Chapter 115 - German Flight

"I've never been so disappointed in my own country's lack of spine," thought Friedrich sourly as he read the documents that he had received from the German government.

Following the instability in Eastern Europe, and in response to an energy crisis developing due to NATO's sanctions on Russia, the German government had announced an ambitious plan to upgrade and restart their nuclear energy program, and Albrecht Nuclear Systems, Friedrich's company, had been one of the main contractors for the project.

He had fiercely outbid American and French nuclear energy companies for the contract, and he had used his personal fortunes to offset the meager 25 billion Euro budget that the German government had allocated for rebuilding 10 nuclear power plants, in order to carry the project to completion.
