departure, the Prophet Clone and Azik sat down again. They exchanged glances, a slight smile gracing their lips.
Klein dispersed the Gray Fog shrouding him, looking at Azik and asking with concern, "Mr. Azik, do you know the whereabouts of the Death Pathway's Uniqueness? Could this be related to why you repeatedly lose your memory?"
Azik gently shook his head, speaking with a hint of confusion, "I don't know. Perhaps the me who has recovered all my memories would know the reason."
"I have a feeling that this Dragon King's guess is likely true."
The Prophet Clone tapped the armrest on the right side of his chair twice, a smile on his lips, and said calmly, "The Uniqueness of Death is left in the Berserk Sea, but I don't know the exact location... Perhaps, once you recover your memories and obtain the relevant item, you can sense it."
"Relevant item?" Azik frowned slightly, asking in confusion.
The Prophet Clone nodded gently and said, "'Admiral Hell' Ludwell, he has a ring that is said to be left behind by 'Death'."
"He is a member of the Numinous Episcopate, so that item is very likely a genuine relic of 'Death'."
Klein leaned back in his chair, his hands naturally crossed, as information about 'Admiral Hell' appeared in his mind:
'Admiral Hell' Ludwell, flagship is the 'Black Tulip', bounty of 55,000 pounds, once a subordinate of the King of the Five Seas, later became independent... connected with the 'Numinous Episcopate', the highest bounty and strongest among the Seven Admirals, cruel and bloodthirsty.
I definitely can't beat him, at least not until I advance to Marionettist... Or, just call for help. Klein glanced at Azik and the Prophet Clone next to him, subtly suppressing his thoughts.
Azik reached out and rubbed the bridge of his nose twice, easing the discomfort in his head caused by constantly recalling the past, then he said softly, "Once I recover most of my memories, I will go to 'Admiral Hell' Ludwell to get that ring left by 'Death'."
"I have a premonition that this matter needs to wait until I am in a better state."
Klein looked at Azik curiously and asked, "Why? "Admiral Hell" should only be a Sequence 5 Beyonder. Even with the ring left by "Death..." it shouldn't pose a danger to you, right?"
Azik gently shook his head, his voice without much emotional fluctuation as he said, "I'm not very clear either, it's just an intuition... Perhaps, it's other matters that are pulled into it that bring danger."
Other matters? Does he mean the Uniqueness of Death? Did the former Death also leave some arrangements? Klein mused to himself for a while, then he looked at the empty seats around the mottled long table, chuckling, "Mr. Azik, I've established a gathering here using its special properties. The members come from different places, have different identities, and all came here by chance and established a connection with me. Although most are only low to mid-sequence, they are very broad in scope."
"If you're interested, you can participate and also post some tasks at the gathering to collect items that will help you recover your memory."
Azik nodded gently, a look of interest appearing on his face as he said, "A very interesting gathering. If I have time, I will participate."
Klein suddenly felt a surge of confidence after finding a backer. He restrained the upward curve of his lips and said with a smile, "The gathering time is every Monday at 3 PM Backlund time. I will notify you before each gathering begins."
"Oh, and they use Tarot cards as their codenames. These are the ones that haven't been chosen yet."
As he spoke, Klein gently waved his hand, materializing a deck of Tarot cards above the mottled long table, but the chosen cards like "The Fool..." "The World..." and "White Tower" were not among them.
"This one." Azik pointed casually.
Klein nodded gently while making the other Tarot cards disappear, leaving only that one floating in front of Azik.
The Prophet Clone turned his head to look. The card depicted Death, armored and riding a white horse, holding a black banner with a rose painted on it, looking down at the living beings on the ground. It was the "Death" card from the twenty-two Major Arcana.
"This card symbolizes great change and continuous self-renewal. Regardless of how it ends, embracing the outcome is the beginning of a new journey."
The Prophet Clone spoke with some feeling, beginning his interpretation.
This, to some extent, perfectly corresponds to Mr. Azik's experiences. So, when Mr. Azik faces constant memory loss and rebirth, should he look to the future and embrace a new life? ...As he pondered, Klein looked at Azik.
Azik leaned back slightly, resting his head against the chair back, his voice somewhat deep and hoarse as he said, "Corresponding to the Sefirah of the Seer Pathway, plus an interpretation from a Prophet... Perhaps this is the revelation given by fate."
The Prophet Clone leaned slightly, resting against the armrest of the high-backed chair, offering his opinion:
"This card also symbolizes intense change. Letting go of the past allows for a new life to begin."
Thump Thump, Klein rhythmically tapped the edge of the table in front of him. After attracting the attention of the Prophet Clone and Azik, he said with a chuckle, "Gentlemen, let's end it here for today. My spirituality is getting a bit strained."
"Mm." "No problem."
Azik and the Prophet Clone nodded simultaneously. With a surge of Red Light, their figures instantly vanished above this Gray Fog.
