In City of Silver, at Derrick Berg's home.
Derrick, who had just relaxed, suddenly coughed violently, so much so that it felt as if his heart would split open.
Cough! Cough! Cough!
Derrick had to bend over, coughing continuously, until his throat tickled and he coughed out something!
A translucent worm, plop! It fell to the ground.
It was the size and thickness of a finger, with some completely transparent areas forming twelve circular rings around its body.
Derrick had seen something similar before, at the Round Tower Bottom, when the Chief cleaned up the former exploration team captain who had been turned into a clone by Amon.
He bent down and picked up the translucent worm, quietly examining its translucent body that had lost all signs of life.
What is it? What is it for? Derrick fell into deep thought.
On the vast Sonia Sea, waves continuously rose and fell, and a ghost ship sailed steadily on the surface of the sea, without the slightest shaking.
Inside the captain's cabin, Hanged Man Alger, dressed as a Storm Priest and holding a brass-colored metal sextant, was meditating with his eyes closed.
Silently, a smile appeared on his face.
"I've finally finished digesting it… There's still no sign of the Blue Shadow Falcon's crystalline feathers or the Dragon-Eyed Sea Eagle's eyeballs. I hope to receive some good news at the next Tarot Club meeting."
Alger opened his eyes and made a slight lifting motion with his hand, and suddenly, specks of azure appeared all around him.
They intersected and converged, forming a giant wave that swept forward.
Alger pressed his hands down, and the sweeping giant wave instantly disintegrated, turning into countless raindrops that scattered onto the deck.
During these four months of sailing, he continuously completed various tasks assigned by the Church and consciously explored new routes, searching for undiscovered islands.
This allowed him to gradually grasp the acting principle of a Seafarer: mastering routes and weather information; exploration and discovery!
Backlund, Empress Borough, inside Earl Hall's luxurious villa.
Audrey and Susie, the golden retriever sitting at her feet, were patiently and enjoyably studying psychology.
Sitting on the other side was Escalante, a member sent by the Psychology Alchemists to contact her!
"You truly have a talent in this area!"
Escalante did not hide her admiration for Audrey.
After saying this, she looked up at the ornate and complex clock hanging on the wall and smiled, saying:
"Time's up. Today's lesson ends here, Miss Audrey. If you are interested in this school of psychology, we can continue this topic next time."
"Okay." Audrey slightly lifted her skirt and stood up to bow.
As she watched the other party leave, she nodded thoughtfully:
Madam Escalante's performance doesn't seem like a true 'Psychiatrist'. At most, she's a 'Telepathist' like me.
What she just told me should be the basic theories of the Psychology Alchemists.
Sigh... Why haven't they invited me to join yet...
Susie, the golden retriever standing beside Audrey, shook her head and said very happily:
"Audrey, I feel like she's the same kind of person as us... No, the same kind of dog... That's not right... Woof!"
Susie, who had not yet mastered human language, fell into confusion and could only use a bark to cover her embarrassment.
Inside the house at 15 Minsk Street.
Klein, a bit clumsily, picked up the various ingredients he had just bought, preparing to make himself a plate of egg-fried rice.
After all the struggles with the kitchen utensils and the kitchen, he finally produced a pot of fragrant egg-fried rice, which, paired with cured meat and black tea, made him almost tear up from emotion.
"What a nostalgic and touching taste..."
Before Klein could even sigh, a silver spoon directly reached into the plate in front of him and scooped up a spoonful of egg-fried rice.
Klein looked up at Leyton, who had appeared silently in his room, his gaze following his spiritual intuition, and he glanced around. The layout of his dining room seemed to overlap with a familiar place.
"How did you do that?" Klein asked curiously.
Leyton scooped another spoonful of egg-fried rice from Klein's plate, smacked his lips as he swallowed it, and then licked his lips with a hint of lingering desire, saying:
"I haven't made any progress in my research on emotion and desire-based mysticism recently, so to ease the pressure, I turned to studying the spatial abilities of the Door pathway."
"It seems you've made good progress."
Klein looked around, roughly understanding that the other party had stitched and overlapped his study with his own dining room.
But why could he pull out a spoon in his study?!
Leyton leaned back in his chair and said in a very natural tone:
"I have a habit of eating snacks and desserts. My study is where I spend most of my time, so it's not strange to have some cutlery there."
Klein nodded silently, not wanting to discuss that topic with him, and instead said:
"Do you know of any suitable events or places for me to perform?"
"I'm a bit stumped on where to act as a Magician."
Leyton rubbed his chin with his right hand and said:
"A circus? The Red Angel Evil Spirit from that underground ruin of the Fourth Epoch's Tudor Dynasty? Or perhaps that little boy Will Auceptin, who brought bad luck to Dr. Aaron."
Klein was speechless for a moment, then said helplessly:
"The acting effect at a circus probably wouldn't be very good, and as for that Red Angel Evil Spirit, I need to perform, but I don't need to risk my life to perform."
"The strange child Will Auceptin, I'll ask Dr. Aaron about him at the Quelaag Club on Friday or Sunday!"
Seeing Klein analyze things so methodically, Leyton nodded slightly, pondering Backlund's storyline, and said:
"The Zmanger Gang, I was just thinking of testing some new mystical items on them recently. If you're interested, you can join."
"The Zmanger Gang?" Klein mused.
He was very familiar with this gang; when he first arrived in Backlund, he had been assassinated once by a Zmanger Gang 'Executioner' sent by the Intis Ambassador.
Knock knock!
The sound of knocking came from the living room Door.
"You have a visitor."
Leyton said softly, then raised his right hand and snapped his fingers, "Pop!"
His figure, the surrounding bookshelves, chairs, and other things that clearly did not belong in the dining room all disappeared.
In Cherwood Borough, Fors, troubled by the lack of gold pounds to purchase the potion materials needed for the Trickmaster, sped up the progress of her new book.
But writing is not something that can always be done just by wanting to; lacking inspiration, she rubbed her pen on the desk for a long time without being able to write a single word.
Fors, a bit annoyed, scratched her hair and decided to go for a walk to find inspiration.
As she walked, she unknowingly returned to a familiar place, a private clinic where she had first worked.
Gazing for a while, she remembered the old lady who had led her into the extraordinary world.
In a trance, she turned into the alley on the right and arrived at a nearby street.
Fors remembered that the old lady lived in the house at 39, and she used to occasionally visit to deliver medicine or give injections, and even help with some daily chores.
Fors walked under the plane trees that had few leaves left, slowly approaching the house at 39.
As she recalled some past experiences, she gradually found some writing inspiration.
Just then, she saw an old man in a thick woolen coat and a semi-tall black top hat standing in front of the house at 39, knocking on the Door three times.
After a few minutes, no one opened the Door. The old man with azure eyes shook his head, turned, and prepared to leave.
As he turned around, he saw Fors, who was standing not far away, looking in his direction.
He quickly stepped forward, walking over, and said with a gentle yet eager smile:
"Beautiful lady, do you live in this neighborhood? Do you know Laubero and Aulisa?"
Fors said with some hesitation:
"I don't know if the Mrs. Aulisa I know is the one you're looking for. She lived here for a long time, but she passed away three years ago."
"Passed away three years ago? What about Laubero?"
The old man in front of her immediately pressed.
Fors answered honestly: "Her husband passed away even earlier than her."
"Thank you, kind lady."
"I am Laubero's brother. I have always lived in Jian Sea County. Because I hadn't received any letters from them for too long, I decided to come and see."
"Could you tell me about their experiences during those years?"
Could Mrs. Aulisa's husband's brother be a descendant of the family she spoke of?
A sense of caution rose in Fors's heart. She suppressed her thoughts and responded with a smile:
"No problem."
The old man's azure eyes scanned the surroundings, then he pointed to his side and back:
"There's a good coffee shop there."
