Normally, it was impossible for anyone to use any kind of magic and even some of the skills inside this barrier. But there was an exception to this.
What this barrier prevented was the activation of a spell or a skill. But if a spell had been already activated, then this barrier did absolutely nothing to it.
And that was exactly the case here. When Nessa had seen the throne for the very first time, she had immediately prepared a spell so that she could insta cast it if she came across an enemy. And this was exactly the spell that she had used just now.
As for why she did not use the spell during the battle, the reason behind that was very simple. It was related to one of the effects that this barrier had.
It not only made the magic of both of the ladies to become useless but it also provided the boss with some protecting.
