Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Sora Meets Conan

After finding four empty seats, the four friends placed their baggage on the top shelf. Sora and Tsubasa explored the train, hardly containing their excitement.

"I can't believe this is happening! We're riding in a real train!!" exclaimed Sora. She peered through one of the windows, watching in awe as the buildings passed by at a fast pace.

"Indeed!" added Tsubasa, joining Sora. "Until now, the only trains I've seen are the ones in my books. Did you know the Keihin–Tōhoku Line is one of the most significant and fastest railway lines that goes through Tokyo? Holding 41 stations, it is also one of Japan's busiest commuter railways, carrying over three million people each day. It opened its service in 1914, and had run a successful operation for more than a hundred years ever since. There are two types of trains: rapid and local. Rapid train services stop solely at major stations, while local train services stop by all stations on their routes. We're taking the local one, which goes at 90 kilometers per hour or 55 miles per hour."

"Ooooohhh!" said Sora and Mashiro at the same time. Their eyes sparkled brightly from amazement at so much knowledge shared by their Puni bird friend.

"That's Tsubasa for you!" A grinning Ageha snapped her fingers and pointed at him. "Always full of knowledge and teaching it to others."

The boy blushed a little and rubbed the back of his head. "It was nothing. Just thought I'd expand my knowledge about Beika." Reaching into his bag, he took out a clipboard with several papers, each one with a detailed schedule. "According to my calculations, since it takes an hour to reach Beika, we should be there around 9 AM with time to spare. Beika is a foreign city to us, so it'll take a while to adjust."

"Oh, so that's why you wanted us to get up so early," piped Mashiro. At first, she never understood Tsubasa's reason for being so meticulous with the time. But upon hearing his explanation, it all fit together. Looking at Tsubasa in silent awe, Mashiro wondered how prepared he was for every situation.

Feeling a yawn coming up, she tried her best to stop it, but it slipped out of her mouth. Mashiro's big yawn caught Tsubasa's attention. "Oh, dear. Maybe the wake-up time was too much for you. I'm sorry."

Mashiro shook her head gently. "It's alright. You poured so much time into organizing a tidy schedule for us. I wanted to at least show my appreciation by following it."

Tsubasa, Sora, and Ageha beamed at their friend's kind words. To them, Mashiro is like a warm light that illuminates those around her. She may not possess the same book-smarts, athleticism, and energy as her friends respectively, but her kindness is what truly makes her shine.

"Thanks, Mashiro," said Tsubasa. "I'm just so… how do you say… 'stoked' to spend time with you, Ageha, and Sora. I thought we'd cooperate in making this the best vacation ever."

The four best friends took time to enjoy each other's company. Memories steadily flood into Sora's head as she reminisces the first time she met Ellee. Although it wasn't a pleasant one given her abduction, it triggered a chain of events that led Sora and Ellee in first meeting Mashiro and later her grandmother, Ageha, and Tsubasa. Sora can't help but wonder if she still would've encountered them had it not been for Kabaton's actions. Who knows? But what she does know is that she's so blessed to find such wonderful friends in a wonderful, new place.

"Wow, I can't believe it's been a year since we've brought peace between Sky Land and the Undergu Empire," commented Sora. "Princess Elleelain would've been proud." 301 years ago, Princess Elleelain was a kind and noble ruler of Sky Land who cared deeply about her people. However, Sky Land was attacked by the Undergu Empire, instigating a huge war between two kingdoms. When Ranborgs from the Undergu Empire brought horrible destruction to Sky Land, Elleelain's desire to protect what's important enabled her to transform into Cure Noble and fight them off. Believing strength isn't everything and fighting only brings sadness, Elleelain long hoped to make peace with the Undergu Empire.

"You've said it." Ageha leans back in her seat, arms folded behind her head. "After all the Ranborgs, rescues, and crazy challenges, we to-tally deserve a break."

Unbeknownst to Sorashido City, Sora, Mashiro, Tsubasa, and Ageha were secretly Hirogaru Sky Precure, known as Cure Sky, Cure Prism, Cure Wing, and Cure Butterfly respectively. They were magical heroes who were granted superpowers by Ellee out of their strong desires to protect her and innocent lives from the Undergu Empire. When Ellee was taken by General Skearhead into the Undergu Empire, the four Precures risked their lives to fight him and rescue Ellee, motivating her to transform into Cure Majesty and save them in turn. Together, they fought against the Undergu generals and Empress Undergu who threatened them, Sorashido City, and Sky Land with Ranborgs, monsters created from Undergu energy. The five Precures initially despised them but eventually learned about their struggles and rescued them, sans Skearhead, out of empathy from their deadly fates. Thanks to their brave and selfless efforts, peace once again was restored between the Undergu Empire and Sky Land.

Waiting to reach their destination, Sora, Mashiro, Tsubasa, and Ageha pass the time by reminiscing the wonderful moments they've spent together. While there were many embarrassing memories, they nonetheless shared good laughs as they still had fun. 10 minutes and a few stops later, Mashiro's drowsiness immediately kicks in, causing her to fall asleep on Ageha's left shoulder. Soon, Tsubasa finds himself tired as well from getting up early. Despite him protesting being too old for naps, he quickly knocks out on Ageha's other shoulder.

Sora, on the other hand, still has tons of energy and yearns to explore the train more. She leans over to Ageha and whispers, "Is it ok if I walk around for a bit? I need to stretch my legs."

"Of course," Ageha whispers back, "I'd join you, but…" Glancing down on the two sleeping teens, she sheepishly smiles. "I'm stuck."

Sora quietly giggles and stands up. "Alright, I won't be gone for long." She tiptoes toward the open door and enters the next train car. As Sora walks down the aisle, she finds many passengers using phones for different reasons:

Two young children make cute and silly poses in front of their parents who rapidly take many pictures of them while gushing how adorable they are.

A male businessman in a corner is seen making a very important call to his boss about today's presentation, sometimes forcing himself to talk louder.

Three high school girls are reading and gossiping about a news story on their phones, sharing disturbed looks before posting several comments online.

A woman in pretty attire elegantly walks back and forth with headphones, occasionally striking an elegant pose.

As Sora walks down the aisle, she stares at their phones with curious fascination. She has long wondered how a small piece of technology is capable of so many functions. In Sky Land, the inhabitants had no vehicles and complex communication technology, living old-fashioned but humble lives. As a result, the young Sky Landian was completely shocked at Sorashido City's more advanced technology and lifestyle upon her first arrival on Earth. Thanks to Mashiro and Ageha's assistance, Sora gradually adapted to her tech-rich surroundings. Like a ninja, Sora uses her stealth and quiet movement to avoid disturbing passengers until she successfully reaches the third car.

Inside, she spots two passengers who appear to be traveling together. One was a middle-aged man sleeping heavily in his seat. He has high cheekbones, a short black mustache, and short black hair smoothed to the back. His outfit consists of a muted blue suit and pants, red necktie, and black shoes, giving him a professional image… if it wasn't for his snoring. In fact, he snored so loud he would have woken up the dead, and the dead would unleash their wrath onto the noisy man. Though bothered by his zzz's, Sora also didn't want to disturb him, so she gingerly walked past him. At the far end of the seats, a small boy about 6 or 7 years old is standing up, looking at his smartphone with a calm expression. He wears a blue blazer over a white dress shirt, gray-blue shorts, and a red bowtie and shoes, giving him the appearance of an adult. Most of his dark brown hair hangs over his face but not enough to cover two blue eyes as pretty as a crystal blue ocean. Large black glasses sit in front of those eyes, making them appear smaller.

The blue-haired girl heard a deep sigh from the adult-like boy. A frown appears on his face as he focuses on his phone. Sora sensed so many negative emotions swirling in his blue eyes, like a wild whirlpool. The more he checked his phone, the more his negative emotions grew, and the more concerned Sora felt for him. She's unsure what the child was looking at, but it seemed to be disturbing him.

Is his father aware of this? Sora turned to the sleeping middle-aged man.

"Sir? Sir, wake up!" Sora said, shaking him roughly. Unfortunately, she couldn't rouse the man from his deep slumber.

"Ladies… ladies. Please, one at a time. Plenty of me to go 'round." The man groggily murmurs, forming a goofy smile.

Sora tilts her head to the side. She has no idea what he's dreaming about, but it's clear he's not waking up soon. Unable to leave the melancholic child alone, Sora decides to be the one to comfort him instead. With a determined look, Sora approaches the tiny boy in wide, fast strides.

As she gets closer, a rattling sound causes her to glance up, becoming as shocked as the little boy. On the top shelf, a large white suitcase atop a gold suitcase starts to slide off, half of it teetering precariously over his head. How he hadn't noticed it, she has no idea. But right now, there was no time to think. Only act. Lunging forward, the Sky Landian charges toward the little boy at lightning speed. Just as the suitcase falls down, she jumps high in the air and aims her foot straight at it.

"HAAAAAAAAAH!!!"

Quick like the wind, Sora kicked the suitcase away, sending it flying two cars down to the last one. The athletic girl landed gracefully on the boy's right side, startling him into dropping his phone. Thankfully, at the last minute, Sora knelt down and caught the phone before it could hit the ground.

"Whew! That was too close. Are you okay?" Sora asked, handing his phone to him.

At first, the young child was too shocked to say or do anything. He just stared at her with eyes so big they match the size of his large glass lenses. Worried, she waves a hand in front of his face to snap him out of his still state, but to no avail. The Skylandian starts to feel more concerned about the little kid, believing he might be traumatized. She can't blame him. After all, it's not every day you almost get crushed by a falling object, only for someone to appear and save you out of the blue. Getting down on one knee, Sora puts her free hand on the small boy's shoulder and shakes him a little. Snapping out of his trance, he slowly regains his serene composure and simply nods at her.

"Thank goodness!" Sora smiles out of relief. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a suitcase to track. Stay safe!" She heads off to the last car, leaving the still-dumbfounded boy alone with his thoughts.

When Sora reaches the final car's doors, she stops dead in her tracks. Scattered on the seats, top shelves, and floor were dresses of various hues. In the middle of the floor, the same white suitcase is seen burst open and facing the ceiling. Its toggle latch locks are also detached as if they were popped loose by a great force. Judging by the placement, it was clear that the white suitcase held those dresses before they were separated from the crash. It was like a volcano exploded in the last car. But instead of leaving destruction, it left beautification of bright, wonderful colors.

Sora winces. "Ooooh… Looks like I kicked it too hard." With extreme care, she picks up the dresses one at a time. After all the dresses were collected, Sora sits down, puts the first dress on her lap, and begins folding it. Once done, she put it gently to her left and repeated with the other dresses until there were two neat piles.

Satisfied with her work, the Skylandian prepared to return the folded dresses in the white suitcase.

"MY CLOOOOOOOTHES!!!!!"

An unholy shriek made Sora freeze in place, dresses hovering over the open suitcase. The bluenette jerks her head up to see an angry young woman in her twenties at the entrance. Sora instantly recognizes her as the same one walking around with headphones. She wears a short-sleeved, white dress reaching down to her ankles with blue flower designs and beige sandals with tiny flowers. Her long, shoulder-length hair has big curls at the base and a light pink headband adorned with four big flowers. Slung over her right shoulder is a medium-sized, cyan purse with a gold butterfly decoration and red headphones wrapped around the strap. A white lace parasol hangs over the lady's head, both hands clenched tightly around its shaft. When Sora met the lady's gaze, she was scared stiff. Green eyes shooting flaming daggers, lips forming a snarl: as if she is screaming, "You're dead".

The lady in the dress closed her parasol and, with her left hand, pointed it at Sora like a gun. "Put… them… back… NOW!"

The bluenette quickly but carefully laid the dress piles into the white suitcase. The last thing she wanted is to enrage this woman even more.

"Hands up and step away. SLOWLY."

Sora did as she was told. Gradually, she stood up, raised her hands, and walked backwards. The young lady followed the blue-haired teen's footsteps, still pointing the parasol at her. With every step, the woman intensely watches Sora who stares back with fearful eyes. The Skylandian continues her movements until her back hits a wall.

"Good thing I came to the last train car on time. You've got some nerve trying to steal from me, you little thief!"

Sora was astonished by the woman's accusation. "W-w-wait! I-I can explain…"

"Explain what?! That you snatched my suitcase?! TO STEAL MY DRESSES?!?!"

Hands clapped over Sora's ears from those loud last words. She seriously thought the glass on the windows rattled. One octave higher, and the windows would've cracked and maybe shattered.

Heavy pants escape from the woman's mouth as her rage threatens to explode again. However, she unexpectedly closes her eyes and takes calm, deep breaths.

In the nose… out the mouth

In the nose… out the mouth

The lady continues her breathing technique until her fury subsides. Well… almost. Her eyes still burned with hatred toward the bluenette.

"But… since you're young and my dresses are safe, I'll give you ONE CHANCE: Apologize and I'll forgive your atrocious actions. If you don't…" Without averting her gaze, the lady reaches into her purse with a free hand and pulls out her phone. "I'm calling the police."

Every color drains from Sora's face the second she hears those words. Is she for real?! Sora wouldn't mind saying sorry for kicking her suitcase and creating a mess. But for breaking and taking her dresses? The Skylandian's mind scrambles furiously. If she apologized for stealing, she'd be practically confessing to something she didn't do. And if she refused, she'd be sent to jail, which according to Mahiro is not a pleasant place. Even if she argues what actually happened, she can't prove it. She was alone, so no one could back her up. Oh, what to do? What TO DO?? WHAT TO DO?!?!

"Ah le le? Why would she do that?"

"Huh?" Both girls said simultaneously. The tension broke as their attention turned to the unknown voice. Standing near the white suitcase was the same boy Sora rescued before it fell onto him. Except, he was more lively than his previous self in the third car, much to the bluenette's relief. The elegant lady relaxed and smiled softly at the child.

"Boya, you must understand. This girl took something very precious from me. That's a big no-no. Therefore, she must confess or she'll be in seeeerious trouble." Despite the woman's playful tone, Sora flinched at the animosity directed at herself.

"But what if she's innocent?" He said with an innocent face.

"Then, she won't go to jail. But I assure you, she's guilty without a doubt."

"Why?" Head tilted, displaying his curiosity.

"Because, one…" The lady holds up a finger. "My white suitcase is here instead of in the third car, which means someone carried it away. Two…" Raising another finger. "It was wide open on the floor in front of this girl who was by herself. And three…" Third and final finger. "My neatly folded dresses were in her hands, in the process of removing them from my suitcase. Therefore, she made an unforgivable and poor attempt at robbery!"

"But there's proof she didn't commit the crime. Come here." The boy in blue motioned the two ladies toward the suitcase. Once they got closer, he pushed the luggage's top half, causing it to fall on the other half.

Walking around the suitcase, the child pointed at the line that separates its two parts.

"Take a look at this!"

Leaning down, Sora and the white-dressed lady saw a faint gray footprint imprinted squarely on the spot shown by the kid.

An angry tick mark formed on the lady's head. "WHAT?! Are you KIDDING me?! I just got this suitcase! Who did this?!?!"

"Ano…" The Skylandian meekly raised her hand. "It was me. My apologies. Must've happened when I kicked it to…"

"YOU BLUE BARBARIAN!!!" Startled by her outburst, the boy jumped backwards. Pulling out a box of wet wipes from her purse, the irate woman grabbed one and began cleaning the stain. "Have you no dignity?! Not only would I have to report you for theft, but also property damage!" As soon as the last smudge disappeared, she got up and walked dangerously toward Sora.

The child waved his hands frantically at the woman. "Chotto matte! She only kicked the suitcase to save me."

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"I didn't see it, but I heard a loud yell above my head, followed by a thump and a strong breeze. It happened so fast. But when this girl landed next to me, it all came together. That must have been the moment she jumped to kick the falling suitcase away with enough force to knock it to the last train car. After checking up on me, she left to find your suitcase and bring it back."

Now it was Sora's turn to be really shocked. Jaw hitting the floor, she couldn't believe how correct the little boy was. The elegant woman was equally surprised, although she still wasn't convinced.

"Even so, what about the dresses in her hands and open suitcase? If she wasn't a thief, she should've brought my white suitcase to the third car immediately."

"Why don't we ask her about it? It should clear things up."

"Not so fast!" The lady shot a narrow side glance at the bluenette. "What if she lies to make herself look innocent?"

"We won't know unless we hear her out." Big, blue puppy-dog eyes met stern, green eyes. "Pleeeeeeeease?"

"Awwwwwww!!!!" Sora can't stop gushing at his adorable display. It almost rivaled the kawaii-ness of Ellee. Almost. She glanced at the lady in the white dress and giggled at her reaction.

The woman was blushing like crazy, even more than Sora. Her face was as red as a strawberry, while her eyes twitched uncontrollably and her mouth twisted into an uncomfortable grimace. She tried to look away from the boy's eyes, but their level of kawaii-ness froze her eyes in place, as if stuck by superglue. Try as she might, the lady was no match for the child's captivating charm.

Sighing in defeat, she put one hand to her cheek. "Fine, you win. Goodness gracious, who could say no to that face?" She launched a fierce gaze at Sora. "Alright, let's hear your side of the story."

Grateful, Sora took a deep breath. "Everything the little boy said is true. When I reached the last train car, I was completely shocked! Turns out I hit the suitcase too hard, because the dresses were thrown all over the place. I felt guilty, so I collected and folded them as neatly as possible. Finally, I was about to put them back, until I heard your voice."

The woman in the white dress sighed and shook her head. "Honestly, do you expect us to fall for your tall tales?"

"Tall tales?" replied a baffled Sora. "What I said was the truth."

"Wrong. And you know why?" Opening her suitcase, the lady removed a peach-colored dress and held it for Sora to see. "Because this is exactly how I fold my dresses."

"WHAAAAAAAAT?!" Sora's hands flew over her mouth.

"You had this poor boy deceived, but you can't fool me. Shame on you! Putting on a facade, so he would buy your innocence and unknowingly help you escape punishment."

No reply came from the Skylandian. This is bad, this is very very very bad. If both of them have the same technique of dress folding, then neither she nor the boy can't prove she's not a robber. Nevertheless, she has to say something. Anything. She can't give up so easily.

Dropping her hands, Sora opened her mouth to speak. In response, the white-dressed lady swiftly grabbed her wrist with her left hand in a vice-like grip. A sharp cry slipped out of Sora instead. Face twisted in agony from the unbearable pain of fingers crushing muscle and bone.

"ENOUGH! No more lies! At least understand when to call it quits!!" Using her free hand, the white-dressed lady seized her phone again, this time calling the police. Thoughts of despair bombarded the Skylandian's mind with each number dialed down.

Is it over?

Am I going to prison?

Minna… I'm sorry.

Sora shut her eyes, waiting for her impending doom.

"STOP!"

A stern, loud voice caused Sora's eyes to crack open and the other girl's finger to hover over the call button. The boy in blue stood in front of the Skylandian protectively, fists gripped at his sides. His childish expression vanished with a serious aura taking its place. The girls were greatly surprised at his sudden change in behavior.

Steeled blue eyes glared at the white-dressed lady. "Release her. NOW."

Though stunned, she eventually recovered. "I… I can't. She'll make her getaway. My folded dresses are solid evidence that this teenager made up her story to cover her thieving tracks. The footprint on my suitcase isn't enough to disprove it, I'm afraid."

"That is only the first part of my evidence."

Surprise etched across the woman's face. "There's more?"

The boy nodded. "Yes. And I'll show it as soon as you let her go."

There was a moment of hesitation, causing Sora to worry whether she'll comply or not. Gradually, the woman's hand left her wrist.

As Sora rubbed her wrist gently, the boy eyed her with sympathy. "Ne, onee-san. How do you usually fold your shirts?"

"Oh, I start by placing them front side up and folding the sleeves horizontally. Then, I folded the top half of the shirts down by the waistline. Lastly, I folded the bottom half over the top one."

"Interesting." The white-dressed lady brought one hand under her chin. "My method is similar, except I fold the sleeves diagonally so they cross each other. Wait." She shook her head rapidly. "What's the point of this question?"

The young boy gestured to the white suitcase. "Unfold one of your dresses slowly. Then, you'll find out."

An eyebrow was raised. "I'm uncertain where you're going with this, but very well."

Lifting the upper part of the suitcase, its owner drew out a peach-colored dress. She sat on one of the seats and did what the boy said. When she unfolded the dress's bottom and top, she gasped out loud, nearly dropping it.

"Wh-Wha…?! This is…"

The short dress sleeves were folded in a straight line, like a rectangle. Not in a criss-cross fashion. The elegant lady performed a speedy check with the rest of her dresses. She got the same result.

"Exactly. If what she said was false, then the sleeves should've been folded the way you described. Since they're not, it is solid evidence that she told the truth and never stole your clothes."

"I… well… maybe…" The woman was totally lost by this turn of events.

"Think about it. Why would she fold your clothes if they're already folded? Unless… something forced them out of the suitcase, causing them to unravel and disperse everywhere. Like… a powerful kick?"

"AH!" The woman in the white dress yelped, dropping her parasol which fell with a clatter. A sign of her finally realizing the truth.

"Now, you understand?" Youthful energy re-emerged in the kid as he abruptly hugged Sora's leg and beamed.

"This girl isn't a thief… She's a hero!"

A warmth immediately filled Sora's heart. Being called a hero by this sweet child made her day. She rubbed his head affectionately, careful not to mess his hair.

Still shocked by her blown reasoning and his correct deductions, the elegant woman bent down to retrieve her parasol.

"Wh-who are you, boya?" She asked in a quiet voice.

A confident grin plastered on the boy's face. "Edogawa Conan. A detective."

"Detective, huh?" She closed her eyes. "At a young age?" Eyebrows furrowed slightly as though it troubled her. Shaking her head, she opened her eyes and sadly smiled at the boy.

"Sorry my suitcase almost injured you, Conan. I'll be mindful next time. Now if you'll excuse me…" After relocking her suitcase, she headed to the fourth car. "I'm going back to my other suitcase."

"Wait!" Sora's yell caused the other girl to stop. "Can you tell me your name, please?

"Why bother?" She responded in a flat tone. "Chances are we'll never see each other again." Head turned slightly, a single green eye facing Sora. "And it should stay that way." Turning away, she left Sora and Conan.

Something painful stirred inside of Sora. Why? Her name was cleared. She's not going to be arrested. Conan praised her heroic actions. So, why…

Can you forgive her?

Eyes widened with surprise and confusion. It was a quiet, unfamiliar voice. Not outside, but inside. 'Yes,' She replied mentally. 'To always forgive others, despite their cruelty. That's what a hero is.'

Hmm… We'll see about that.

Pushing the negative thoughts out, Sora knelt in front of Conan and pulled him into a big hug.

"Thank you so, so, so much, Conan! You saved me back there. You're the hero this time!"

Conan smiled from ear to ear. "No, thank you. I would've been seriously hurt if you hadn't saved me right away. Couldn't let that lady accuse you of something you didn't do. After all, one truth prevails."

"Wow, so inspirational!" Sora grabbed her notebook and pen from her shirt pocket and wrote: 'A hero must always seek the truth and help those who are falsely accused. One truth prevails!'

Azure eyes behind glasses glanced at her notebook with curiosity. "What are you writing down… um… What's your name?"

"Oh, I'm sorry!" She looked up from her notebook. "I didn't introduce myself. I'm Harewataru Sora. This is my Hero Notebook. It's where I write down what encourages me to be a hero. Like your words earlier. Here, want a peek?" Sora got down to Conan's height and shared her notebook with him.

Fingers flipped through the pages slowly, allowing Conan to read quote after quote. Whenever he found a saying he enjoyed, Sora recounted the moment she came across them and why she decided to write them down. Azure blue eyes twinkled with fascination as the mini detective was moved by such profound words, including his own which he blushed at.

While Conan continued reading, Sora observed him with a motherly love. Seeing the happiness in his eyes and smile kindled a warmth in her chest. He was the opposite of Conan she first saw in the third car: angry, shocked, concerned, and most of all, sad. Pondering over the source of his previous state, Sora resolved to ask him about it. Though worried about opening his old wounds, the Skylandian also wanted to give him support and listen to him. Just as he listened to her, despite the woman's objections.

"Hey, Conan…"

Her voice was promptly cut off by the conductor's announcement.

Attention… Attention all passengers. We'll be arriving at the Beika station in 5 minutes. Please make sure your luggage and other personal items are with you before leaving. Thank you.

"Already? I can't believe so much time has passed." said Sora.

"Yeah," Conan agreed. "I need to get back to Ojisan ASAP. He gets furious every time I go off on my own."

The two friends traveled hand in hand to the third car, where they found Conan's caretaker still asleep (thank goodness). They exchanged goodbyes with each other, expressing their gratitude for assisting the other big time. After a quick hug and wave, Sora made her way back to the first car where she saw her friends removing their belongings from the high shelf.

"There you are!" Ageha exclaimed with a grin. "How was the train? You must've had fun, since you were gone for a while."

"Well…" said Sora, retrieving her heavy backpack. She needed to choose her words cautiously. Who knows their reactions after learning of her rough encounter with the fashionable lady?

Tsubasa tapped the adult on her shoulder. "Ageha. Wait until after we sign in at the hotel. Then, you can ask her questions."

"Oh, alright." Ageha made a pouty face. "But you better give me all the juicy details then!"

Sora let out a light-hearted chuckle. She can fret about the stressful events later. For now, she looked forward to the city's new sights and sounds. The bluenette took a deep breath as the train doors opened.

"Beika, here we come."
