When the intuitive premonition exploded in Leyton's mind, a Sailor's knife made of white bone was already pressing against his back.
Despair and regret instantly flooded Leyton's mind.
"Tsk~" The Sailor's knife made of white bone was blocked by a layer of frost that suddenly spread, and the frost continued to spread backward with the knife.
Leyton paused, then stepped forward and turned around. He made a gesture of holding and slashing with both hands, and an exaggerated greatsword composed of crimson magma and light blue flames appeared in his hand, striking down fiercely.
Behind Leyton, a bald man holding a Sailor's knife made of white bone had eyes full of madness and astonishment. He hadn't yet understood what was happening before he was split open by the magma sword.
Leyton withdrew his hands, then swung the magma sword horizontally again, cutting both the undead behind him and the bald man's corpse in half.
"Sia! What are you doing?!" A venomous voice rang out among the undead.
"Of course, I think this young man is quite handsome, and it would be too much of a pity for him to die like this, so it's better for that bald man to die instead!"
A casual voice with a unique charm came from behind Frank.
The undead that concealed her figure were instantly burned to ashes by black flames, leaving no trace of even ash.
Frank quickly withdrew from that area, his gaze vigilantly fixed on the red-haired woman who had suddenly appeared behind him. Several seeds silently fell from his body.
"Big red-haired…" Bugs Bunny's words were cut short as Leyton kicked him away.
These guys using the undead to conceal their figures and auras was something Leyton hadn't anticipated at all, but now the Spirit Medium hidden in the shadows was finally exposed.
"Fallen," a demonic word full of defilement and Fallen intent rang out.
At the location where the venomous voice had previously sounded, the surrounding area showed signs of abyssalization. The surfaces of the undead were covered with a slightly viscous black liquid, which then burst, shattered, and transformed into a Fallen black mist.
"He's already moved to hide somewhere else, my foolish big boy!"
The red-haired Sia teased.
Leyton didn't respond, his Eyes of Mystery Prying scanning the entire scene. The dense undead aura obscured too many traces, and Leyton still couldn't find the Spirit Medium's hiding place.
"Be careful, everyone!" Leyton warned aloud.
Then, from the floating ring behind him, countless wails seemed to echo, and light blue flames with a strong smell of sulfur slid from Leyton's hands like liquid.
Leyton half-crouched, pressing his hands to the ground. The light blue flames rapidly spread outward, their color changing from light blue to blue-green, and a foul odor mixed with the strong smell of sulfur.
The flames quickly covered the entire deck, then surged violently, engulfing the undead floating in the air as well. The flames glowed with an eerie green light on the undead. After erupting, these flames immediately subsided and dissipated.
With the enhancement of the ring behind him, Leyton simultaneously used three fire-based spells mastered by demons: Manipulate Poison Flame, Toxic Steam, and Volcanic Eruption.
After this burst, ninety percent of the undead on the deck were wiped out, at the cost of Leyton's spirituality being almost completely depleted.
Bugs Bunny, Paz, and Frank's bodies were covered with a layer of ice crystals the moment the flames erupted, protecting them.
"You kid, you're really as reckless and impulsive as ever! If I weren't here, were you planning on eating roasted rabbit or roasted black cat?!"
After the flames subsided, Sia's voice said with some helplessness.
"Hehe! Isn't it because you're here, Miss Sia, that I dared to do this?!"
Leyton rubbed his head, showing an innocent expression.
The ring behind him, without extra spiritual support, turned into specks of light and vanished.
"Stop laughing, didn't you notice that this fire of yours only burned away a bunch of small fries?"
Sia walked across the deck, then explained further:
"It's not very difficult for necromancers to Pass through walls using undead creatures. Unless you burn this entire ship down, it won't affect him."
"Uh, so what do we do now?"
Leyton was a bit helpless. The Spirit Medium he encountered on the ferry before hadn't shown the ability to Pass through walls, leading to a judgment Error.
"Wait, he'll come back on his own," Sia said with certainty in her voice.
The deck, having been cleansed by the flames, creaked under Sia's footsteps, leaving a trail of debris with every step. Some lucky undead and crew members who hadn't suffered too much damage were each given a dark black flame by Sia.
"Ah!"
A figure covered in bloody scratches stumbled out of the cabin.
"When did you poison me?!" The disheveled figure only managed to say this much.
Countless white bones emerged from the water bottle at his waist, rapidly merging with him. A giant, knife-wielding bone general figure was assembled.
Several black, illusory flames attached themselves to the white bones, integrating into the body of this giant bone general.
"Ah~"
The whispers and screams of the undead exploded in Leyton's ears.
The screams of this giant bone general in front of him actually carried some of the effects of the Language of the Dead. Leyton felt his soul trembling.
Frank, on the other side, also covered his ears, the fur on his body wriggling up and down as if greatly stimulated.
Bugs Bunny and Paz, the two small animals, directly covered their ears and rolled on the ground in pain.
Only Sia, as if unaffected, slowly stepped forward, leaning back with her arms spread, appearing to embrace the sun. A magnificent, pure, and blazing pillar of light descended from the sky, enveloping the giant bone general.
The dazzling light made Leyton instinctively close his eyes for a moment. The giant bone general's screams in his ears seemed to be melting away, constantly weakening, and even the effect of the Language of the Dead could not be maintained.
The effect of the Holy Light did not last too long, but the very next moment after the Holy Light ended, golden illusory flames ignited out of thin air, emitting a vast and pervasive aura of the sun.
Leyton felt his scalp tingle looking at the dense Light of Dawn. This rich solar aura made Leyton feel very uncomfortable, even just wearing a demonic emblem.
After the Light of Dawn burned, the giant bone general directly turned to ash, leaving only a human-shaped charred remains with a faint breath.
"So tenacious a life force?" Leyton was somewhat surprised.
This Spirit Medium, who had transformed into an undead creature, had not died even after undergoing the cleansing of the Holy Light and the Light of Dawn, although his current state was not far from death.
"As a Beyonder, one always finds ways to protect their life. You're not a barbarian of the Storm, so don't be too reckless in your actions!"
Sia explained, and then lectured Leyton a bit.
"You use your demonic abilities to kill him!"
Sia turned and moved away from the area filled with the smell of charring.
"Ah? Why?" Leyton was a bit confused.
"To cover up this strong solar aura."
Sia had already walked to the edge of the ship's rail, breathing in the fresh air as she spoke.
Leyton was somewhat puzzled. Sia could do this herself, so why ask him to do it, but he didn't ask further.
"Death," a voice full of defilement and Fallen intent rang out.
The charred remains lying on the ground, with only a faint breath remaining, felt its heart being brutally squeezed by an invisible hand, stained with mottled red rust, and then ignited with sulfur-smelling flames.
These charred remains turned into a charred corpse, and the strong smell of sulfur dispelled the lingering solar aura on him.
After dealing with this unknown Spirit Medium, Leyton also went to the ship's rail to get some fresh air.
Leyton's previous demonic spells had filled the entire deck with a strong smell of sulfur and charring. Although some of it was purified by Sia's Holy Light, it was limited to the area around the Spirit Medium's corpse.
"What was that ring behind you just now? It seemed to enhance your spell abilities, but it doesn't look like a mystical item or a special spell," Sia asked curiously.
"A new system mastered by the Church!" Leyton didn't say too much.
The battle on the other smuggling ship also seemed to have ended. Cattleya transformed into sparkling starlight, quickly appearing beside Leyton and Frank.
"Demonic fire-based spells, and traces of Sun domain spells!"
Cattleya scanned the environment on the deck, then her gaze fell on Sia.
Sia met Cattleya's gaze without losing any momentum, and Leyton, standing to the side, felt sparks flying between their eyes.
"Frank, do you think they'll start fighting?"
Leyton retreated to Frank's side and whispered.
"No!" Cattleya's voice said coolly.
"Oh, little…"
"My name is Al Tines, and I'm currently a sailor on the Future!"
Leyton immediately interrupted Sia's next words, which would have revealed his real name.
"Is that so? Al, you don't even bother with basic disguise and run off to sea to be a pirate. Are you sure your parents won't find out?"
Sia quickly changed her address and spoke again.
"Uh, I wish I could, but I don't know how to do makeup, nor do I have any mystical items with that kind of ability. Anyway, I don't have a bounty on my head, so it's not a big problem," Leyton said, half-explaining and half-comforting himself.
