In the Spirit World Depths, Leyton and Bugs Bunny sat side-by-side on a bench made of condensed starlight.
Before them was a mirror formed by converging water, within which a figure floated—Klein, dressed in a golden-red gown, her hands bound, being led into the Captain's Cabin.
Bugs Bunny's gaze curiously examined every detail in the mirror until Tracy appeared. He adjusted the hat on his head, turned to Leyton, and asked with some confusion:
"Do only beautiful people get to be Pirate Admiral?"
Leyton paused, a few Pirate admirals Bugs Bunny had met flashing through his mind, and he chuckled, responding:
"No, it's just that you've only seen a few of them."
As Leyton and Bugs Bunny spoke, the scene in the mirror shifted.
Perhaps knowing that Leyton was watching through the Eyes of Mystery Prying, Klein dared not let herself and Tracy continue like this. If things developed beyond a certain point, it would become a lifelong stain on her, the kind that would be recorded and constantly reminded!
The moment Klein, in the guise of Irene, approached Vice Admiral Ailment, she directly launched her attack.
Her left hand, as if boneless, easily broke free from the ropes. The flesh-colored glove clinging to her palm instantly shimmered with a golden hue, and two dazzling bolts of lightning, piercing to the soul, lit up in her emerald eyes.
Tracy's expression became startled, solemn, and disbelieving.
The moment Klein touched her body, the illusion of Tracy before him shattered like glass, scattering into fragments on the floor.
Mirror Substitute. It truly failed. A Demoness at the demigod level had been on the Black Death. Being skilled in divination, she likely detected that Tracy was about to encounter misfortune. Although not fatal, there would certainly be a warning.
After a moment of thought, Leyton's eyes flashed, becoming incredibly deep, like the sea before a storm. His gaze clearly lost focus, his eyes a vast blank.
Some blurry images floated in his mind: the process of Klein and Tracy fighting, and finally, both being injured, with Klein escaping the Black Death.
No danger, it's just that Tracy was prepared for the attack. There's no hidden Demoness on the Black Death, nor any extra arrangements… Leyton, his eyes clear again, frowned slightly. When his gaze fell upon the Black Death, he felt a faint unease.
After a moment of thought, he turned to Bugs Bunny, who was sitting beside him, placed a hand on his neck, and after a slight pause, said:
"I'll have a few Knowledge Rabbits take you to the Library in the Spirit World Depths. If I don't come to pick you up later, you can ask the Old Man in the Library to bring you to pick me up."
"Will you encounter any danger?" Bugs Bunny looked around anxiously.
"Not necessarily, just a bad feeling."
Leyton chuckled, rubbing the back of Bugs Bunny's head beneath his hat.
He rose from the starlight-condensed bench, and as his spirituality spread, ripples of starlight emanated from behind him, revealing a somewhat flawed ring composed of gears.
Using the connection between the ring behind him and the Spirit World, he skipped the ritual steps and softly chanted:
"Spirits wandering in the void, friendly beings that can be communicated with, rabbit-shaped spirit bodies favored by knowledge."
His words transformed into information, instantly merging into the Spirit World. In just a moment, two translucent, ethereal spirit bodies drifted from afar.
If one ignored their translucent bodies, they were entirely ordinary, somewhat dazed rabbits.
Bugs Bunny watched the approaching Knowledge Rabbits for a moment, then spoke with a look of sudden understanding:
".There are two dazed rabbits nearby!"
The two Knowledge Rabbits quickly approached. Leyton glanced at the normal rabbit size of the Knowledge Rabbits, then at the clearly plump Bugs Bunny.
He somewhat doubted whether these two Knowledge Rabbits could drag Bugs Bunny through the Spirit World.
"Hmm, Boss! Your gaze is very rude." Bugs Bunny seemed to have seen through Leyton's thoughts and said somewhat indignantly.
Leyton chuckled, rubbing Bugs Bunny's head, ignoring his words, and looked at the two Knowledge Rabbits, saying:
"Do you know the location of that Library in the Spirit World Depths?"
The two Knowledge Rabbits nodded repeatedly.
Seeing that the Knowledge Rabbits knew the place, Leyton breathed a sigh of relief, then pushed Bugs Bunny towards them, saying:
"Can you help me take him to that Library?"
"As a reward, you can choose any book to read in the Library."
The two Knowledge Rabbits nodded with even greater amplitude and speed.
Then they each took one of Bugs Bunny's paws and dragged him directly towards the Spirit World Depths.
Bugs Bunny looked at Leyton in a panic. He and the two Knowledge Rabbits were back to back, completely unable to see what was ahead, feeling as if he had been kidnapped.
But the Knowledge Rabbits moved quickly. Before he could finish shouting, he had already disappeared from Leyton's sight.
Those two Knowledge Rabbits seemed very happy to be with Bugs Bunny… Leyton sighed inwardly and turned to look at the scene in the mirror.
Because he failed to tear off the Mystical Item with strong defensive capabilities from Tracy's hand, the battle between Klein and this Pirate Admiral fell into a stalemate.
On the Black Death, Klein's figure trembled uncontrollably, and black, illusory flames burned from within him.
His body rapidly thinned and became brittle, finally turning into scraps of paper burned to ash by the black flames.
His figure then appeared from another place.
As soon as his figure emerged, he fell into a strange state of paralysis and sluggishness, as if sinking into a soft embrace, bringing a comfortable feeling that made one succumb, impossible to break free from.
Something's wrong, Tracy's reaction just now wasn't right, as if she already knew she would be attacked… Klein still maintained Irene's appearance, and as thoughts constantly floated in his mind, his intuition grasped something.
Demonesses are also skilled in divination. Did the red-haired Demoness Irene mentioned detect the abnormality in Tracy's fate? Why did I overlook that point at the time?
As his thoughts turned, Klein spread his arms, and the glove on his left hand quickly glowed with a layer of golden light.
A grand, pure, blazing pillar of light descended from the sky, enveloping Tracy and the layers of frost in the room.
Tracy stared intently at Klein, or rather, at Irene. Her voice hoarsely said:
"Who exactly are you? Where is Irene? What have you done to her?"
Klein maintained Irene's appearance, flashing a bright smile at Tracy, and opened his mouth slightly, but a deep male voice emerged:
"She went to a place you can't find."
"Before that, she told me all your secrets, and of course, her own."
Tracy's body trembled slightly, her expression distorted by pain.
The surface of the glove on Klein's left hand wriggled, quickly retracting its original golden light, and instead, layers of fine, dark-golden scales emerged. His pupils also began to shift vertically.
The next moment, a strong sense of danger struck. Klein's action of extending his left hand forward stiffened, and an image floated in his mind:
Dark-red flames continuously surged out, instantly engulfing the Captain's Cabin, engulfing him and Tracy.
No, is she going to drag me down with her? Is this Demoness a love-struck fool?… As this thought began to form in his mind, the layers of dark red, like a surging tide, quickly swallowed everything in the room.
Inside the Captain's Cabin, dark-red flames instantly consumed everything.
Klein had intended to use the ability of Flame Leap through these flames to escape the Captain's Cabin, but he strangely found himself unable to control these dark-red flames.
His figure rapidly thinned and became brittle in the flames, turning into a crudely cut paper figure.
The next moment, his figure appeared near the Captain's Cabin door, his clothes and hair instantly catching fire.
Using the flames ignited on his body, he activated the Flame Leap ability. Although he couldn't shift his position, the flame immunity effect that came with Flame Leap would keep him unharmed.
As he used Flame Leap, a cold, indifferent, eyelash-less eye made of brilliant starlight appeared on his forehead.
Brilliant rays of light quickly appeared on his body, instantly condensing to form a giant transparent amber, completely enveloping him and isolating him from the outer layer of dark-red flames.
