The next day, after barely any sleep at all, at 8 AM:
Isurugi said, "Sir, Elizabeth wanted to talk about the incident."
Liebe said, "I'm going." As he, Licht, and Isurugi were going, Liebe said, "Licht, how many times were we shot at?"
Licht said, "54 times."
Liebe said, "I will pay back every bullet a thousandfold over."
Licht said, "Liebe, I know I have no right to say it after I failed you, but please allow me to fight in the final team. I will take revenge."

As Licht went out of the way, he slammed his fist into the wall, breaking it.
Mia said, "Admiral, are you OK?"
Licht said, "Yeah, I'm fine. Just mad."
Mia said, "Sir, please drink something."
Licht said, "Later." As he went to where Olivia's remains were kept.
Licht said, "Olivia, I'm sorry. You were a subordinate of mine, but more importantly, a friend. You didn't have to die. It's my failure that you aren't here with us. Maybe in another life I could have repented for your death with my life. But I'm still expected to go on living until the day Liebe becomes the strongest in the world. Until the day I become the fastest in the world. I promise there won't be any deaths like yours. People may die, but it still hurts. No matter what, we won't stop until it becomes a reality. As he walked out, Mia said, "Sir, there was a call for you from your parents."
Licht said, "I will call them later. I have work on the ship. Tell them I'm fine."
Mia said, "Understood."
