Chapter 9 - THE PAINTING

"She would join the greys" her powerful voice resounded in the ears of everyone who heard it. After her last sentence, she turned around, walking straight to the door, sending one last glance to the girl with white haired girl with a subtle frown on her face.

'The greys?! that was even worst, she could control the affair of the the bierges which are the slaves but she had no right over the affairs of the greys, how would she stop this vixen if she wanted to stop her if she wanted to get close to the Lord! she practically worked for him' princess Isabella screamed in her mind almost pulling her hair but she controlled herself.

'This damn old woman?' she thought with intense hatred in her eyes.

"Take her to her new chamber" Lucas said gently to a guard closest to him distracting princess Isabella from her thoughts.

Princess Isabella eyes widened hearing this, she wanted to say something in rebuttal but she couldn't, that middle aged woman was the Lord's beloved aunty not only was she his aunt but she also had strong connection with the Riven clan.

Forming inside, she glared at Elisa with intense hatred, as she began plotting on how to get rid of her in her head.

Elisa shivered feeling the spiteful gaze that was being throwed at her, she didn't know why but she had a feeling the tall beautiful woman hated her, but she had done practically nothing to her so why.

The guard made a move immediately, walking towards Madeline he stood before her "let's go" he said before turning around and heading for the door.

Madeline followed him meekly feeling the piercing gaze from that woman as she left the hall. Seeing the guard had walked way ahead she walked faster towards him till she caught up with him before she stopped.

They both walked in silence down the multiple hall, Madeline looked at the pictures on the wall admiring each of them, she had always loved painting, she even had a journal of the things she painted and but the attack was too sudden and she didn't have the chance to take it with her.

After waking in silence for so long, Madeline opened her mouth trying to break the silence "who is that tall young girl from earlier" she asked after gathering courage.

No response, she waited for a reply but non came, trying again" what do those groups symbolize and what does the grey group mean" she asked genuinely confused.

Still no response, she pouted at no one in particular 'such a rude man's she thought with a humph. Turning her focus back to the pictures on the wall.

Until her eyes fell on a certain picture, her eyes rested on the picture as she savoured every bit of it, she didn't know what so special about the picture she just couldn't take her eyes of it.

It was beautiful picture consisting of a majestic mountain range with seven peaks, each one exactly double the size of the one preceding it.

The peaks escalate in size, with the largest towering above the others. Notably, the highest peak appears unstable, resting precariously on a fragile base that seems insufficient to support its massive structure. This contrast between the peak's grandeur and its uncertain foundation creates a sense of tension and paradox.

Madeline stared at this picture in amazement,, it had a deep meaning to it, something only matured minds could understand and felt she felt she would understood a bit of it.

She stood looking at the painting for so long that a certain someone noticed , "you like it that much"....
