Chapter 1 - A Family I Never Had Once

In this world, the MC was working a job and died from the pressure of overworking at his company. Suddenly, he found himself standing before a Goddess. She explained that he died because of how much he worked. He smiled bitterly and said:

"So that's it, huh? I died. It's not like anyone cared about me. I worked only for myself all my life. So, take me to hell or heaven—I don't mind what you do."

But the Goddess looked at him and said she would give him another chance to live—in a different world.

He was shocked and asked her why she would do that for someone like him. There had to be a reason. But she simply smiled... and sent him away.

When he opened his eyes, he found himself living with a wife and children. They all looked at him, confused, and asked why he had been working so hard lately when he should be resting at home.

The MC didn't understand what was happening, but he nodded silently. They gently left him alone in bed, where he had apparently been unconscious.

He looked around the room and saw a photo of the man who originally lived in this house with the wife and children. Right away, he understood—God had placed him in a family where the real husband and father had died, just like he had in his world.

He quietly asked himself why the Goddess would do this for him... but as his body began to feel weak, he realized he needed to rest and closed his eyes again.

Then, we see the Goddess standing in front of the spirit of the original man whose body the MC now inhabited. She said:

"You worked so hard for your family. I will send you to heaven."

But the man asked, "What about my family? Who will take care of them?"

She smiled and replied, "You don't need to worry anymore. They'll be fine."

And with that, she sent him to heaven.

The story continues.

The MC wakes up to the sound of his daughter saying, "Daddy, wake up! You've been sleeping for hours!"

He looked at the clock—it was 9:00 a.m. He quickly got up to put on his work uniform, but the girl said:

"The office told you to take enough rest today, so you're free, Daddy!"

He looked at her, confused, and asked, "You woke me up because you want something, didn't you?"

She smiled and said, "Can you please be my horse, Daddy? Like always?"

He agreed, and they played together, with her riding on his back. As he saw her laughing and enjoying herself, he suddenly remembered his own childhood—lonely, always inside a quiet house, studying hard so one day he could live for himself alone.

He returned to the present moment as his wife came in and scolded the daughter:

"Don't you remember your dad is sick from overworking yesterday?"

The daughter replied, "But Daddy said he can play with me."

The wife sighed and said, "Get down. Let your dad rest. He didn't even eat anything yesterday."

The girl listened and left them. The MC told his wife, "I'm fine. You shouldn't scold her."

But she looked at him sternly and said:

"You don't even realize how sick you are. So don't tell me what to do—understood?"

He went silent.

She slammed the door and said:

"I'm bringing your food here. Don't even think about leaving this room."

He looked at the door, scared.

A few minutes later, she returned and said, "Stand up."

He stood straight.

"Open your mouth."

She fed him the first bite, and as he ate it, tears slowly filled his eyes.

She looked at him and asked, "What's wrong? Is the food too hot?"

He wiped his eyes and said, "It's not that... I just remembered something."

We see his past self again—eating plain rice and eggs, alone at a table, saying:

"Same food, same me... and no one else here for me."

He was always alone.

Back in the present, he looked up at the ceiling and thought:

"Thank you, God... for giving me a chance to experience something I never had before."

His wife noticed and touched his head.

"Are you sick again? Why are you staring at the roof?"

He smiled at her and replied:

"Nothing. I just remembered someone."

Then, we see the Goddess watching from above. She smiled and said:

"From birth, you never had anyone by your side. Even when you became an adult, no one ever waited for you to return home. But in this world... you finally have what you always missed. So

enjoy this life."
