The tension in the Helicarrier's research lab had reached a breaking point. Aidan, Tony, and Bruce faced Fury across the laboratory table, classified documents and damning evidence scattered between them like ammunition.

"What exactly is Phase 2?" Tony demanded, gesturing at the weapons research displayed on his screen. The data Aidan had uncovered painted a disturbing picture of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s true agenda.

THUD!

Before Fury could respond, Captain America strode into the room and slammed a cylindrical metal object onto the table—unmistakably a weapon component. "Phase 2 is S.H.I.E.L.D. using the Tesseract to build weapons of mass destruction," he announced grimly. "Sorry, but that computer was running too slow for my taste."

Fury eyed the evidence Captain America had retrieved, clearly preparing damage control. "Rogers, we study all aspects of the Tesseract's capabilities, but that doesn't mean—"

"Why continue lying?" Aidan interrupted, pulling up additional files on his screen. "Not only are you conducting illegal T-virus human experimentation, but you're also weaponizing cosmic energy on an unprecedented scale."

Fury's expression darkened further with each revelation.

"I was wrong about you, Director," Captain America said, disappointment heavy in his voice. "The world hasn't changed at all since my time—just the technology used to deceive people."

Natasha and Thor entered the laboratory just as the confrontation reached its peak.

"I want an explanation," Bruce demanded, his voice carrying dangerous undertones as he pointed at the damning data. "Why is S.H.I.E.L.D. developing weapons of mass destruction using the Tesseract? And why are you conducting T-virus experiments on human subjects?"

Fury's composure finally cracked. "Because of them!" he snapped, pointing accusingly at both Aidan and Thor. "Because of what they represent!"

"Me?" Thor looked genuinely confused by the accusation.

"Over two years ago, an alien visitor arrived on Earth," Fury explained, his voice rising with barely controlled emotion. "We witnessed a battle that destroyed an entire town. We learned not only that we weren't alone in the universe, but that we were pathetically vulnerable. Our weapons, our technology—all of it obsolete against cosmic threats."

Thor stepped forward defensively. "Asgard seeks only peace with your realm. We pose no threat to Earth."

"But you're not the only beings from beyond the stars, are you?" Fury shot back, his eye blazing with intensity. "And you're not the only threat we face." His gaze shifted to Aidan. "There are forces in this world that we cannot control or defeat through conventional means."

"Like conducting human experiments and hoarding cosmic weapons?" Aidan asked with biting sarcasm.

"You of all people—" Fury began, but Thor interrupted again.

"Your use of the Tesseract for weapons research was a beacon to every hostile force in the Nine Realms," Thor declared with growing anger. "You essentially announced that Earth was preparing for intergalactic warfare. You invited this conflict!"

"Intergalactic warfare?" Captain America's tactical mind struggled to process the implications.

"What else could we do?" Fury demanded desperately. "We had to find ways to defend ourselves—"

"Then explain your plans to destroy a peaceful humanitarian organization," Aidan cut him off ruthlessly. "You've already drafted the paperwork for dividing Baymax Corporation's assets among government agencies."

Fury's composure shattered completely. "Don't pretend innocence! I know you orchestrated the Hand Island incident! Your entire company is an elaborate front!"

"You have zero evidence to support that accusation," Aidan replied coldly. "And even if your conspiracy theories were true, my 'elaborate front' has saved over one hundred million lives and countless families. What has your paranoid militarization accomplished?"

"S.H.I.E.L.D. does far more than you realize!" Fury roared.

"We monitor every potential threat on this planet," Natasha added, her voice deadly quiet.

"Is Captain America a threat?" Bruce asked pointedly. "Am I? Are we all just potential enemies to be contained?"

"Everyone is a potential threat!" Fury insisted without hesitation.

"Then why haven't you addressed the nuclear weapons crisis?" Aidan pressed relentlessly. "Instead, you target T-virus research that poses no planetary threat while conducting barbaric human experiments. And after you seize Baymax Corporation, will you continue our global rescue operations? Of course not! Countless people who could be saved will die because of your institutional greed. Your claims about protecting Earth are laughable—everything you do serves your own power structure!"

"That doesn't excuse your casual disregard for human life!" Fury pointed an accusing finger at Aidan.

"I want to know what really happened on the Island," Captain America interjected, but his question was lost in the escalating chaos.

"You talk about control while actively creating disorder!" Tony shouted, his own temper flaring.

"That's what they do," Bruce said, his voice carrying ominous undertones. "They claim we're forming a team, but we'll only generate more chaos together. I'm apparently one bad day away from a complete breakdown."

"The containment cell where Loki is imprisoned?" Bruce continued with bitter realization. "That was designed for me."

"Everyone needs to calm down," Natasha urged as the situation spiraled beyond control, but her words fell on deaf ears. Tony and Captain America had begun their own heated argument.

"What are you without that armor, Stark?"

"Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist," Tony shot back without missing a beat.

"I've known soldiers worth a hundred of you."

"And I've seen the footage, Rogers. You're just a laboratory experiment who got lucky with a magical serum."

"Put on the armor and let's see how tough you really are!"

The Mind Stone's insidious influence was amplifying every negative emotion, turning allies into enemies with surgical precision.

"I have business to attend to," Aidan announced, clearly disgusted by the deteriorating situation. A crimson portal began forming behind him. "You can all destroy each other if you want, but I'd advise against interfering with my operations." He fixed Fury with a final warning glare before stepping toward the dimensional rift.

"Wait!" Fury lunged forward desperately, but Aidan had already vanished through the portal, which snapped shut behind him.

The laboratory fell into stunned silence as everyone stared at the empty space where Aidan had been standing.

"Did he just perform spatial teleportation without any technological assistance?" Bruce's scientific mind reeled at the implications.

"Is that... magic?" Captain America struggled to process what he'd witnessed. Having been frozen for seventy years was proving inadequate preparation for this new world.

"He is one of your world's mystic protectors," Thor explained, filling the void left by the departed sorcerer. "Unlike others, they safeguard dimensional barriers rather than political boundaries."

"He came here with you?" Fury asked, clearly calculating the implications.

"Indeed. He spent over a year in Asgard studying our magical traditions."

"Your people have ongoing contact with Earth's sorcerers?"

"That knowledge is not yours to possess," Thor replied curtly.

The room finally achieved an uneasy quiet, though tensions remained high.

"I think you owe us some explanations about that young man," Captain America said, studying Fury intently. Since Aidan hadn't been part of the Avengers Initiative, Rogers had received no intelligence briefings about him.

"Very well," Fury replied, his expression unreadable as he processed recent events.

BLAAAARE! BLAAAARE!

Before he could elaborate, alarm klaxons suddenly shrieked throughout the Helicarrier. Emergency lighting bathed the laboratory in red as explosions rocked the massive aircraft.

The entire vessel shuddered as fires erupted across multiple decks. Hawkeye had already infiltrated the carrier and begun his assault.

Meanwhile, Aidan materialized in the familiar streets of Queens.
