Brooke
It didn't take long for the police to arrive at the apple orchard and they handcuffed Auriana, Rose, and Ryleigh's father. He put up a good fight, but the officers were prepared. There were two officers downstairs taking Theresa's statement, while we were upstairs in Auriana's room with the twins. Ryleigh and Rose were sitting on Skylar and Emma's laps. I walked over to Auriana.
"Auriana…can I talk to you for a minute…alone?" I asked softly, so the others wouldn't hear me.
"Um, sure?" Auriana walked down the hall with me.
"Auriana, be honest with me, do you like Jake?" I kept my voice low, so the others couldn't hear us inside her room.
"I…" She obviously didn't even know for herself how she felt about the whole situation, her hesitation to answer made that very clear.
"Maybe a little…I don't even know myself yet…You're not telling the others, right?" I couldn't contain the huge smile that made it's way on my face.
"No, of course not." Auriana looked at me with a meaningful look. She might have lost her memory, but that didn't mean she didn't realize I wasn't very good with secrets.
"Pinkie promise?" I hooked my pink through Auriana's, silently promising her I wouldn't say a word to the others.
"Good." Auriana was about to walk back into her room when we heard her mother calling her.
"Auriana, can you come downstairs for a moment?" Auriana walked downstairs. She's finally admitting it! I thought as I stuck my head around the corner of the door.
"Renee? Can you come out here for a moment?"
"Okay?" Renee walked out of Auriana's room and leaned against the wall. I was so excited that for a moment I´d forgotten that I was angry with her, but that quickly resurfaced as the two of us stood in the hallway together. With the promise I made to Auriana in the back of my mind, I decided to not betray her trust and to change the subject.
"Why didn't you come with me to see Auriana and Nikki in the hospital?" Renee crossed her arms. She clearly didn't like where is was going. Like she had to justify herself to me.
"I hate hospitals," she answered simply. Giving up was not a word in my dictionary. I mirrored Renee's attitude and kept pushing. She looked intently at me and if I didn't know her better I would almost been afraid of her.
"The atmosphere there makes me feel uneasy. People die there and the smell makes me nauseous," Renee clarified.
"You know, a real friend would get past her fear or whatever, when a friend is in need. Look at Auriana; Jake was in danger and while she hated him, she still saved him. Yes, she lost her memory but it was worth it," I argued. Renee took a step forward.
"Yes but I'm not Auriana! I don't care what she did, I hate hospitals! And I'm definitely not afraid of them!"
"Just forget it! You're not willing to do anything for your friends." I stomped back into the room. For a moment Renee apparently looked at the closed door before I heard her storm downstairs and walk out of the house. Scarlet grabbed me by my wrist and pulled me out of the room again. I guess She wanted some answers now, first the principal comes and takes us out of class and the next she hears that two of her friends are in the hospital. The tension between me Renee was almost so thick that you could cut it with a knife.
"What's been going on between you and Renee?" I diverted my gaze away from her, I didn't care about my fight with Renee al all at the moment.
"Just a little fight; Have you heard about Auriana?" What am I saying!?, I thought.
"Have I missed something else?" Scarlet asked. I might as well have hit myself on the head and sighed. Scarlet looked at me, waiting for me to continue.
"Tell me."
"Auriana thinks she likes Jake but I promised not to tell anyone, so please don't tell anyone." I pleaded.
"Okay, calm down, my mouth is sealed." Together we walked back into the room. Jeremy had turned on some music and was dancing around the room on his own. Without hesitation I joined Jeremy as he danced. Jake was sitting on the windowsill and staring out of the window, lost in his own thoughts.
"Do you know what goes well with this music?" I asked as I looked at Jeremy. He knew exactly what I meant without me uttering a single word.
"What?" Emma asked confused.
"A…Dance Party!" Jeremy and I said in unison. Jimmy, Scarlet and Emma joined us in the middle of the room. Skylar remained seated, and Jake continued to stare out the window.
"Don't you want to dance?" Skylar asked as she looked at each twin in turn.
"I do." Rose jumped up and entered our dance circle.
"Don't you?" Skylar asked.
"No…I…I can't dance," Ryleigh said softly. She looked down to hide her red cheeks.
"Anyone can dance."
"Not me…I'm too shy for it."
"Can I tell you a secret?" Ryleigh nodded.
"I'm really shy too."
"Really?" Skylar nodded.
Auriana
I walked into my room, the music coming from my room was so loud I could hear it half way up the stairs. With a press of the space bar on my laptop I paused the music.
"Hey!" Jeremy grumbled. Scarlet looked around the group of friends and grimaced, she must´ve felt a pang in her chest, in less than two months she wouldn't be here anymore, and she would've to miss these moments.
"Sorry, I have to go…we still have a lot of packing to do." Scarlet walked out of the room with those words. While she did her best to hold back the tears she looked back one more time before she closed the door behind her.

AurianaW: You can go buy the friendship bracelets or make them. Whatever you want.
JeremyW: Yay, more shopping!
JimmyB: Sometimes I really wonder if your mom dropped you when you were a baby.
AurianaW: For the gift basket, we can all put something of ourselves in it, besides the little trinkets and make a we'll miss you video with all the good moments from our friendship. The friendship bracelets can go in it and a cd with our songs.
BrookeT: Sounds like a plan. Now we just have to work out the details.
AurianaW: Okay we have two months let's do this!
"Emma, have you started on the lyrics yet?" I asked. My dizziness slowly subsided.
"For Scarlet's performance?" Jeremy asked. I nodded while my head was still pounding a little. Emma took a piece of paper from her bag and handed it to me. I quickly scanned the text.
"Can you make some copies?" After I had made a few copies, we started practicing.
"Three, two, one," Jimmy counted down.
"Hey, hey, everyone! Come on and sing along, we've been friends now for a while, oh, oh.," Skylar, Brooke, Emma and I sang. It feels weird to sing without Renee, Scarlet and Nikki, I thought. But I quickly shook those thoughts out of my mind when I thought of Nikki. Hopefully she would wake up soon.
"The song sounds good," Jimmy said. Emma bowed in thanks for the compliment on the lyrics.
"Okay, I'll come up with the dance." Jake's eyes widened as he realized he had another project coming up with me.
"The music duet," he said, his voices laced with panic. A questioning look on my face was enough to let him know that I had no idea what he was talking about.
"I'll write it," Emma offered. Jake looked at her in surprise.
"Really?" She nodded.
"Yeah, Auriana lost her memory and you couldn't even write songs if you're life depended on it."
"Gee, thanks," Jake said, offended. Jimmy put his hand on his shoulder.
"You know it's true," Jimmy said.
Emma
With my pen between my teeth, I ran through the different lyrics in my head. The main reason I offered to write the song for them was because I already had several ideas for the lyrics. Well, that and the fact that Jake really couldn't write a song if his life depended on it.
"So everyone can see, Fly away with me in your arms. 'Cause baby I love you, keep up your guard and put on your mask," I sang softly.
"Cause you really are, you really are Superman, Superman," my brother suddenly sang behind me. Terribly of-key I might add. I almost peed my pants.
"Simon! Don't scare me like that, that's not funny, But it's a good line."
"Thanks lil' sis." He turned around and started to walk away again.
"Oh, one more thing though," I said, as I turned in my desk chair to look at my brother.
"What?" He turned back around and leaned against my desk.
"You can't sing."
"Thanks, what are you doing anyway?"
"A school assignment," I answered simply. My pen slide across the paper as I wrote down the line Simon had sung. He looked over my shoulder at the lyrics I had written so far.
"Superman might be a good title."
"Thanks, now out of my room!" Simon walked out of my room with his hands raised as if he surrendered.
"You're probably as weird as I am. Yeah, you can say that you're bullet proof," I continued to sing.
