After 42 hours passed, nothing happened. Licht and Liebe were losing their patience.
Gelda came. Gelda said, "Lord, so far we have nothing."
Liebe said, "What the hell are you saying?"
Gelda said, "Eldrie, Nora, Lara, and Stall are checking the capital."
Liebe said, "Do it better, goddamn it. Do it even if it means turning every building to dust."
Gelda said, "Understood, Lord."
Liebe said, "Any idea where Elizabeth might be?"
Gelda said, "No, Lord. And frankly, I'm worried about her. I checked her shadow realm pocket dimension, but Gaia wasn't there. It appears for one reason or another, Gaia left during or before the battle."
Liebe said, "I'm sorry she is lost."
Gelda said, "As a mother, I'm worried. And I will check every inch before giving up."
Liebe said, "If possible, take a 15-minute break. You have closed down this capital city. That must be draining."
Gelda said, "It's alright. This takes priority. My two daughters are lost, and finding them takes priority."
As Licht got back, Licht said, "Mia, water."
As Mia gave him a bottle, Licht splashed some on his face, poured it on his face, took a drink, and said, "I'm leaving again. I found another criminal who might be related. Still no leads. I will destroy every pub, bar, whatever. And has M woken up yet?"
Mia said, "No, sir."
Licht said, "That little—we are here searching the capital inch by inch, and she is taking a nap. So whatever the hell you need to wake her, we need to know what info she has. I'm heading out. Isurugi, with me."
Mia said, "But sir, we all have been searching non-stop for almost 2 days now. The team morale is beginning to fall."
Licht said, "Don't give me that crap. If they want to sleep, tell them to goddamn sleep. Don't waste my time."
Mia said, "But sir, you haven't eaten anything."
Licht said, "Keep it in the fridge. I'm leaving."
Mia said, "But sir, let me join you."
Licht said, "You manage here. The stab is still fresh. And get M awake. That dumbass getting her ass handed to her by mere unknowns—who the hell does she think she is?" As he headed out.
Liebe said, "I will start to expand our net. We have to find them."
Mia said, "But sir, you and Admiral Licht have been working non-stop."
Liebe said, "Don't give me that crap. Gelda, take Eldrie and start torturing every big name in the city—officials, mob bosses. Don't spare anyone till they are dead or give us any leads."
Gelda said, "I understand."
As Liebe said, "I'm done with this BS. It's time I have the dumbass king give me what I want."
Isurugi said, "But sir, your magic—"
Liebe said, "I still have plenty of magic. Isurugi, tell me when M awakens. Do whatever you need."
Gelda said, "I'm heading out as well."
Mia said, "But sir, you need to drink a bit of water."
Liebe said, "Shut up. I can't even breathe properly here knowing the person I love is captured. Without her, I have no reason to continue."
Fate said, "Maestro, it's best if you start accepting a possibility."
Liebe said, "And what the hell is that?"
Fate hesitantly stated stated, "The Grand Black spell is one that destroys all the user deems as their enemy. Would it be possible—"
Liebe said, "Shut the crap out! What are you saying? I killed her? It's my fault. It's my goddamn fault you all got your asses handed to you just because I wasn't there. And when I came, I killed her. Shut your mouth!"
Mia said, "Sir, we didn't mean to offend you. We are only stating a possibility since the other corpses also vanished from your attack."
Liebe said, "Please... please... please..." As tears began to flow, "Please let me have some hope. Please. I can't live without her."
As he walked into the wall, breaking walls on his way out.
