Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

It was quite apparent, the ceremony had to come to an abrupt end as nothing was left to enjoy anymore. And hence, alphas who had luckily found their mates left satisfied with their achievement whiles those who didn't went on to search for them in other neighbouring parks.

Alpha Golden was surprised, almost shocked as to how things had made such an unexpected turn. His two girls after the chaos they'd created had somehow for some reason accepted to go with their mates. He was sure Rica had just forcefully followed the supreme alpha just to ensure her sister's safety, although Alpha Rica was his next kin to rule, he hadn't bothered holding her back as he knew she'd return when things have finally settled on their side. These youngsters, he couldn't help but grimace at his daughters indiscipline starting a war the first time you meet your mate, when did the world come to this?

Alpha Golden had been worried about his daughters affairs with the omega and the other alpha king, he knew more than anyone how much his daughters had been devoted to such unruly relations. He was afraid they were one day going to cause trouble and forcefully reject their mates and break the rules. But it seems they weren't as far gone as he thought they were, he was glad he didn't have to deal with such troublesome matter.

Luna also thought same as he watched her daughters getting ready to leave their birth homes, "they were all grown up now" ... She thought.

Outside, the two omegas stood side by side with their mates preventing another fight from ensuing. For Loisa, she just couldn't understand why all of the sudden her sister seemed so overprotective of her. After all they'd rarely spent time together, she was either training or spending her time cuddling with alpha Deman. In anyway she wasn't ready to let her sister die at the hands of her mate, she couldn't handle such grief.

On the other hand, Jeren still maintained a calm and collected face occasionally shooting warning glares at his brother. He knew what his brother was thinking, after all he's also heard so much of the reckless Alpha who'd stomped her foot on the face of an elder and had gone scot-free. But he wasn't about to allow his brother get rid of his mate without verifying for himself if she was worth it or not. Plus he wasn't ready to live the rest of his life mateless after all there was nothing like a second chance mate after one allows his mate to be killed.

Rica!... A voice called from the crowd behind them, trotting to their side. Deman who had just arrived looked at Rica and then at the Adonis like omega beside her, so that was him, the supreme alpha's brother and also Rica's mate. The thought if Rica being someone else's made him grind his teeth in displeasure however knowing Rica was not going to be alone after he'd found his mate made him feel relieved. Also he knew his place, he couldn't go after someone's mate now and the low threatening growls from the alpha on the other side made him more aware of that. And so with a smile on his face, he looks into the eyes of the she-wolf who ones held his heart. They'd both so readily let go of each other he had come to realize it was because somewhere in their subconsciousness they knew and had always known they were never going to belong to each other.

Yet that didn't mean they hadn't felt love and affection towards the other, maybe that's what was holding him back from marking his own mate somewhere in his heart he couldn't let go of the feelings he had for Rica. But now seeing as she'd found her own mate, he realized why he had held on so tight, he was feeling guilty. Guilty because he had let her down, he had found his mate and didn't dare reject her even when he claimed to love her, guilt of being unable to tell her that he did untill she figured it out herself.

Rica's eyes twinkled back reflecting a response to the explanations his gave hers. She understood him, she really didn't mean for him to feel guilt after all they both knew it would come down to this, she was saddened by the realization, but most of her rage rooted from the feeling of being lonely after he'd left to go along with his mate.

Deman's eyes looked at hers and they looked comforting as though telling her, it's all gonna be okay now, you found a mate too , you're not going to be lonely."

Rica looked behind Deman to see the green eyed omega, Deman's mate. She looks back at him and then back at her, he understands and follows her gaze staring at his own mate who'd he had caused so much trouble and heartache since she found him. He hadn't marked her yet, he refused to, even when he knew that'd slowly kill them both, that was how messed up he had been these past few weeks.

He looks back at Rica, only to find her raising an eyebrow at him, and smiling whiles her eyes flew from him to his mate clearly stating he definitely likes this omega mate of his.

He gave a goofy grin and shrugged, meaning it wasn't within his control. Rica nodded, she also knew what the mate bond did to mates.

Rica have this..." Finally their wordless conversation came to an end as he extended his hand to Rica. In his palm was a pearly white canine. It belonged to a snow wolf. His mother. The people around could tell what that was after all the power it emanated even though it was just a fragmented piece of a dead snow wolf could not be ignored.

It was his mother's. Deman's mother was a snow wolf. In every few generations and abnormality was made into the supernatural world they say they are the messengers of the moon goddess. They held abnormal strength and could only be weakened by their other halves, their mates. Deman grimaced at the thought of his mother, his only perception of her being her abnormal strength and power had been the soul cause of all his loss. If only his mother hadn't been mated to his father. He wanted to share this with Rica, he hoped it was precious enough to make her remember him while she was away. Rica stared at the item in Deman's hand she was well informed and knew how worthy that item was.

She also knew that although Deman's always putting on a front about how he hates his mother, he actually wishes she could be here with him. And no matter how he pretends this Canine meant nothing to him, he actually cherished it.
