The next time I saw Riyan Sen, he was already sitting in my favorite library spot.
Anaya: (thinking)
Of course he's here. Same desk. Same chair. Same annoying face.
I wanted to leave, but I had an assignment due. And sadly, haunting him still wasn't an option.
I walked over and sat on the chair across from him.
Riyan: (looking up slowly)
"You again."
Anaya: (opening my book)
"Trust me, I'm not happy either."
For the next ten minutes, we said nothing. Just quiet studying.
Well, I was trying to study — until he started breathing like he was doing yoga.
Anaya: (annoyed)

Riyan:
"I'm starting to think you have a crush on me."
Anaya: (shocked)
"I'm starting to think you have a concussion."
Riyan: (smirking)
"You're funny."
Anaya:
"You're irritating."
Riyan:
"Thank you."
I rolled my eyes and went back to my book.
But after a few minutes, I noticed — he wasn't even looking at his own.
Anaya:
"Why are you staring at me?"
Riyan:
"You chew your pen like it owes you money."
I quickly pulled the pen out of my mouth, eyes wide.
Anaya:
"Wow. You are literally the most annoying human on earth."
Riyan: (tilting his head)
"Still sitting with me though."
That was it.
Anaya: (standing up)
"You know what? You win. Enjoy your stupid table."
I picked up my books and stormed off.
But as I reached another desk, I heard him say behind me — in that smooth, teasing voice:
Riyan:
"See you in debate class, Pen Girl.
