It wasn't until late at night that Klein opened his eyes from his doze.
"It's about time; let's go!"
After a slight nod, Leyton stepped forward two paces and placed his hand on Klein's shoulder, preparing to enter the Spirit World directly.
"Thump Thump"
The closed door was knocked upon, and before Leyton could open it, he heard Destiny's voice:
"I've received a revelation: if you can acquire that extremely sinister item tonight, there will be an additional development."
Leyton, who had been about to open the door, paused. He could sense that Destiny had left the doorway after speaking.
He turned around and exchanged glances with Klein, then said, "I probably know what that sinister item is!"
"What is it?" Klein asked with some curiosity.
"Some remnants of the True Creator!"
After saying this, without waiting for Klein's reaction, Leyton took two steps forward, grabbed Klein's wrist, and stepped directly into the Spirit World.
When they reappeared, the two were already at the Docks, located at the pier.
After a brief glance at their surroundings, Leyton pulled Klein back into the Spirit World, then reappeared on a nearby clock tower.
"The Church of the Evernight Goddess's operation doesn't seem to have started yet," Leyton said, observing their surroundings.
"Hmm, let's wait a bit," Klein nodded lightly, his emotions appearing very restrained.
Leyton said nothing more, his eyes glowing with a faint bluish-white light. He reached out and made a pulling motion in the shadow in front of him. That patch of shadow was dragged as if it were substantial, then covered their bodies, concealing their figures, auras, and all traces of their existence.
Klein tilted his head slightly and looked at Leyton, saying with some surprise, "Is this a Shadow Ascetic's ability? You seem to have analyzed many Beyonder abilities."
"It used to be. After I advanced to Mysticism Magister, I adjusted this Beyonder ability, incorporating some Concealment abilities from the Darkness Pathway."
"When I was at sea in the first half of the year, I caused trouble everywhere just to record more Beyonder abilities. Unfortunately, most of those pirates were from the Hunter and Sailor Pathways."
Leyton replied with considerable pride.
Klein looked at the guy next to him, whose True name he still didn't know, with a complicated expression. This person was exceptionally talented at causing trouble and lightening the mood; his own serious emotions had been completely disrupted by him.
Klein couldn't resist his curiosity and asked the question that had been on his mind:
"What is your true name? You don't have to say if you don't want to, I'm just a little curious about your true identity."
Leyton glanced at Klein, whose expression had become serious again, and smacked his lips, saying, "Leyton Soth. The identity I'm using now is also me. The only difference is that one is wanted, and the other isn't."
"As for my identity, I guess you could say I'm an employee of the Knowledge Moor stationed at the Church of the God of Knowledge and Wisdom, moonlighting as a pirate on the Future and the White Tower at the Tarot Club."
"You have quite a few identities!" Klein exclaimed.
He had thought he had pretty much guessed the other party's identities, but it turned out the other party had even more identities than he had guessed.
"Very much a transmigrator?" Leyton finished Klein's unspoken sentence.
"You…" Klein was startled.
He thought the other party was about to reveal their identity as a Transmigrator, but he hadn't figured out how he had been exposed.
"They're here!" Leyton interrupted Klein's unspoken words, gazing into the distance. A massive, dark-painted airship was flying towards them. The airship's propellers rotated silently, not making a sound.
"We can talk; no need to be too nervous. I've done some concealment," Leyton reminded Klein, who had subtly slowed his breathing beside him.
No sooner had he spoken than Leyton felt Klein's breathing hitch, then immediately resume, as if nothing had happened, though his gaze towards Leyton held a hint of resentment.
Leyton defended himself, "We were just chatting, I didn't have time to say, and you didn't ask about these things!"
Klein exhaled slowly, his eyes fixed on the dark-painted airship, and said, "No sound, it must have been handled with Beyonder abilities. But this is a densely populated City. Sending an airship here, aren't they afraid of causing widespread accidental injury to the surrounding citizens?"
"The Darkness Pathway is very good at Concealment abilities. As for accidental injury, there must be related Beyonder abilities or Sealed Artifacts to deal with it, or perhaps they won't even be needed." Leyton offered a reasonable guess after some thought.
The airship began to descend slowly after approaching, finally hovering about ten meters in the air.
Three figures in black trench coats quietly appeared in front of the brick-red building where Lanevus was located. Klein watched the leader closely.
The next moment, Klein's vision was blocked by Leyton's outstretched hand. Seeing Klein turn his head, Leyton withdrew his hand and said, "Don't stare at them continuously. Although I've done some concealment, this is only for ourselves. Too intense a gaze will still alert them."
"I understand." Klein nodded slightly, then continued to observe the movements ahead, though this time his gaze became softer and more casual.
"Want to see what's happening inside that house?" Leyton asked.
"Can I?" Klein tilted his head to look at the young man standing beside him.
"Relax, don't resist." Leyton nodded slightly and said, then his eyes burst forth with bright purple light, his gaze penetrating all obstructions to see what was happening in the Mirror World created by Sealed Artifact 1-63.
He gently patted Klein's left shoulder, and under Klein's puzzled gaze, Leyton's eyes, filled with purple light, met Klein's, sharing the scene he saw with Klein.
"This is called Real-time Imaging 2.0, a Mysticism Spell I developed when I was bored. It allows for establishing a connection through eye contact and transmitting the images in one's mind."
Leyton gazed at the brick-red building ahead, peering through the walls and the Mirror World's isolation to observe what was happening inside.
Through the spell's connection, the scene Leyton saw also appeared in Klein's mind.
The Nighthawks squad led by His Excellency Cesimir, the Sword of the Goddess, was clashing with a "Giant," but the battle scene was somewhat bizarre. The Giant's attacks always missed the three Nighthawks by a hair's breadth, consistently failing to truly strike them.
"What a strange ability, is it probability or luck?" Klein whispered.
"Misfortune. The Darkness Pathway, or rather, the Darkness Pathway, has a Sequence called Knight of Misfortune." Leyton provided the answer.
The battle in the Mirror World went exceptionally smoothly. Cesimir's bone sword plunged into the flesh-permeated ground, and the "Giant" who had transformed into flesh and merged with the ground only managed to condense a face filled with despair.
As Cesimir's surrounding shadows writhed, three more Beyonders from the Aurora Order were shot and killed by the Nighthawks.
Just as Klein was about to exclaim about the Nighthawks' strength, Lanevus's figure appeared in his mind's view, slowly descending the dim staircase.
Lanevus exchanged a few words with Cesimir, then suddenly tore open the linen shirt he was wearing, revealing the deep red flesh on his chest and abdomen where there was no skin.
The scene in Klein's mind had been filtered by Leyton, so he didn't detect the aura of the True Creator.
But he saw the space around His Excellency Cesimir and the others in his vision shatter like glass, and the sudden disappearance of the image in his mind.
Klein looked nervously at Leyton beside him; the sudden change just now clearly indicated something had gone wrong.
Leyton endured a headache and wiped away a stream of bloody tears flowing from his eyes. As a Mystery Pryer, he could see more things, which also caused him to suffer the most severe damage among everyone present.
Having lost the vision provided by Leyton, Klein couldn't see what was happening inside the house, but he saw the gas streetlights in that area extinguish one by one.
That area became completely dark, and a feeling that left a profound impression on him erupted there.
It was the feeling of fundamentally overlooking and crushing all living beings.
"Al? Are you alright?!" Klein reached out to support the slightly swaying Leyton, suppressing the trembling of his own body and soul, and asked.
Wiping away the bloody tears flowing from his eyes, Leyton was surprised to find that the True Creator's aura couldn't significantly affect him.
To be precise, it couldn't affect his mind; his body would still tremble because of it.
After a while, having somewhat accustomed himself to the physical discomfort, Leyton finally spoke, "I'm fine. Seeing the True Creator's projection, a Mystery Pryer can see more things, which caused me some degree of damage. Thankfully, I frequently interact with the Hidden Sage, so this level of damage is still within tolerable limits."
"How could this happen?" Klein felt his teeth chattering as he spoke.
The next moment, he felt an emptiness beside him. Turning his head, he found Al gone.
Klein frowned, instinctively believing that Al had entered the brick-red building.
"That extremely sinister item? An additional development?" Klein recalled the hint given by the mysterious old man before they set off.
