Chapter 1 - chapter i - The Shooting Star

Shooting like a comet through an atmosphere, an almost imperceivable streak of flame raced across the edges of existence. Nothing was safe from the unstoppable object. The flaming streak crashed through asteroid and moon alike.

The molten streak ran its course through the plethora of the universe. Astral, in essence, a giant deity in the backdrop of the realms, stood tall—Pure white eyes that promised wisdom, power, and most of all—Secrets.

Long, galaxy-doused hair flowed from the deity's scalp, falling to her shoulders and raising her hands to her chest concurrently while leaning forward—Eager to get a closer look at the raging, dashing star.

Her eyes pulsed with foreign power and like a plug being released from a clogged drain—The flaming streak was swallowed in a single second, its record of destruction lost to time and memory.

The deity thrummed with power once more and in a burst of metaphysical—Intangible energy, she dispersed and vanished from the background of the universe.

When she appeared again, she stood smaller than before—Way smaller than before. With her height reaching 162.56 cm. Her galaxy—Universal appearance still holding, her eyes a memoir of primordial status.

Her steps were weightless, and not a single sound echoed from the soles of her feet. Her gaze fell silent upon the contained shooting star, its blazing flames cooled by the vast frigidness of the ends of the universe—Her domain.

Curled into a tight ball—Dawning nothing but a set of fitted black clothing—The T-shirt squeezing and highlighting the lean and powerful muscles of the body underneath it. Black pants that matched, with just enough bagginess in the legs to allow them to breathe.

The deity crouched at the man's side, her hands softly caressing the face of her benefactor. "Oh, Eidolon." Her voice wisped like a cool breeze, her tone like honey, and her gaze as soft as clouds. "Rise once more, your mission must go on." She leaned down, her sultry, plumped lips falling upon his brown cheek—A bandage materializing where they lay.

As she rose to her full stature, the boy shook, his eyelids twitching as he grew. His arms were shaky under his weight. Two onyx orbs peered around, confusion etched in his eyes. "Shit." He cursed sharply, rising to his feet, and sighed. His hand reached for his head as his attention fell upon the Goddess in front of him.

He squints, then, a flash of realization—"Ah! Ezra. The Goddess of Life and Creation… How I missed you!" He practically jumps out of his body, he spreads his arms wide, and unceremoniously throws them around the impassive Goddess.

"I'm glad to see you alive and well, My Liege." She nods. Eidolon steps back, his hands in his pockets as he shakes his head. His expression was that of someone who had just met up with a long-lost friend. Ezra, on the other hand, remained stoic.

"Alive? Yes, well? Nah." The boy says. "The Specter did me in this time. Got caught up by his Eldritch dogs." He frowns, his jaw clenching as his eyes flash with a vision of hatred. "I forgot that pathetic bastard loves to play the almighty."

Ezra hummed, "Indeed. You know very well how cowardly he is. Tis' the only way he was capable of defeating my people." Her own white, devoid eyes seemed to flicker with something unreadable. Eidolon moved on, though, deciding not to touch on the sensitive topic.

"Right. Well, that's all done and over with. This last life was the closest I've gotten to him—I've seen his face—His throne." His eyes darkened, his arms crossing instinctively as the memories of his final battle rang within his mind.

Ezra observed, her eyes glued to Eidolons, her curiosity and need to figure things out eating at her as she tried to peer within his mind, To see just what he had seen. But the moment she tried to, Eidolon's voice caught her.

"Quit that. You know you can't peer inside my mind." He frowned. "These memories aren't yours to invade, you know that as well." His tone was stern, not a single space for rebuttal. The Goddess hummed, "My apologies, Master. It's a bad habit of mine." The boy grunted, shaking his head.

He took a step to his right, his arms crossing. His eyes were laser-focused on the space in front of him, as if he were looking at something further than the void that peered around them. Ezra stepped forward, her eyes adjusting to see a translucent indigo screen hovering in front of his gaze.

"How is the system looking? If I recall, the functions you had me establish and the particular mystic-programming instruction you had laid out for me paved the path for a one-of-a-kind entity." Her statement seemed more so for herself, as if the memories flowing back with every word helped her make sense of what she was looking at.

Eidolon grunted in agreement. "Yes, you did wonderfully. These last couple of lives served as great test runs for its overall functions and abilities." He hummed, a hand moving to his chin. "Though it seems I've already begun my next life…" His eyes narrowed, reading the words inscribed on the system panel before him.

Ezra took his words trivially. "I figured. This plane is one still within the world of the living." Eidolon turned, looking at her. Her words resonated with him instantly. "So, then where am I? What universe is this?" He looked around, seeing the crystal glass-like view of the various solar systems around him.

"Universe: 12-3B—Otherwise known as the Naru-verse." Gazing upon the distant stars alongside her master, the two shared a moment of silence. Eidolon hummed, closing his system and raising his right palm.

A golden cross—Embedded directly in its center, bloomed with a quiet buzz of power. The gold slightly glows, only for it to dim. This is Park Mujin's Charyeok, Longinus. The power and the basics of its workings and potential were laid bare within his mind—An innate instinct on how to utilize his power.

His power derives from the mixture of gravity manipulation and energy constructs. He hummed, specializes with spears, too. He was content with that much. His eyes glazed over the second skill, landing on its name with an intrigued look in his eyes.

Labeled an Original skill… Meaning this must be—! His eyes widened in shock, his head snapping towards Ezra as he closed the distance between them with a single bound. "Look! Tell me what this means!" He practically shoved the translucent screen in her face. Her stoic eyes stayed calm, smoothly glazing over the listing.

"Wow. An utmost fitting load-out for a being of your caliber. Congratulations, master." Eidolon groaned in response, throwing Ezra in a loop. "No—Screw all that, look at the Original ability. What does this mean exactly? If it's mine, how come this is the first time I've seen it?" His question led to a moment of silence.

"…I don't know." She answered honestly. The Goddess' gaze lowered in disappointment and self-loathing. Finding her lack of usefulness appalling. Eidolon hummed, turning away, not even bothering to cheer the saddened celestial up.

Hmm… Whatever. An extra piece of weaponry never harmed anyone. He mused, rubbing his chin once more as he felt for the special powers bestowed upon him. With my body already formed and these skills established, when exactly was I reborn? And from whom or what? Those were questions he needed answered, but at the moment?

Not his problem.

"Alright, Ezra. I'm ready—Naruto's world is not a bad place to start for my world of origin." As he explained his thinking, Ezra was too busy watching his fingers rub his peach-fuzzed chin.

What is he pulling on? Her thoughts, though, were interrupted by his cutting voice—"and that would lead to me ultimately already having a hand on some of the most powerful basis of energy batteries and abilities known to man." He nodded confidently, spinning on his heels to face the goddess directly.

"So, send me to the Hokage mountain within the Leaf Village and disperse yourself." His tone began to get serious, his eyes matching the part. "Your signature is already leaking through this sealed barrier you created; the Specter will know you're here."

Ezra clasped her hands to her chest, her head lowering to show her gratitude for his worry. "I will do exactly that. Once I've warped you, you will be on your own once more. Are you prepared for that?" Her stoic face and tone was betrayed ever so slightly by the drop in pitch—Her own worry being showcased.

Eidolon grinned, shrugging. "Just send me off, already. You sappy Goddess." Ezra smiled in return and snapped her fingers—Instantly causing Eidolon to disappear.

Her gaze fell distant, the world around her beginning to fall apart as she whispered, "Stay strong… Child." And she dispersed in the wind, as if she were nothing more than a simple figment of the universe's imagination.
