Chapter 138 - The Interrogation at at Café Roze

Licht said, "Thank you."

Meanwhile, in Café Roze, Olivia asked, "By the way, Alysa, is there a guy you like?"

Alysa said, "Well, ummm I—"

Olivia leaned in. "Don't be shy. Is it Liebe? Or the one from your class?"

Alysa said, "You mean Licht?"

Olivia said, "Yeah, him."

Alysa answered, "I like Liebe… and what about you guys?"

Iris said, "Well, I mostly read novels, so I'm more into fiction than real life."

Olivia smiled. "I think Liebe is pretty good myself. No offence."

Alysa said, "None taken."

Iris leaned forward. "So what are they like?"

Alysa thought for a moment. "I don't know how to describe it. Licht is cautious, maybe a bit too cautious. He's kind of like a brother to me. He's lazy at times, but dependable."

Olivia asked, "And what's Liebe like? Is it true that he's a half-breed? And what about the rumors surrounding him?"

Alysa said, "Rumors?"

Olivia nodded. "You know… the stuff. Some say he's somehow related to the great Captain Lilith Faust. Some say he might be a prince from another land. Some say—"

Alysa cut in. "Prince? Huh? Where did you hear that?"

Olivia shrugged. "Here and there. From the dorm."

In the dorm, Liebe muttered through the communicator, "Alysa, don't answer that. You don't tell them about Mother. It's best if they don't know."

Alysa replied silently, "Understood."

Then Alysa said aloud, "Well, we've known each other since childhood. But about the prince, half-breed, or that stuff—I don't really know."

Liebe whispered, "Good job handling it."

Olivia asked, "So you've known him basically your whole life but you still don't know his background?"

Alysa said, "Yes… kind of."

Iris tilted her head. "Okay then… and what about Licht?"

Licht whispered through the communicator, "Tell her everything."

Alysa sighed and said, "Well… Licht's father was the former Vice Captain of Black Rose, Jewel Vaude. His favorite color is blue, and he's a noble. He's rich, his favorite alphabet is P, his favorite number is 7, and his favorite food is nachos. Oh, and his social security number is 119."

Back in the dorm, Liebe groaned. "Dumbass! Was so much information needed?"

Licht smirked. "Of course."

Liebe facepalmed. "Fricking God…"

Iris raised a brow. "That was oddly specific."

Olivia's eyes widened. "Wait… did you say the former Vice Captain of Black Rose is Licht's father?"

Alysa nodded. "Yes."

Olivia said, "So Licht is the son of the former Vice Captain of Black Rose?"

Alysa nodded again. "Yes."

Olivia leaned closer. "So, despite being the son of the former Vice Captain, he is best friends with a half-breed and even treats him as an equal?"

Alysa said, "Yeah, kind of."

Olivia concluded, "Liebe must be the biological child of Captain Lilith Faust."

Alysa exclaimed, "What? How? Now?"

Olivia said, "Think about it! A noble, the son of a Vice Captain, considers a half-breed as equal. Even his sword—a noble being the sword of a half-breed? Impossible… unless Liebe was a relative. The only way it's possible is because Liebe is the biological child of Lilith Faust, heir to the throne of Faust."

Back in the dorm, Liebe shouted, "Dumbass! Licht, why the hell did you have to open your big mouth?"

Licht said, "How was I supposed to know Olivia actually knew stuff?"

Alysa said, "Is that so?"

Olivia smirked. "That's what I believe, at least."

Alysa sighed. "That's deep."

Iris rolled her eyes. "Seriously, Olivia, you really go a bit far. All those erotic novels might finally be getting to your mind."

Alysa said, "Huh?"

Olivia pouted. "Look, Alysa doesn't seem to deny any of it."

Iris said, "Idiot. Have you ever heard the term politeness?"

Liebe groaned. "Are girls always like this? I've seen interrogations lighter than this conversation."

Licht muttered, "For some reason… I won't disagree."

The three girls talked for a while longer, then had lunch and went back to their dorms.

When Alysa returned, Liebe asked, "How was lunch?"

Alysa sighed. "Intense."

Liebe said, "No kidding. I saw."

Licht rushed over. "How much information did you get? Tell me, tell me!"

Alysa said, "Mostly the disease and Solace. Other than that—yeah, I know what her type is."

Licht leaned closer. "Tell me! I want to hear every detail. The hair, the body build, the style, the looks—all of it."

Alysa smirked. "Let me just ask you two questions to find out."

Licht nodded. "Okay."

Alysa asked, "Are you her sibling?"

Licht said, "Well, no."

Alysa said, "Okay, failed the first one. Now the second—are you in any way related to her?"

Licht said, "Not that I know of."

Alysa sighed. "Sorry, you aren't her type."

Licht froze. "Please explain."

Alysa said, "She reads Percy Jackson."

Licht said, "Okay."

Alysa explained, "In simple terms, the main character is the child of Poseidon and falls in love with a girl who is the daughter of Athena."

Licht said, "Okay… and how does that affect me?"

Alysa said, "She loves the love story."

Licht nodded. "Okay…"

Alysa added, "Well… Poseidon and Athena are siblings."

Licht's face fell. "Frick. So any idea what I should do now?"

Liebe smirked. "I have a few ideas."

Licht said, "Okay, what is it?"

Liebe said, "Jump off a building and pray that in your next life you become one of her cousins. Simple."

Licht growled. "I'll punch you."

Liebe chuckled. "Dumbass. Well, here's plan B. You go to the library and read all the Percy Jackson books. Then, on Wednesday during lunch break, sit down in class and read one of them."

Licht frowned. "Why Wednesday?"

Liebe said, "Simple. That way she'll know you share the same interests. If you do it Monday, she might notice you're forcing it since she just told Alysa today what books she likes."

Licht blinked. "That's… somehow actually smart."

Liebe smirked. "Thank you."
