Leyton followed Cattleya and met most of the crew on the Future, including Heath Doyle, the "Bloodless" who advanced directly from an ordinary person to Sequence 6.

Leyton felt that compared to the lucky ones of the Monster pathway, people like Heath were the truly fortunate ones. No, such a level of fortunate person should be called a winner!

"You have a different emotion when facing Heath; did you know him before?" Cattleya suddenly asked while walking on the deck of the Future.

"Ah? No, I don't know him. I just know some information about him. When I saw him, I thought of two unlucky individuals from the Fate pathway who haven't been able to advance."

Leyton didn't expect Cattleya's observation to be so keen. Compared to her, he really didn't seem like a Beyonder of the Mystery Pryer pathway at all.

"Unlucky individuals from the Fate pathway?"

Cattleya was very interested in Leyton's description. Walking on a pathway that symbolized fate, yet still being called unlucky.

"Exactly. After all, the talents of each pathway are in other pathways—hmm, except for Marauder!"

Leyton suddenly became interested and made a small joke in front of Admiral of Stars.

"Hmm? Why do you say that?" Cattleya was very interested in Leyton's words.

"Haha, I'll tell you if I get a chance to meet them later!"

Leyton ended the topic with a laugh, feeling that continuing this discussion might not be good.

"I hope you'll remember that when the time comes. This is your room. If you need anything, you can go directly to Frank." Cattleya stopped and pointed to a room ahead.

After bringing Leyton to his room, Cattleya turned and left.

Leyton looked around the room. It wasn't large, but it was fully equipped, completely sufficient for the daily life of one person and one rabbit.

After closing the door, Leyton placed the leather briefcase he was holding on the table next to the wall, took out ritual silver pens and candles, and then began to set up the ritual.

Because Leyton would likely perform this kind of ritual frequently in the Future, he simply didn't set up a Wall of Spirituality to block external observation, which could also increase Cattleya's trust in him.

This ritual was modified by Leyton from the ritual of sacrifice and bestowal, inspired by Mr. Hughes's previous incarnation as a crow taking things from the Spirit World.

Leyton used his connection with the Library deep within the Spirit World as his storage place for items.

Of course, Leyton had already greeted Mr. Hughes in advance, and he would not treat the items he stored in the Library as trash and throw them away.

Through ritual magic, Leyton quickly established a connection with the Library deep within the Spirit World, then retrieved a pile of books and a suitcase from there.

As the ritual was about to end, Leyton seemed to hear Mr. Hughes's words from the Library.

"The next exam will cover knowledge of Spirit World creatures. You should start reading!"

Leyton was stunned for a moment. It seemed his learning progress was so slow that Mr. Hughes couldn't stand it anymore and directly gave him the scope of the exam.

In the captain's cabin on the other side, the starlight in Cattleya's eyes dissipated, replaced by a look of curiosity and surprise.

She had noticed when Leyton began the ritual, but due to his background, she didn't interrupt. Instead, she used her connection with the Future to remotely observe Leyton's situation.

When she saw Leyton retrieve a pile of books and a suitcase from the Spirit World through a peculiar ritual, Cattleya was momentarily stunned. This was the first time she had seen someone use the Spirit World as an item storage.

Cattleya was very interested in this peculiar ritual magic. However, seeing the pile of books Leyton had taken out, she figured he was probably preparing to read, so she didn't go over to disturb him for now.

"In the Church of the God of Knowledge and Wisdom, do Sequence 7 Beyonders still fail exams? Beyonders of the Reader Pathway should be stronger in learning ability than Mystery Pryers who don't have knowledge pursuers."

Cattleya muttered to herself and didn't think much more about it.

Leyton, who was organizing books in his room, encountered a new problem. There wasn't much knowledge related to the Spirit World in the books he had prepared, and even fewer that introduced Spirit World creatures.

"Mr. Hughes wouldn't have prepared the exam content based on these books of mine, would he?!" Leyton conspiratorially thought to himself.

"No choice, I can only ask the captain to borrow some. As a Beyonder of the Seer pathway, Cattleya should have plenty of books." After Leyton thought of a solution, he was no longer too worried about the exam.

He organized and categorized the books he had taken from the Spirit World, taking out all three books that contained Spirit World knowledge.

While flipping through the books introducing the Spirit World, Leyton suddenly thought of a problem: books involving Spirit World knowledge all have a certain degree of mental corruption and cannot be read for long periods.

"In this state, I can't master a large amount of Spirit World knowledge in such a short time by myself, even if the Spirit World Sorcerer system has some resistance in this regard. It would be great if someone could help me read."

Leyton helplessly ruffled his hair, feeling that Mr. Hughes's make-up exam was just making things difficult for him.

"Boss, let's go to the party! Frank said there's a welcome ceremony for joining the ship today! We can eat lots of delicious food!"

Bugs Bunny rushed in, interrupting Leyton's thoughts.

"Welcome ceremony? There's that too?"

Leyton was puzzled for a moment. He felt it was more like the crew members of the Future wanted to have a party themselves, and the welcome ceremony was just an excuse.

"Yes, yes, let's go quickly! Frank brought lots of fruits and mushrooms to the deck!" Bugs Bunny turned around and tugged at Leyton's pant leg.

"Ingredients provided by Frank?" Leyton suddenly didn't want to attend this so-called welcome ceremony.

Although Frank's things wouldn't kill anyone, they were indeed a bit hard to swallow.

In the end, Leyton was still dragged out by Bugs Bunny. After all, it was under the guise of welcoming new people, so as a newcomer, Leyton still had to attend.

Many tables were pieced together on the deck, with barrels of rum, some seafood, and a small amount of fruit on top. The crew members of the Future also brought many stools, and a large group of pirates sat scattered on the deck, drinking and chatting.

It looked disorderly but had a great atmosphere.

"Yo, our new crew member is here! Come on, come on! Have a drink!"

Nina was the first to notice Leyton walking with Bugs Bunny. She quickly stepped forward and shoved a cup full of liquor into Leyton's hand.

"Special dried fish!" A somewhat familiar voice sounded behind Nina.

Leyton shifted two steps to the side and saw the figure blocked by Nina. It was a black cat with black fur, a red collar around its neck, and a small fishbone pendant hanging from it.

"Paz-meow! You and Ilisa went out to be pirates?" Leyton asked with a puzzled face.

He didn't expect the black cat Nina mentioned to actually be Paz. However, being a pirate didn't seem to fit the style at all, especially in someone else's pirate group.

"It's Paz, no meow!"

Paz walked over, holding a piece of dried fish whose shape was indistinguishable, and handed it to Bugs Bunny, who was also a Beyonder animal.

"Ilisa and I got separated at a port. I've now joined the Star Pirates!" Paz said dejectedly.

But Paz quickly changed his tone and said, "Are you here to bring me special dried fish?"

It was a little sad about getting lost, but not too much.

It was clear that he was doing very well in the Star Pirates and was almost forgetting his owner, or perhaps his former owner.

Leyton was speechless for a moment. Compared to its owner, this cat truly thrived wherever it went!

"No dried fish, because I haven't received any letters, your share of dried fish has already been fed to the rabbit," Leyton casually fabricated.

Bugs Bunny thought back carefully and realized he had never eaten dried fish. He looked at his boss with a surprised expression, suspecting that his boss also kept other rabbits.

"You even lie to a cat! Stupid rabbits don't eat meat!"

Paz didn't believe Leyton's words at all.

But the next moment, he was swatted away by Bugs Bunny's paw. Bugs Bunny held a toy cane and pretended to be a gentleman, propping it on the ground.

"Stupid black cat, how dare you say rabbits are stupid!"

Bugs Bunny glanced at Paz and said with disdain.

"Meow!" Paz let out a majestic cat cry.

Bugs Bunny, who had been posing as a gentleman, instantly felt his legs go weak, then timidly ran behind Leyton and hugged his pant leg.

Leyton noticed that Paz's meow was more authoritative than when he had encountered the Clown before. It seemed this cat was indeed doing very well at sea.

"Have you finished digesting the Arbiter potion?"

Leyton stopped Paz, who still wanted to fight Bugs Bunny, and asked curiously.

"Yes, I digested it not long after joining the Star Pirates!"

When Paz saw Bugs Bunny cower into a ball from his meow, he no longer wanted to continue teaching this overconfident rabbit a lesson.

"The party has already started. Since you know these two Beyonder creatures, you can be responsible for looking after them! Drinking too much makes one go crazy, whether it's a person or a cat!"

Cattleya had emerged from the captain's cabin at some point.
