Chapter 2 - Return of the Ghost

London shimmered under the weight of its own wealth—skyscrapers gleamed, limousines whispered past, and power moved behind glass walls. But beneath all that shine, the city's shadows still remembered her name. *JadeWilson* was back.

The black Mercedes slowed in front of the Light Group headquarters, its chrome logo catching the morning light like a blade. Jade stepped out, legs long in stilettos, hair cascading like silk down her back, a pair of designer sunglasses hiding the fire in her eyes.

Six years. Six long years since that night—*promnight*. Since three golden boys stole her innocence, her voice, and nearly her life. But the girl they broke was gone. In her place stood a woman built from wrath, pain, and strategy. And this time, she wasn't invisible.

She walked through the grand lobby like she owned it. People turned. Some whispered. A few stared too long. She didn't blink. Her forged résumé and fake name—*JaylaMonroe*—had already bought her a spot as the new executive assistant to Lauren De-Light himself.

The elevator ride was silent. Jade looked at her reflection in the mirrored walls, remembering the blood on her high school dress, the numbness that followed, the way her grandmother had hidden her away and raised her in silence. But Jade had never forgotten. And now… it was time.

The doors opened. A sharp, masculine voice cut through.

"You're late."

He was more dangerous in person. *LaurenDe-Light*—taller than she remembered, eyes like winter storms, lips curled in amusement and arrogance. His office was glass, metal, and dominance.

"I was early. You just didn't know it," Jade replied, cool as ice.

His brows lifted, intrigued. "You've got fire. Let's see if you last."

She smiled—but it didn't reach her eyes. *You won't see me coming.*

Downstairs, in the parking garage, another figure leaned against a matte black Ducati, watching the cameras from a hacked tablet. *Kelz De-Light*. Illegitimate. Unwanted. Forgotten. But not for long.

His jaw clenched as Jade walked across the screen. She was back. And he remembered her. *Ice cream, laughter, bruises… prom.* His family destroyed her. Just like they destroyed his mother.

The game had begun. And in this game?

*Someone was going to bleed.*
