At night....
The whole village were celebrating the grand fest. Lots of foods were displayed and the crowd were enjoying. Luna urges Lucas to socialize but the king himself is shy and just want to remain on his chair till the feast is on. "Hey, don't be like that!" She said. "Come and have fun with us!" Luna grabbed his arm and dragged him. He stood up and Luna take him to the others.
"Oh? If it isn't the guests! Hello!!!" Villager(1) greets and Luna wave back. "What's the name of this tall warrior, Lady Luna?" Luna looked at him. "He is Lucas Licasffia. A Lunacy Islander."
"Woah?! Lunacy??! That's pretty damn far! How did you arrived here, lad?" Villager(2) asks but Lucas couldn't speak and just hides behind Luna. "I'm so sorry, Lucas here is just shy to interact at the moment." Luna apologized. "No need to apologize dear." Villager(3) reassured.
"And"— oh??! You two looks great each other!" Villager(4) giggles. "He somehow reminds me of your Father, Luna!" Luna's shocked. "Eh??! How come??!" The villagers chuckled. "Your father, Theodorius, is also shy, just like that man! And the one who does the talking is your mother!" Both villagers giggles. "Can't believe I'll get to experience such lovebirds once more." Luna's blushing. "Sto— stop that!"
"Anyways, the grand fest is going to start soon. Let's enjoy while we still can!" Villager(2) excitedly said. "Anyway Luna & Lucas, we gotta go now." Luna smiled. "Thank you everyone!" She turned her attention to Lucas. "Luna, what's Lovebirds? Why are they referring us to it?" Lucas is curious and Luna blushes. "That doesn't.... matter...!" She stuttered. "The grand fest is about to start... Let's go!" Later, the grand fest started and everyone, especially Lucas, enjoyed eating.
At 10 o'clock at night....
Lucas and Luna were sitting at the bench. She's frowning and the king noticed. "What's wrong Luna? You look— sad? Didn't you like the food?" Luna shakes her head. "No, it's just that— we have no house to sleep on." She answered. "My mother's house is burned down and I have nothing to live anymore." Luna's hands were shaking and he noticed it so, he wraps his arm to her waist and draws her close to him. "It's okay, I'm here for you."
Luna looked at him with a sadness in her eyes. She then smiled and lean on him. "Thank you, Lucas." The two of them were peacefully minding their own business but then— "Luna? What a surprise I stumbled upon you!" The Soothsayer came and passed by. "The Soothsayer?! What are you doing here?" Luna's brows rises.
"I'm on my way to my house but I didn't expect to stumble upon you." She's glad to see her but the time she took glance of Lucas, she remembered her vision she had with Luna. "That guy from my vision...." she wondered. "Dear Luna, I heard what happened to your house and I'm sorry to hear that." Luna slowly break free from Lucas. "Well, the accidents already happened so I have nothing to do to stop it."
"Luna, and— this guy right here must be Lucas from Lunacy Island, right?" Luna nods. "Yes, he is." The Soothsayer smiled. "You two can live with with me." She offered. "My house is small but it is enough to cater 3 person." Luna gasped. "Come, dear Luna and you too, Sir Lucas."
"Tha— thank you so much miss Soothsayer!" And so, they headed towards the Soothsayer's home.
Inside the house....
"I have 1 vacant bedroom, you two should sleep there. And don't worry, whatever you need is already there." Luna bows. "Thank you once again for your hospitality, Miss Soothsayer." Lucas wanted to speak but then— "Oh? What is it Sir Lucas?"
"Thank you for.... taking us in." The Soothsayer smiles. "Oh, it was nothing."
Meanwhile...
Luna is finally asleep while Lucas looks troubled. "Humans sleeps at night time. A perfect opportunity to head back to my Kingdom but— I heard that infernals likes to attack this type of hours for it is the moment where humans were at their weakest state." He mumbled as he grasped his head. "What should I do? Now that I unleashed the Rogue Infernals to this realm, danger is surely imminent. I only endangered the mortal realm than my father & grandpa!"
Suddenly, the soothsayer came in and it made Lucas flinch. "Troubled sleeping, O King of the Void Realm?" He's expression tells Doom. "Ho— how did you know?" She smiled. "Didn't you hear what Luna said? I'm a soothsayer...! I saw and knew you from dear Luna's fate." She answered. "Rest assured, Void King. I mean no harm. I just wanted to talk to you." Lucas looked at Luna. "You saw me from Luna's fate?" She then nods. "It is and let's discuss this matter at the entrance. We don't want to disturb Luna's peaceful sleep, yaknow?" Lucas stood up and headed to the entrance.
There, the Soothsayer served a freshly brewed tea. "I don't know what your kind usually eat aside from flesh but I do hope you—?" Lucas interrupted. "I have no interest in feasting flesh. As long as it's safe and edible, I'll eat it."
"What a rare breed of Infernal, you are." The Soothsayer's surprised. "Anyway, I only know who you are but what brings the Void King here in this realm is out of my reach. Would his highness humbly tell this decrepit old lady about his reasons?" Lucas is hesitating. "I've unleashed a great number of Rogue Infernals down in your realm, the World of Mortals." He speaks. "I... I had no intention of causing harm. It was all but an accident from my outburst. I.. I didn't mean to plunge this world into chaos. I swear...!"
"Rogue Infernals?" The Soothsayer's clueless. "You, mortals, majority refer all Tophet's creatures as infernals but there are many kind of us. The Tophet Domain is sectioned into 3 layers, The Surface, the Chasm, and lastly the Abyss. Each layer has their own infernals." He explains. "But the type of infernals that invaded your world is the Abyss, the Void Realm creatures."
"The Void realm has 2 types of Infernals; the void kingdom residents known as Swarm, and Rogue ones. The Void King Residents, also known as the Swarm, are a type of infernals who cannot cooperate without a leader. I'm sure you already encountered them to my deceased parents. Without a leader or King to lead, they'll be driven into chaos." Lucas is troubled. "So that explains the uneasiness you had then? You want to go back?" Lucas nods and the soothsayer rubs her chin.
"As for the Rogue Ones, they're the type of infernals who operates without a leader. All they ever think of is saving their lives from turning into cinders from the last realm, the Hellfire. Due to their nature, they develop a behavior of a ravage beast. They're bloodthirsty, violent, and way superior than those of Swarm Infernals." Lucas lowered his head. "Now that I unleashed their numbers down to this realm, I came here to resolve the problem but I was wrong. This realm is vast and the problem I've caused is too disastrous that I want to end it with my own hands."
"I see. I understand." The soothsayer replied. "What a difficult state you're in, Void King. You are bound with responsibilities of the two realms." She expressed and Lucas is visibly shaking. "I can't help you resolve the problem you're facing, for I am just a regular folk who live peacefully in a remote village. The burden that lies in your shoulders is no easy feat. All I can give is a word of advice; do what you think is right and do it one step at a time." She shared and Lucas is listening. "I hope it somehow lightened the weight you are carrying. And, your secret is safe with me."
Later...
Lucas is lying on the bed, together with Luna. The girl likes to sleep without clothes, except her underwear, and thankfully, there's a thick blanket that covers her up. Lucas on the other hand, he still wore his clothes and didn't take the blanket from her. He look up, still troubled but— "Lura... Please don't leave me..." Luna is sleep talking. "I'm scared... I'm so alone... Don't leave me...!"
Lucas looked at her and she's indeed trembling. Since the king has the ability to read thoughts, he saw the painful parting of young Lurs in her also, the sad moments of Luna ever since Lura left. "I... maybe an only son but— I was never felt alone." He wondered. "Roquinito is like a brother and father to me. He may be my adviser but I treated him like a parent. But Luna... She may have a sibling but— seeing her thoughts made me realize how lonely and sad she is."
"I heard that she's a warrior but— like she told me before inside that forest, she's indeed a sad person I've met first in this realm." He touched her trembling hands and she's driven in cold. "You must be waiting for someone that you could share and be with. If I leave you now, I'm afraid I might worsen that feeling you bear." Lucas undress himself, leaving his underwear. He hugs Luna, hoping to offer his bodily heat to her, to reduce the chilling of her body and also, he used the thick blanket for additional heat. "I guess... I'll stay a little longer." Lucas hugs her and the trembling and fear in Luna's sleep talking gone down and now, she's calmed.
Beyond the door, the Soothsayer is peeking and she overheard everything. She smiled and leave them be.
As time passed, Lucas' worry to his kingdom slowly ceased and the more he spent with Luna, the more his love grows so is his knowledge to the mortal realm. He learns quick and Luna's surprised. With Lucas' knowledge, he also improved the village. He established the construction of walls and watchtowers. Just in case of raids. He also provided knowledge about defense and agriculture.
For the past years, the village's livelihood improves and the village became a town by Lucas' insane feats. Also, the soothsayer aged but giving how much Lucas did to the village, she felt happy. The soothsayer may not be fortunate to be with her sons, she's blessed by having Luna and Lucas under her wing and she's glad to live a little longer. Now, them, living in the same house, Luna and Lucas made improvements and renovation of the house, making it slightly big than the what it used to.
Though the soothsayer didn't want the house to be changed, but later on, she permits as this is what her sons wanted if they were still alived. Also, because of Lucas' ceaseless achievement, people nominate him as Mayor but he refused, after all, he wants to spend his time with Luna. The people understood and he go back with her. "Why did you turn it down?" Luna crossed her arms and Lucas scratched his scalp. "Well, I don't wanna burden myself with such responsibility anymore. Besides, I just want to lend a hand not actually leading it myself. So, I let the others do it."
Luna flick his forehead. "You're such a soft fluffy!" She smiled and Lucas blushes. "Your face is turning red again." He flinched. "Oh? Am I?" He laughed. "Anyway, can't help since I look paler than you." Luna pushes his shoulder gently. "Shush you!" She giggles. "Anyway, since we have nothing to do at the moment, how about let's go fishing, just like the good ol days? What do you say?" Lucas brought all gears with him. "I'm ready as you are, Luna."
So, the two starts doing what they did before. They searched food at the forest but Lucas who is more knowledgeable than before, they get to harvest lots of food that Luna can't imagine. Lucas is double checking their find as for her, she draws near to him. "Wow! That's a lot! I bet these finds, we won't starve for a week!" Lucas nods. "Indeed!" When Lucas turned his head, both their lips get in contact, in other words, an accidental kiss happened. Lucas is shocked but what Luna felt is quadrupled. She's blushing than ever.
"I— I'm so sorry!" She apologized. "I've drawn too close! I'm so sorry Lucas." Lucas smiled as he tidy their harvest. "No problem. Anyway, time to head to the river. Let's go." Lucas grabbed her hand and both heading towards the waters.
At the river....
Lucas set up the fishing gear and both enjoyed waiting to take their bait. Luna, on the other hand, cannot move on from the kiss she had before. She touched her lips and mumbled. "We— we kissed. Lucas and I kissed...!" She starts blushing. "Ho— how did that happen?"
"Luna, are you alright?" Lucas butts in and she flinched. "I— I'm fine, Lucas! You don't have to— to worry about me!" Lucas read her thoughts and understood the issue. "Did that kiss bothered you?" — that statement made her guard break. "Ki— kiss??? What do you mean kiss?!"
"You looked like you're bothered by it, so I ask what's wrong about it?" She glared at Lucas and she can't stop reddening. "Well, you've read lots of book... I'm sure you know what kiss is..." She made a pouty look. "Well, kiss happens when two lovers fell in love to each other. Wouldn't we called lovers though?" She flinched. "We've been together for so long and—" Lucas carelessly explains and the time he glanced at him, all he saw is a grumpy face.
"How can you care freely say that? We may be together for a long period of time but that doesn't make us—! " Lucas draws near and gave her a softened look. "Well, I don't know how you feel towards me Luna, but I'm certain... By the time I know you, I've fell in love with you." Luna's eyes widened. "Lu— Lucas...! Are you possessed or something..? I'll... I'll banish the infernal that's—"
Suddenly, Lucas draws his face closer to hers. "I'm not possessed, Luna. This is what I felt towards you." Luna stares at his piercing red eyes and she calmed down. Lucas touched her hand as both of their draws closer and closer but they're interrupted by having their baits taken by a fish at the same time. They stopped and they get back to their fishing gear to catch that fish.
At night, they've settled at the same bed. Both didn't dare to face each other because of what happened from the afternoon. But Luna, she cannot let go remembering that scene and can't stop blushing. By the time she turn and faces him, she flinched as she saw Lucas already watching him.
"Lucas....?!" She's surprised and Lucas draws closer and closer.
